Best Western Bayfront Inn - St. Augustine

Unfortunate for us, it rained 2 of the 3 days we stayed in St. Augustine. We still managed to have a good time, but due to the inside/outside AC unit in the wall everything in our room stayed damp, the carpet, the towels, the bed coverlets and by the end of our stay our clothing. The bathroom did not have a fan, so this added to the moisture effect. […] There was a 1" gap under our access door, so the smell from people smoking outside could easily waft in, so we placed a towel there to eliminate that and bugs that might have an idea to come hang out. Parking was very limited and tight, don't bring a vehicle bigger than a midsize car, you will regret it. It appeared as though this place had recently been renovated, but at the cheapest avenue possible. We would not stay here again and felt it certainly WAS NOT worth the money. Read more

This room was very comfortable and almost perfectly clean. Around the shower door could have a little more attention. Other than that this place was great! Lot's of pillows! The upgrades on this hotel have made the room more comfortable. Let me say the bed is high off the ground, king size room, to where I just stand up when I get off the bed. The bed also, which is new and beautiful is hard. My bad back needs a softer mattress and I was sore the next morning, but I walked it off. The T.V. channels don't come in that well. […] We had to change out the refrigerator because it was broken and the staff was friendly and very helpful with that. It is in a beautiful bay front view and walking distance to shopping and dining. I do know you can order breakfast but we didn't try it, there's a great restaurant at the edge of the property. This place could really be much better with a little effort. Parking is very tight and very disorganized. Many times in returning to the hotel there was no place to park. The evening staff/manager seemed pretty inexperienced and not really into service (morning manager had it together a bit more). The beds were fine but the blankets were super thin […] and cheap and with the AC right by the bed it got a little chilly. Best thing about the hotel is location. It's walking distance from most of the best attractions. Altogether for the price (we paid about $160 per night, it was not a very good deal and I won't stay there again. Read more

One of my favorite "motor" lodges. Right on the beautiful Matanzas Bay, and at the end of the historic district. Plenty of great restaurants, bars and music haunts nearby. Very friendly to motorcycles. Actually pretty quite for being in the middle of a lot of activity.

The rooms are small, but clean and nicely updated. There is a small balcony where you can sit and enjoy the water views. The location is amazing- this is really the key feature! We really enjoyed our stay here and would certainly come again.

The hotel was very clean, The pool was a bit cold, as it is partially shaded. Parking was very tight, but included with your stay. Given the choice of staying in this hotel, or in your car, pick your car. Room was filthy, strong oder of smoke, extremely noisy and SMALL.The only redeaming feature of this hotel was the location. We had a reservation for 2 adults and 2 children and they tried to stick us in a room with a king sized bed. When I brought this to the front desk they told me they didnt have a rooms with two beds avalible, but they would put 2 roll aways in the room for us. Now these rooms are tiny and there would have been only enough for one roll away and nothing […] else. Ended up finding the one and only two beds in town which was a mile away from where we needed to be and with town being packed there was no where to park and we had to pay to park and then walk forever.
