"close to sights/shopping"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We loved it - great location, staff and breakfast. Lovely, large second floor room.
"Good Value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Ardmore is a clean, modern hotel that has power showers and staff that are friendly. The food served is well prepared and affordable. For the money it can't be beat, but if you want nice pillows, soft towels& cozy bedding then you should spend the extra money to get them. Those of us who prefer value over the little "extras" would love this hotel. The 15 minute bus ride into downtown wasn't bad unless you JUST missed the bus and have to wait another twenty minutes to get on. It is a great location for a first night into Dublin or your last because it is only 15 minutes to the airport!

"Close enough to everything, far enough for quiet"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
Very pleasant. We stayed directly in temple bar 3 nights before and wanted one night of quiet before we left. Receptionist was extremely helpful and even mailed a postcard for me so I wouldn't have to walk. Would stay again.

"Close to Airport"
The check-in staff were wonderful!
"Far from sites-shady neighborhood"
This hotel is very nice, however it is not close to any of the sites in Dublin with the exception of Croke Park Stadium which is directly across the way. The thing that concerned us is that when we went in town, we were told be several locals that the neighborhood was not safe. One cab driver told us to not walk through the neighborhood at night or […] go into any of the pubs because there is a good chance that we would be mugged. The hotel has tons of security in fact the elevator will not work without a working room key but the hotel also has signs in the room that discourage you from using the in-room safe and to instead use the safe deposit provided at the hotels reception. We were there while there was an event at Croke Park Stadium and there was at least 10 police officers in the streets and in the hotel. The benefit of this hotel is free parking but if you want something close to the sites this is not the hotel for you. Read more

"Great stay"
My wife and I stayed here for a portion of our honeymoon, the staff was very kind and knowledgable. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was that it is located directly across from a sports stadium, which brought in a lot of people for a game. Other than that everything was great1
Fabulous hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Wonderful breakfast. The hotel was a bit further from the city centre than we thought. Other than the Croke Park Stadium, there is not much in the surrounding area. despite that, we loved the hotel and would recommend it.
"Great hotel with fantastic service"
The hotel staff could not have been more accommodating. They were absolutely fantastic. From the moment we checked in early to when we checked out they went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic stay. The hotel rooms were clean and had everything we needed in them, the food in the restaurant was fantastic. This was overall the best hotel experience […] I have ever had and I will definitely return. Thanks to the staff for looking after us so well. Read more
Good location fairly close to Dublin attractions. Short cab ride everywhere, and there was always a cab out front. Only stayed for one night, our first night in Dublin, and it was good to have somewhere comfortable to take a nap and get acclamated with the new time zone. Would definitely stay here again.
"Nice Hotel, Poor Location"
The Croke Park is a nice hotel with very clean, spacious and modern rooms. It also has excellent breakfast in a lovely dining room. However, its location is off the beaten path for the average tourist, requiring a bit of a walk through a so-so area to get to O'Connell Street. It is located directly across from the Croke Park stadium which would be ideal […] for someone coming to Dublin to attend a game there. Read more
"Nice hotel at an odd location"
The hotel is right across from a huge stadium. It is within a 15 min walk to where tour busses start. The hotel is modern and clean, but the surrounding area is a little "sad"..
"Croake Park Hotel in Dublin"
Lovely hotel.... ideal for the stadium and not far from the city centre

