My fiance and I stayed at this hotel during our brief trip to Bermuda. We had to go out there to put some finishing touches on our wedding planning. Although we will be having our reception at a different hotel, we highly recommend this hotel to our wedding guests. We had a beautiful view of the beach from our room and even took a little stroll on the […] beach. Very romantic! The staff was mostly friendly. The concierge were polite but somewhat solemnand serious, but for the most part we were pleased with the service. We had dinner there at the restaurant the first night and I have to say that it was excellent. I don't know if it was because I was hungry or what but I inhaled my food. The second night the bar tender at the hotel advised us to go to The Pickled Onion in Hamilton.....as must go. There is a small store within walking distance and another restaurant which we had a very tasty breakfast at down the street called Paraquet. Overall I recommend this hotel to everybody! Read more

Couldn't have been more happy with our stay - the hotel was near full capacity but it still felt like we had the place to ourselves! It sits on the end of a gorgeous stretch of beach with a heated pool that overlooks the beach. We didn't have the warmest weather while we were there, so having the pool was great. Hotel restaurant was fantastic as well. […] Ken, the manager, was always on site and so friendly and helpful... always making sure we were happy. The room wasn't fancy but hey, you're on a stunning tropical island so the last place you should be spending your time is in your room! It was clean, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Pleasantly surprised at how much I loved the hotel. VERY close to pristine flat beach, with breathtaking view of ocean. Lots of drawer space....great shelf space in bathroom....wihich was very spacious, clean and new. I had a room with the ocean view. It was located about 0.5km/500yd from Elbow Beach resort. The rooms were a bit outdated, but that did not bother me as the view of the ocean and just about 50yd distance from the beach made up for it. I gave 4 stars, because the room had a bit of "moist" air/smell. I wish they used strong air cleaner to mask it. It […] really wasn't that bad because we didn't spend much time in the room, and we seemed to get used to the smell within a minute or so, but still... The room had its own patio with a small table, 2 chairs, and a lawn chair. There's a grocery store very close (about 1km/1090yd) to the hotel and a bus stop. All bus drivers were extremely nice and willing to tell you were to get off or transfer the buses. Bus's token cost about $4 whereas taxi was $11 (without a tip) to Hamilton and about $45 to St. George's/ airport. The bus ride from the National Museum and Rum Cake Factory was only about 30 minutes long and it was beautiful. Besides, you can hop off the bus to enjoy other beaches, such as, Horseshoe beach. The bus ride to St. George's required a few transfers and lasted about one hour. I would most definitely return to the hotel. Read more

Perfect Location (on the Coral beach next to and sharing the same beach as exclusive Elbow Bay Resort). Rooms were adaquate (Rm 118 upstairs is preferred since it is at the end) and service kept them clean. Service personel were courteous excepting afternoon/dinner and lounge waiters. They treated most people without care or attentiveness. Id rate the resort a 4 out 5. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was great. The beach area was fantastic. The restaurant was just OK. Only bad thing about this place is that there is nothing really close, within walking distance, but thats not the resorts fault. You really have to take a taxi or the bus everywhere. I generally try to stay in hotels in Hamilton, but when they are fully booked, I venture out to the South Shore. Coco Reef was a very nice stay considering the cheap rate I was offered. It is not that convenient for business travel, but I had borrowed a friend's scooter, so it was easy for me to get to work in the mornings.

I would very much recommend Coco Reef to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation. It's not a resort with activities like some of the all-inclusives I've been to in the Caribbean, but if you're looking to spend some quality time at the beach, I can't imagine a better place. The cleanliness of the room is overshadowed by the dated bathroom/furniture and fixtures. The room was clean but never felt it because it was so dated. The mildew on the beach chairs and tattered umbrella's were a major dissapointment. Why do you travel to Bermuda? Wouldn't you think that the hotel would have chairs and umbrella's that were clean? to […] add insult.....they didnt have anyone on the beach to set up the chairs and umbrella for you, nor had any wait staff walk the beach offering drinks/food. Fortunately the hotel next door did. The front desk staff was about as unwelcoming as imaginable. The food was eatable but average. We went into Hamilton 3x to eat at the Princess which was terrific. The two ratty looking cats that roam the grounds creeped me and my wife out. Being right on Elbow beach was the best part of the visit. In defense of the hotel, I felt that I got what I paid for. Had i stayed next door I would have had to pay 2-3 times what i paid for staying at Coco Reef. Read more

We could not have asked for a better hotel, we had privacy but the staff was fantastic! we literally had the beach at our feet! We could go swim in the ocean, then the pool, change and have the most wonderful supper, or have lunch then go to the beach... We loved being able to catch the bus to Hamilton or dockside or any where and the staff at the hotel […] was very nice and helpful if we needed anything... we even got a ride to our room a couple of times, in the golf cart! i think Coco Reef is great for a couple or for a family! The rooms are spacious and bright and they even have a fridge for your beer! We will go back to Coco Reef for ever stay in Bermuda! Beautiful beach easy to walk onto, unlike many others in Bermuda that are far away from the hotels. The hotel is located on the bus line and very convenient to everything. Perfect location for us. Right on the edge of Elbow Beach. Absolutely beautiful view from our balcony. Beach was mostly empty. Weather perfect. Great swimming at the beach. Never bothered with the pool. A bit of a hike from the front desk/restaurant down to the beach for anyone who has any sort of walking difficulties. Beach - just walk out onto it - is beautiful, adjacent to Elbow Beach and Coral Reef properties and their restaurants. Ideal location, close to Hamilton, or other South […] Shore beaches/restaurants/sites. WIFI in the room (beach front) didn't work, only in main lobby, and you'll need instructions on setting the A/C to prevent frequent on/off. Some newer beach furniture/umbrellas would be welcomed. We really enjoyed our stay at Coco Reef. The staff were great - they made reservations for us for a snorkeling tour, scheduled taxis for us, helped us find clothes when our luggage didn't come in on the plane until a day late. This hotel is right on Elbow beach, and every room has an ocean view. Ours had a king size bed, balcony and daily maid service. […] Also a small refrigerator and TV with cable. There's a pool but no hot tub. There's no outside shower to rinse off after swimming in the ocean, but there is a designated rinse hose. But you can use the next-door hotel's (a much more expensive place) outdoor shower and restrooms (you are supposed to be a guest there, but no-one's checking) for the lower price of Coco Reef. While the South side of the island has the best beaches, we didn't find that there was much use snorkeling on the hotel's beach. The waves are a little more rough there, and there was only sand to see. The sand is so soft under your feet, and there's no rocks to hurt your feet in the water. If you haven't been to Bermuda, you should know that it is an expensive place to visit - food and everything else costs much more than we were used to in the US. We recommend getting a moped and exploring the island, and make sure you schedule a day at Horseshoe Bay. Read more
