The service was great! The room was clean and spacious and the pool and hot tub were very relaxing. The pool is very family friendly and the out side hot tub was very relaxing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in Canmore !

My wife and i were on our honeymoon and our suite was very nice and cozy, but the one down fall was that our gift that was given by my parents was set up for us when we got there, the hotel staff were suppose to have everything in the room before we got there, they brought it up when we were just getting settled in, but other then that we would reccomend this place to everyone we know. we loved the view from our patio and the staff were very helpful. we will be going again here soon but with the rest of our family. thanks for a wonderful time in Canmore, Alberta

"We just keep comin' back!"
We have stayed at the Juniper a few times now. Mainly because it is in a beautiful setting just outside of the Banff townsite, with amazing views of Mount Rundle and the Banff Springs Hotel. It is nestled just off the highway in the trees and you feel like you are miles away from the hectic crowds of daily life. You can walk in the woods out back or […] even go cross country skiing. The Juniper also has pet friendly rooms, which helps us enjoy a true "family" getaway. The restaurant is a bit pricey, but the food is top notch. Definitely one of our faves! Read more

Recently renovated interior, environmentally friendly details such as paper packaging for toiletries, gourmet restaurant, beautiful views, very lush natural surrounding. Overall, great value for money.
"Juniper Hotel"
The Hotel was "ok". Beautiful setting. What was disappointing was the quality of the food. The restaurant is in a superb setting, the view is magnificent, but the menu options were rather limited and the quality of the food was not good. We had both lunch and breakfast and were very disappointed.

"The Juniper Hotel in Banff is off the beaten path"
I had an adapted room as I use a wheelchair. Fortunately we had two adjoining rooms. My son & husband slept in the non adapted room which had two beds. I slept in the adapted room reason: Although the hotel advertised the adapted room had one queen sized bed it was closer to a double sized bed. In addition we arrived at 7:00pm and there was no food […] service we had to drive into Banff for a meal. Although the Bistro advertised breakfast at 7:30am There was a notice on the door apologizing that it would open at 8:30am. Again we had to eat in town. The hotel is situated outside Banff sort of in the woods. We really liked that. We stayed Tuesday & Wednesday nights and found the hotel generally quiet. Desk staff were polite but not overly friendly. Room had a wheel in shower. Problem is that hotel(s) do not provide a bathchair/wheelchair so if you have a power chair you are unable to have a shower. If you use a manual chair it will get soaked and you have to sit in a wet chair. The coffee maker in the adapted room was situated where there was no electric plug. My husband had to move it into the washroom, over the sink close to the water taps. Could be dangerous. Read more
Juniper Hotel has a wonderful outlook, overlooking the forests and mountains surrounding Banff. However, sitting on the terrace, although you have a beautiful view you also have the sound of the highway below, with traffic roaring past. We felt that the hotel needs more maintenance, especially in the garden which was looking somewhat neglected - it […] could be really colourful and well maintained but sadly was not. The staff were helpful and when we found that our bathroom stocks had not been replenished, the reception manager brought a supply up herself. Read more
We enjoyed the view and since we were not specifically doing things in the town, itwas an excellent location
"The Juniper Hotel Banff - Just alright"
Was told on arrival that we had the best room in the hotel (103) it was just OK, Balcony room that was booked was on ground floor??? King bed was two single mattresses put together, not the most comfortable. Linens starting to get worn but were clean and changed every day. A little noisy if you got kids jumping around in the room above you could only […] imagine if there was a wedding booked in the hall. Had a great location for using the park and easy to get to the town. Read more
"The Juniper Hotel in Banff - not too clean"
We used the cups for coffee but the housekeeper did not clean or change them, just put them upside down so we could still see the coffee marks. Besides the dirty cups, overall is good.
"Such comfort!"
We were on a long road trip and were very tired. We arrived just in tme to order a great meal. The service was excellent and the duvet pillows and comforter gave us the best sleep in what seemed like weeks! We loved how the room had a door that opened out onto the grassy area and we had the most spectacular view of the mountains. We will definitely […] recommend this to our friends and for sure will stay on our next trip through. M.Walker Read more