"Great Hotel, OK location"
Wonderful hotel. Excellent facilities and the staff is very helpful. It is a bit of a walk to get into the heart of Dublin. For what we paid, the quality of the hotel outweighed the minor drawback of being a bit of a walk to get to the major sights and shopping. Bottom line - I will stay at the Croke Park Hotel again.
"Nice stay"
It was just fine - helpful, pleasant. Nice amenities; easy walk into town; breakfast about a B average. Not spectacular , but for the money very good value, since Ireland is pretty expensive. Would recommend it and would stay there again.
"Very nice"
The hotel was very nice.
"excellent hotel but a little off the beaten path"
This hotel is excellent, everything one could expect in a nice hotel. No complaints at all on the hotel. The only slight problem was it's location. It is not really near anything and required a 10-15 minute walk into the main part of town.
"The Croke Park Hotel Experience"
We recently spent 10 days touring Ireland, it was a trip we wanted to make all of our lives. We stayed an extra 2 days after the tour ended so we were there for 4 days and nights total. Croke Park Hotel was the best experience out of all the places we stayed, the facility was very clean and modern, the food was great and the staff could not have been […] any more friendly and accommodating. We loved all the people we met in Ireland and the Croke Park Hotel made us feel like we were staying with family. Thank you. Read more
"Croke Park Hotel in Dublin ireland"
The hotel itself was a very nice facility. The room had a double and a singlre bed. The double bed was comfortable. Our room overlooked a courtyard which would have been a nice place to visit in the summer months. The room was not the best one we stayed in durring our visit, but it was very comfortable. The decor was modernistic. The Hotel is opposite […] the Croke park Stadium and is in a "rundown" area. It was about a 15 minute walk to O Connell street, which is one of the main streets in Dublin, but we only walked it durring the day. We took cabs at night, which were about 6 to seven Euro's. We enjoyed our stay here, but would have opted for a more closer hotel to the activities of Dublin in the downtown area. Read more
"Croke Park Hotel Dublin - Did Not Let Us Down!"
We knew that we were going to arrive at the hotel a few hours before check-in. So we figured we could ditch our bags and head in to town. However, we were pleasantly surprised to be told that we could have a coffee, relax a bit and check-in to our room within an hour or so. That friendly, professional and effortless level of service continued throughout […] the entire weekend. The hotel facilities are fantastic and include a gym, business center with free internet and a restaurant. The room itself was very clean, it had a huge bed with a very generously sized bathroom. I was a bit concerned about the location being a bit too far out, however the city center is only a 15-20 minute walk away or 7-8€ in a taxi. I was very pleased that we had chosen The Croke Park Hotel. Read more

