    “

Loved the setting of this hotel. My view was of Mt Norquay and was splendid. Although it is not in the heart of Banff, it is close enough to get into... town. Well maintained and was very comfortable. I would and will definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone that wants to be close to the ski hill and away from the noise and business of Banff. Easy to get to and a real pleasure to stay. Rates were extremely affordable. Loved it!!!

Nice hotel, with clean rooms. Fridge and microwave are a plus, as is the generous breakfast included ("continental", but also with eggs and sausages, I think they call it "hot continental"). Only annoyance is of course the rail track if you are on that side of the hotel; it is manageable with the window closed but I assume it might bother some people.

Loved it! We got the unit with two bedrooms and a pull out couch and fireplace in the living room. Close to Banff but cheaper than staying in Banff. All the kitchen stuff were there, even salt and pepper (realized this after buying it at Safeway of course). 2 barbecue units outside, a small (very small) hot tub outside and laundry machines in the office building. When you pay for laundry, they give you the dryer sheet and soap too. Highly recommend this place

"Fantastic!" Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 2, 2012

Great location - short walk to town, and the renovations are really impressive. Everything was finished to a high spec. We had a 2 queen bed room and the beds were seperated by the bathroom area which we were impressed with as it gave a little more privacy. We had 2 granite sinks outside the bathroom which was great for a group of girls getting ready to go out. The hot tub area in the center was just gorgeous. The staff were really friendly and willing to help. The breakfast was good, although there wasnt a huge selection it was good enough for a complimentary breakfast and everything was fresh. Overall, very impressed and would definitely stay again!

we had a very nice stay to the hotel. The rooms where suprisingly useful. The washer and dryers was a blessing, and having a ful kitchen was great, so we didin't have to leave and eat out at expensive resteraunts.

    A short guide to Banff

Banff is a town within Banff National Park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Ski buffs can hit the slopes at Sunshine Village and Ski Norquay. The Banff Gondola whisks visitors to the top of Sulphur Mountain. The Upper Hot Springs, at the base of Sulphur Mountain, is a popular spot to relax sore muscles. I had an adapted room as I use a wheelchair. Fortunately we had two adjoining rooms. My son & husband slept in the non adapted room which had two beds. I slept in the adapted room reason: Although the hotel advertised the adapted room had one queen sized bed it was closer to a double sized bed. In addition we arrived at 7:00pm and there was no food […] service we had to drive into Banff for a meal. Although the Bistro advertised breakfast at 7:30am There was a notice on the door apologizing that it would open at 8:30am. Again we had to eat in town. The hotel is situated outside Banff sort of in the woods. We really liked that. We stayed Tuesday & Wednesday nights and found the hotel generally quiet. Desk staff were polite but not overly friendly. Room had a wheel in shower. Problem is that hotel(s) do not provide a bathchair/wheelchair so if you have a power chair you are unable to have a shower. If you use a manual chair it will get soaked and you have to sit in a wet chair. The coffee maker in the adapted room was situated where there was no electric plug. My husband had to move it into the washroom, over the sink close to the water taps. Could be dangerous. Read more

This is a hotel on the outskirts of Banff that has put a lot of thought into some things and too little in others. Depending on your perspective, the exterior might look like a glorified motel or a sophisticated two story boutique hotel. The interior has combination of natural woods, stone and sleek lines and original local art. Overall, its an updated […] sixties modern with a touch of Frank Lloyd Wright. The disappointment begins when you enter your room. They are small. The bathrooms are small. There is insufficient storage for two people. The cleaning people didn't clean underneath the bed or table and our sheets were dirty when we go there. On the other hand, they have a nice restaurant with good food. Not cheap but with great views of the surrounding mountains which is an advantage over the hotels on hotel row in downtown Banff. The front desk seems inadequately prepared. When asked about things to do in the area, we received a deer in the headlights look and then a bunch of brochures. When we asked how we could print our airline boarding passes, we were told we had to pay a fee for 30 minutes on the computer. While this hotel has several good things going for it, at this price level, most people would expect a higher level of service. Read more
