A lot of Super 8's that we have stayed in usually have firm beds but this one actually had beds that were comfortable although pillows were flat. Room... was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel sits behind Denny's so we were able to walk to dinner which was a nice bonus after being in the car all day. We were only there one night so we didn't have time to use the pool or weight room. The only drawback we found was the complimentary breakfast was small and didn't have enough variety. For starters the hotel was not worth the money that we paid. The "heated" pool was cold and after repeatedly asking for the attendant to turn it hotter, the temperature did not raise at all. The iron was broken, the TV barely got any channels and the morning breakfast was more of toast and apple juice. I would NEVER stay here again.

The hotel was paint some of the rooms on my hallway, place stunk of paint. Rooms were dusty and an overall sense of old worn out, trying our best. The staff were wonderful, helpful and responsive.

We had a non-smoking room, but the room smelled terrible. Beds were very uncomfortable. The pool was very small and non inviting. The continential breakfast was the best part.

I was very upset when I went to dead bolt the door only to find out I was not able to lock it. It would not go into the door and the chain lock had only one screw holding it. I was quickly switched to a new room when I brought it to the attention of the desk clerk.

Room was OK, but not wonderful. Very basic...a roof over our heads is all.Except for McDonald'a and Denny's, this motel is not near any restaurants. The clerk sent us up the interstate about 7 miles and then another couple miles up another street to find some decent places to eat (about 10 minute trip or so).

All St Louis hotels were booked and this was the only place available. It is a distance from St Louis, but it was clean and staff very friendly. Would have liked a hot breakfast but Dennys and MacDonald were close by. I would definitely stay there again.

Staff at the Super 8 in Pontoon Beach was of course very friendly, and accommodating. When it comes down to getting what you pay for you do. This hotel wasn't very nice. It was OK. When we brought our four kids to go swimming in the pool (which by the way looked very nice in the picture), it was dark and cold!
