This was our first time to a B&B and the experience was great. Very friendly staff and they made our stay very pleasant and very welcoming. I would stay here again and recommend to my friends.

This was our first time at a bed and breakfast and we have to say that this was the best get away that we have ever had. Cindy the inn keeper was amazing and made us feel that it was our home. She would go out of her way for anything. I would HIGHLY recommend this to everybody. A beautiful place with fantastic hospitality, who wouldn't want to stay here? We loved every bit of it and definitely will be back!!!! Thank you Bayberry Inn of Newport and Thank you Cindy for making our romantic stay amazing. See you soon.

"Lovely Place to Stay!!"
Lovely place to stay. We were in Bayberry Suite. Really nice room. Was greeted by housekeeper Cindy who couldn't have been nicer. Location really central. Selection at breakfast excellent, all home-made and served in beautiful dining room. Would definitely go back.

We had an amazing two night second honeymoon at the Bayberry Inn! From the minute we arrived, Jennifer and David could not have done more to make our stay special. From the fresh baked cookies and hot apple cider, champagne, fresh flowers and the best breakfast we have ever eaten, no detail was overlooked. Our room was beautiful, so romantic with the fireplace and jacuzzi tub, as well as the extremely comfortable king sized bed. We enjoyed sitting outside on the porch swing in the evening, and loved the location, walking distance to everything. Jennifer and David were so helpful with dinner recommendations, as well as activities that were suited to our tastes. The inn is truly beautiful. Look no further, this is the perfect place to getaway. Looking forward to many return visits!

This is an excellent B&B within walking distance to everything in Newport with onsite parking. The room was great, it included a large comfortable king bed, gas fireplace and huge Jacuzzi tub. (I believe this is true of all rooms) An early evening wine tasting with meats & cheeses was a nice way to meet other guests of the inn. The morning coffee was on at 6:30 followed at 8:30 by a continental breakfast of fresh breads, local yogurt, various berries and a warm melt in your mouth blueberry cake crafted by our innkeeper Jennifer. She followed that up both mornings with a gourmet egg creation at 9:00. That my friends is value! Hope you get a chance to stay here too. Michael & Ginny

Stayed here for two nights and met Jennifer as we pulled up to their free carpark. She said are you Mr.... which was nice even before we introduced ourselves. Jennifer makes the most perfect breakfasts. Not over the top but different and freshly made for the individuals. Free wifi and huge rooms. Little tired but still very pleasant. Location is great for Newport, mansions or cliff walk and no real need to drive. Should we return to Newport we'll be staying with them

My husband surprised me with a b-day trip to Newport and made all the arrangements himself, picking out the Bayberry Inn for our stay. He couldn't have picked a better place for our getaway. The Bayberry Inn looks like one of the nicest B&B in the area. We weren't able to stay in the original room he booked due to a three day Columbus Day minimum stay, but the Innkeeper, Jennifer, called him ahead of time and we were able to have the Honeymoon Suite, which was just beautiful, and very romantic. Jennifer went out of her way to welcome us from the minute we arrived and suggest great places for dinner. Upon our return from dinner, she was waiting with a bottle of sparkling wine to toast my birthday. Talk about going the extra mile. How nice it was to sit on the porch swing, sipping our wine, and talking to many of the guests staying there. Everyone there couldn't say enough about their room and their stay. Breakfast was so over the top. We'd come down at 8:30 for coffee and yogurt and fruit (they have an unbelievable continental breakfast spread) and starting at 9 homemade breakfast was made. Cookies and cider and tea were out at 4. I have stayed at B&B's before, but have never had the treatment or food, or even the beautiful room that we had here. Our thanks to Jennifer for helping to make our visit such a great one. We're already planning a trip back here with friends!

This is beautiful, historic inn, walking distance to town with an amazing breakfast provided by lovely and helpful staff! Thank you Jennifer! We stayed off-season, mid-week for a great discounted rate. Gorgeous bed rooms, dining room and a big front porch for late night sitting.