"Great Hotel"
Friendly staff, excellent location. Great value.
"Lovely hotel in Dublin - would return for a longer stay"
I was in Dublin with a work colleague for a Conference recently. We viewed the Internet for a hotel to stay in for the 2 nights. The hotel was excellant but a little far from the venue of the Conference which was DCU. Nevertheless we were very impressed with the standard of this hotel. Our early morning call and booking of taxis was very punctual. Overall […] an excellant choice. Read more
"Tull marks for this hotel"
This is a brilliant hotel and great value for money. All the staff we met were very pleasant and courteous and I'd like to give a special mention to the concierge, who was one of the old school and a very helpful chap indeed.
"Fantastic hotel!"
Fabulous hotel, beautiful room, very friendly and helpful staff! Would definetely stay there again. Highly recommended.
"Good base"
A friend and I enjoyed a 4 day stay in Dublin. It was a pleasant easy stroll into the city centre which helped to work off the great continental breakfast we enjoyed in the executive lounge. Very friendly staff and a very comfortable hotel. Recommended.
"Location is not good for tourists"
Although I love to walk, the walk from the Temple Bar area or even from O'Connell made this a less attractive hotel. The physical plant itself was lovely. Also, the staff was primarily not Irish and did not know as much about Dublin as would have been helpful,
"Nice Hotel"
Hotel is very nice with new modern feel. It is right in front of the Croke stadium but not much else in the area. It is about a 15 minute walk down to the city center and Trinity College.
"Exceptional value"
The hotel is located in the North end of the city about fifteen minutes walk to the centre. It overlooks Croke Park Sports Stadium. There were two all Ireland football quarter finals played whilst we were there, but provided you avoid the crowds entering and exiting it will not cause you any inconvenience. The room was spacious, well appointed […] and spotlessly clean with a magnificent shower/bathroom suite. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a trouser press. The only downside was that there was no drawer space. Odd It would only be fair to emphasize that the hotel is situated in a fairly run down area and we didn't feel safe to walk in the area, especially in the evening. Having said that it is very well run and we felt secure and comfortable within it's confines. Incidentally you need your room key card to operate the lifts. Push the card into the slot and retrieve it quickly, a green light will show,- then select the floor number you require, if it shows a red circle around the number you are on your way. The reception staff were excellent and extremely helpful at all times,- having said that , we found that most of the people in the city were like minded and helped to make our stay a memorable and enjoyable one. "Croke Park Hotel"
Lovely place to stay & homely atmosphere.
"Wish I could afford it more often"
Very nice hotel right accross from Croke Park. There is not a lot to say ybout - it is 4 star hotel as it should be. I could afford it only thanks to Hotels.com special price, so: thank you!
"Overall - rates above mediocre"
Only downfall was the pillows were very hard, and the bar had very few seats - otherwise it was lovely!
"Croke Park Hotel"
We stayed at the Croke Park Hotel for 2 nights, in conjunction with the U2 concert at Croke Park. We LOVED this hotel. It was so convenient to be able to leave the concert, cross the street and be at our hotel. Also, the food at the Sideline Bistro was excellent!! The only complaint I have is that the hotel more than doubled its room prices on the nights […] of the concerts. Read more
"Great Staff Very Friendly Would Stay Again"
Well all our dealings with the staff was a joy from start to finish, to my mind this is a hotel that firmly places Customer Service at it's core. Every transaction from being served in the bar or restaurant, from check-in to check-out was carried out in a no fuss manner and always with a smile, this despite the pressure that the staff were under with […] a series of major concerts taking place in the stadium next door and the volume of people that were coming in and out of the establishment over the few days. Security was also a high priority on this weekend and it was comforting to know there was such a comprehensive presence (without it ever being intrusive). Hats off to all involved, this is a clean, modern and very well run hotel and I would have no hesitation in staying there myself again or in recommending it to a friend. P.S. Fair play to whoever came up with the idea of giving guests a bottle of water on check-out, it was a much appreciated gesture after the night before! Read more
"Pleasantly Surprised"
I had been given bad directions for this hotel from the airport and after driving around for almost an hour I finally found it. I am most happy to say the staff, the rooms, and everything about the accomodations were excellent. Great bathrooms, showers with seperate bathtubs; LCD flat screen television; very comfortable beds and clean, clean rooms. I […] receommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dublin. Read more
"great hotel outside of city centre"
This hotel was wonderful. It was clean, the rooms were large, the beds were comfy, and the bathrooms were great. Wired internet was free in the room. Room even came with cookies. Only downside is that it's outside of city centre. It's easy to take the bus to and from city centre, and the walk is quick too (if it's not raining).
"cant go wrong with Croake Park"
great service and value in a clean. modern hotel. Not right in the action but close enough to walk. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. Concierge is excellent.
"Modern hotel but far from turist destinations"
Very happy with the room, good value for the money we pay. But it is a bit far out, may need to factor in cab fare/15 min walking to transporation hub in your consideration.
"Amazing room as a respectable price"
This is a great hotel that is still within the city centre but is off the beaten track a little. Cab to town is about 8 euro. If you enjoy your comforts but not the price tag that usally goes with them then you should check out this hotel.
"Excellent hotel"
Croke Park Hotel is within walking distance of the city centre. The room was pleasant and the bathroom was excellent. The staff were very helpful and we enjoyed our stay in Dublin.
"cant wait to go back to this fab hotel"
really enjoyed our stay in this hotel staff were exceptionaly helpful had barfood in hotel bar which was really good the consierge was good gave us great advice on getting about and organising taxis etc hotel in nice area with some nice bars about 5min walk perfect location if attending any event in croke park stadium. will definately be returning hopefully […] sooner rather than later. "Exceeded All Expectations"
Friendly staff, relatively late check-out, clean, luxurious, comfortable bed, free wi-fi, fitness center. Really, really nice place. For the money, I've never had such a great experience at a hotel anywhere in the world.
"very nice hotel, not best location"
This was a very nice hotel & the staff was incredibly friendly & helpful. It is not that centrally located, but is certainly walkable to main attractions.
"Coming Back"
The hotel was fabulous but the staff were even better than that. I dont often take the time to do this, but I felt obliged to write to the Doyle Group complimenting them on the quality of service offered by their staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful. I hope my comments will be passed on to the staff. Its also the little touches that make […] the difference, like a wet towel on arrival to freshen up and complimentary bottled water to take to the match in Croke Park, also the complimentary use of the bicycles is a wonderful idea, we cycled to Farmleigh in the Phoenix Park. "Great Value for Money"
Good location being 15 minutes walk from Dublin centre. Good quality fixtures and fittings and friendly staff. Only issue for me was the broadband did not work initially (poor cable in room), and then the TV did not work - so why put someone in a room where this was a known problem. Was moved to another room to resolve problem and a free movie thrown […] in. Movies were only €5 per viewing which is really good value. Read more
"Great Hotel"
We stayed 4 nights at this hotel and found it to be excellent value for money The room was large & we had a very comfortable bed. Plenty of wardrobe space etc. The bathroom had a bath & separate shower. The room was imaculate, as were the public areas of the hotel. food in the bistro was very good. We found the hotel staff to be very helpful and […] friendly. Location was good - 10 - 15 mins walk to O'Connell St Good bus service to & from town when we didn't feel like walking On bus route from Airpot (short walk from bus stop to hotel) We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel & found no fault with it. Without exception, all the hotel staff were welcoming, friendly and made an obvious effort to make every guest feel at home. Unusual for such a big hotel. Very impressed. Would definitely recommend to others.

lovely hotel, room was great, lounge and bar area were comfortable and staff were consciously friendly. We always enjoyn the Croke Park Hotel for its friendly atmosphere and excellent service as well as its ideal location. Roome are spacious and the tea/coffee making facilities help to generate that feeling of being well looked after. The food is excellent and it is always service with a smile.