"Juniper Hotel - close to Banff and ski hill"
Nice place, comfortable, quiet, hot tub was rather lukewarm but otherwise all was great.
"Juniper Hotel, Banff. Beautiful location"
Staff very curteous, however, motel lacking some importent immenities, like closet, microwave oven, iron etc. Continental breakfast and coffee in the morning would have been a nice touch, as the room coffee is not the best. Dining Room good but expensive.
"thejuniper"
peaceful surroundings outside , but allowing pets was noisy at times
"Good Value"
Nice hotle and good value for money We would stay here again
"cosy warm hotel with great veiws"
the juniper hotel in banff has great views and is nice and cosy with a lovely bar that has a large log fire, food is great and service alike. the room was clean and cosy with added extras like dressing gowns and cork screw and books about the area, this hotel is just outside of the town which suited us because it was quiet as we have a five year old […] but you do need a car to get into town as its to far to walk.plenty of parking spaces. "Loved it!"
Excellent hotel, especially for the price! Rooms are clean, modern and functional with a great view no matter which side you are on. Beds are extremely comfortable (pillow top) with great pillows. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again, also loved the location being situated privately in the wilderness just across the highway. Short 3 min drive […] into town. Only issue for me (a VERY minor one) is the lack of counter space in bathroom, but modern and new bathroom made up for it. Stay here if you like a clean, functional, modern hotel with no frills, but everything you need, at a great price! Read more
"The Juniper - Not very clean, not very friendly."
The title says it all. The best part of this place is the view from the south facing rooms as well as the hot tub. Unfortunately the hot tub began cooling off while we were in it and the staff were completely unsympathetic.
Although this hotel was not right in Banff, there was a lovely view of the mountain and some woods to walk through. The bed was NOT a Queen size and we cannot figure out how they call it that size but adequate and comfortable. It is nice to have pillow choices too. The restaurant is very expensive and so we chose not to eat there but there are many […] nice places right in Banff to have meals. It would have been nice if they had a complimentary breakfast as most places do but we enjoyed out stay there. Read more
"check if there is a wedding before!!!"
The hotel is very good, but we booked it for a saturday night and there was a wedding: people that were not part of the weeding had their room close to the wedding, lot of noise, people in the hall..restaurant closed... we choosed this hotel for the calm and the restaurant, it was not that! the second night was better! so this hotel is very good but […] not the wedding day! "Juniper Hotel"
Our party included one person confined to a wheelchair. The hotel has an accessible shower stall for wheelchair access, however, they did not have a shower chair to transfer into. They provided a bench, with no back support. A chair is a must! Other than that, the hotel has a GREAT view from the deck and is clean with recent updates. Very pleasant stay […] overall. Read more
"Exactly what we wanted"
We recently spent 3 nights at the Juniper and they were wonderful. Went to the Bistro the first night and the food was amazing and well worth the price - the view from the dining room is unbeatable. The room was great with wonderful view of town of Banff and surrounding mountains. We would definitely stay here again and again.
"The Juniper Hotel in Banff, Canada"
We loved the location of the hotel. It is about 20 mins walk from the center of town Banff and hotel staffs were very friendly and nice. Hotel itself was very clean with large room. We also loved the views from our room as well. I will definitely recommend this place.
"The Juniper: A Study in Contrasts"
This is a hotel on the outskirts of Banff that has put a lot of thought into some things and too little in others. Depending on your perspective, the exterior might look like a glorified motel or a sophisticated two story boutique hotel. The interior has combination of natural woods, stone and sleek lines and original local art. Overall, its an updated […] sixties modern with a touch of Frank Lloyd Wright. The disappointment begins when you enter your room. They are small. The bathrooms are small. There is insufficient storage for two people. The cleaning people didn't clean underneath the bed or table and our sheets were dirty when we go there. On the other hand, they have a nice restaurant with good food. Not cheap but with great views of the surrounding mountains which is an advantage over the hotels on hotel row in downtown Banff. The front desk seems inadequately prepared. When asked about things to do in the area, we received a deer in the headlights look and then a bunch of brochures. When we asked how we could print our airline boarding passes, we were told we had to pay a fee for 30 minutes on the computer. While this hotel has several good things going for it, at this price level, most people would expect a higher level of service. Read more