Spent last weekend at The Bayberry again we love this place. This place makes you feel so at home this is why we stay here every time we are in Newport for the weekend which has been several times this year. I love the atmosphere of the house. Everyone we have ever meet there is so kind and great to talk to. this time we went out with a guest to the beach and lunch the next day. Later that night a few of us sat on the beautiful porch and watched the eclipse with some wine that we all shared. Jen is one of the best inn keepers we have ever meet she makes our stay so enjoyable and comfortable she tries to accommodate the guest the best she can.There where fresh flowers in the rooms and throughout the house. The Bayberry is so inviting people walk off the street to look around. I love the fact I can get coffee at 7am if I like, and the mini buffet before breakfast is great for munching on before the exquisite breakfast she makes to your liking. We enjoy the company here and love the surroundings, it is so close to many of Newports interests we walk everywhere. Theres just something special about this place it keeps us coming back for more.

Who provides breakfast starting at 9:00 a.m? Who doesn't follow up once breakfast is served? Who asks but forgets about meal limitations with only 4 guests? Who served overcooked and stale cookies from prior day? Who failed to set up 6:30 a.m. continental buffet? Who forgot to prepare morning coffee, leaving grinds in coffeemaker from prior night? Who answered phone at 8:10 a.m. when we called because SHE WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND? The INNKEEPER JENNIFER! REALLY??? Experienced cold water in shower as well. It's unfortunate as the free parking, locale, beautiful dining room and lovely B&B could be oh so nice. We've been to many lovely B&B's and were very disappointed with our stay.

Need a class in customer service, trust as far as you can throw...stay away! Our story: Booked a night in the "red room," upon late check-in with no Innkeeper present we were left a key to our room - great. When we entered our room we were surprised to see another couples' belongings in our room that we booked. Immediately called the innkeepers number on stack of Bayberry Inn's business cards on first floor landing, after several calls and no answers - a woman answers and replied by saying it was the wrong number (how can you have a wrong number on your business card?) After several phone calls and about an hour of sitting in lobby tired and exhausted from long drive with no room, another couple walked into foyer and said they had a similar problem when they checked in and to call this number (we were not the only victims). We called the number they gave us and got a voicemail to the Innkeeper - Jennifer. Another hour later from relentless phone calls we finally got in touch with Jennifer who was not able to return to Inn because she was at a party. At this point after sitting in lobby for 4 hours we had left to go get dinner to save sitting in lobby for hours more. They managed to find someone to come back and leave us a key to another room hours later - midnight!!! Jennifer greeted us next morning with apologies. Ultimately, Jennifer OFFERED to give us a two night stay along with a free dinner somewhere in Newport and that she would send us the certificate the following day or next (without us even asking for compensation). When we followed up after not hearing from her a few days later Jennifer apologized again and said we would have by end of week. End of week came and we contacted her again. She then said "so sorry again" and that we would get the certificates a few days later. Again nothing! This went on for 3 weeks. 3 weeks later after 10 emails to her back and forth guaranteeing the certificates, she then tells us that she was not at liberty to offer the free nights and took it back and said they would give us a free dinner! That's it!!! We have never experienced this in any Inn in all of our travels. Jennifer the innkeeper is horrible! The owner of the Inn is no better for not fixing this horrible experience! We have NEVER written a bad review ever before! Stay away!

Hubby and I popped in to meet the innkeeper and see the inn. We had made three attempts to get in touch with them (an email and two phone calls) and no response. We had been stopping into inns all day (we are looking for room blocks for an event) and this one looked so inviting! Long story short... She was rude rude rude! I've never been met by staff of a business with such little customer service. Too bad! Looked lovely! I'll gladly take my business elsewhere....

Stumbled upon this beautiful bed and breakfast. Beautiful and clean room,wonderful homemade breakfast. The inn keeper Jennifer was extremely helpful, very informative and made our stay extremely special. Can't wait to revisit the inn and Jennifer. P.S. she takes requests for breakfast and the homemade breads and cakes are wonderful