Close to town and lovely peaceful setting. Good food, helpful and pleasant staff. Dogs so welcomed!!!
"Great views at the Juniper"
We stayed at the Juniper for three weeknights while on vacation in June. This is an older (1950s?) hotel that has been thoroughly refurbished to a very modern style. We paid a bit more for a mountain view, which we really enjoyed. The location was convenient for exploring the park and we enjoyed being a little outside the bustle of town. You can hear […] the highway below but it's really not bad. The only thing we didn't like was that the sound from the hallway did seem to come into the room which woke us up a few times. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay! Read more
"Fantastic Stay!"
I got a great deal on this hotel for two nights. The rooms were great, staff was friendly, and the restaurant had great happy hour specials from 3pm-5pm which were enjoyed by the big roaring fire. Highly recommend this place, a short 3 minute drive from downtown Banff and close to Norquay for skiing.
"Third Stay at this hotel"
We love this hotel, it is a way out of town, but we like that. It takes about 20/25 mins to walk into town but it's flat. We recommend you ask for a second floor room at either end of the building - sound proofing isn't great so you need a room with nothing above you. Staff are always friendly, we always book rooms at the front ( NOT Norquay ), the […] views are great over Vermillion Lakes. If you are just in the stages of thinking about visiting Banff just do it................it's amazing scenery and we were in a 'bear jam' within 10 miles of the hotel. Read more

"Juniper at Banff"
Lovely property, pricey restaurant with no simple appetizers. Fabulous views. We had a suite with a fireplace (it didn't work) and the amenities in the room were so very nice. The only comment I have about this property is that it is located right off the Trans-Canadian highway and if you have a room on that side of the property and your door/window […] is open, you will hear the freeway. Otherwise, it was a great place to stay. Read more
"Juniper is definately a good value."
Our family stayed at the Juniper for one night and the staff and accomodations were exceptional and met all of our expectations. The location might be an inconvenience for some but not an issue for us. Banff is a short 5 minute vehicle drive away and we luckily found a parking spot close to downtown. We went only for a quick walkabout and dinner so […] were out in a couple of hours. Other hotels in Banff itself allow visitors the convenience of exploring the town from their door step. This is especially important for those that want to spend a lot of time shopping or exploring. At $3 per hour, parking in Banff (if you can find any) adds up fast if one plans to spend the day exploring the town's amenities. We chose the Juniper because it is less costly than most, newer construction, eco friendly, and it provided us with good value. We will book there again on another trip. Cheers Read more

"Quiet oasis in Banff"
We loved the Juniper. Very close to Banff without the noise and crowds of tourists. The on site dining room was very good and the view spectacular.
"Nice Hotel in Banff"
It is a nice hotel. Away from the center of Banff (aon the other side of hwy). We like it that way. It is in the middle of the national park, so it is nice to stay away from the overly commericalized Banff town center. But it is also close enough if you want to shop and eat out. We would stay there again if we visit Banff in the future. The staff were […] very friendly. The room is a bit small, but it is very clean and has a modern feel to it. The only down side, it doesn't have elevators. But the staff were very nice and they practically carried all of our luggages up to our room. The beds were nice and soft. Internet was decent. We didn't get a chance to try the restaurant attached. But it looks nice and it certainly has a great view on the deck. Overall, it was probably the most comfortable stay that we had in the 2 weeks that we visited Canada. Read more

"The Juniper Hotel, Banff"
We reserved a room with the mountain view balcony. The hotel does have an awesome view of Banff and surrounding mountains. The room was somewhat small but had everything advertised, including a refrigerator, internet, tv, and a very comfortable bed. The hotel is not actually in Banff where most of the other hotels are, its actually up a hill by highway […] 1. This is what gives the balcony rooms a great view of Banff and surrounding mountains. To get to Banff was literally a 2-3 minute drive, only 2 km or so. We were very happy with the hotel stay and will be back again. Read more
