The location of the house was fantastic and the look & feel of the place was just what I was hoping for. The customer service upon check-in was disappointing. The optional additions (better room, buggy ride, meal plan, etc.) were presented in a rushed, confusing and almost bullying manor. When my girlfriend and I returned from dinner and drinks in Lancaster City, we found the lights didn't work, there was hair in the shower and the hot water didn't work. I called the after-hours number and the hot water was up and running in an hour. Someone had apparently unplugged the lights and the gentleman offered to wipe down the shower, but I just wanted some peace & quiet. The breakfast offered was mediocre at best, especially considering the great local eateries all over the area. Overall, I don't think I would stay again, but in the end, I think the good outweighed the bad. Original hardware on the doors and windows, beautiful stained glass, the most comfortable bed I've ever had in a hotel setting (very firm).. Breakfast was terrible. Consisted on strawberries and grapes that were past their prime. Bagels and donuts were stale. Was expecting something better for a breakfast from a Bed and Breakfast. Room was on 3rd floor, no help offered to get luggage to room. Toilet paper was poor quality. Room temperature was cold until after midnight.

I was amazed at the quality of this bed and breakfast, in view of the low price. The owners were extremely hospitable and the room and location were perfect. We were there for a college visit and the bed and breakfast was only 20 minutes from our destination. I had assumed that the breakfast would not be very good, but it was also incredible.

This is a very nice B&B in the heart of Amish Country, plenty of things to do around here. Midweek rates are very reasonable and it's a comfortable little hotel where you can get to know the staff (husband and wife) and the other guests.

I assume the room rate reflected why we got a third floor room with no elevator and very small room. Did I say very small room? It would have been more acceptable had we been told prior to checking in. No chance of changing rooms even though there were many available on lower floors.

THE ONLY REASON WE PICKED THIS BB WAS FOR THR SPA, AND IT WASN'T WORKING. THE GAS TANK IN THE FIRE PIT WAS EMPTY. VERY FEW CHANNELS ON THE TV AND ROAD NOISE COULD BE A PROBLEM. FOR THE MONEY, THINK YOUCOULD DO BETTER IN A CHAIN MOTEL/HOTEL.

check in was easy, Wade gave me a quick tour of the public areas, explained breakfast offering the upgrade to a full hot breakfast. the room needed a few touch-ups but nothing was broken just some paint touch-ups. over all enjoyed our stay and will stay here again.

I would recommend provided you dont want friendly genuine service. I booked using Hotels.com and paid about half what their website was offering. I felt therefore the small room at the top of the mansion was fine and fair value for what I paid. Closing breakfast at 9am Sunday morning the weekend of the clocks going forward was a little unfriendly in […] my opinion and the woman "serving" was offish about it - though we did get breakfast and a fairly good one by paying a $5 upgrade for it - about 15 minutes past 9. They need to put some hooks in the bathroom to hang bed clothes etc, when taking a shower. There was also room for a small bench which would have been nice. The only negative thing was only serving breakfast from 8:00 to 8:30.

The manor is very nice. The grounds in the summer are beautiful. The breakfast served as part of the package was also excellent. The owners of the Inn are very gracious and friendly. They even allow you to meet their children, making a true family experience.

The breakfast was simple but filling with nice, fresh-baked Amish type goodies (with an optional upgrade to a hot breakfast for a reasonable price). This is the 2nd time we stayed here. The grounds are amazing! Since we used Expedia, the room we had to take is in the Carriage House and is small; a double bed in a small room and a bathroom. It is all we needed for a 1 night stay. Also since we booked through Expedia (much cheaper rate), we had to pay $3.00 each for a hot breakfast. We would not have […] needed the hot breakfast as they have lots of food to eat. Wonderful fresh fruit, muffins, I can't really list it all, but it was good! They have a lovely pool and hot tub which we didn't get to use. We did find a little beetle in our bed, but it was a harmless little one and we didn't see any more of them. If we were to stay longer than 1 to 2 nights, I would want a room that was bigger. The only problem I had was there was no light near the chair in the room so that I could read. The Greystone Manor is a nice place to stay. It was built around 1885 and is well maintained. Easy to find. Right onThe Old Philadelphia Pike. Very Close to Bird-In-Hand adn only a fewe miles down the road from Intercourse, a town that has most of the shops in the area. We were happy to be given a room in the main house. There was a continental breakfast but for a little more you could have a nice hot breakfast. the inn keepers were very nice and knowledgable about the area. For $30 more you could get coupons that were good for a buggy ride for two, $25 off a dinner and other things that made it well worth the purchase. My wife and I were going to stay one night and then leave for home, but decded to stay another night, if there was a room available. The Inn keepers were gracious enought to let us stay another night, in the same room, for the same price we had paid previously. We thought that was very accomodating. We would recommend staying at the Grey Manor Inn bed and breakfast if it is in your price range. We found the prcie to be better than most hotels in the area. It's convient and charming. Read more

The room - we had room 10 - was fine. Somehow I missed that it would have two double beds when I made the reservation but no big deal. Lighting was not the best and all the electrical sockets seemed to be pretty worn because plugs did not want to stay in the wall very well. We checked in after nornal hours and left before checkout time the next day so didn't really get to see much else of the property. The grounds seemed nice enough with pathways and small man-made ponds with fish and fountains. The owners were friendly enough. The breakfast was continental style with upgrades to hot choices for an additonal fee in the morning. The room price was right so continental was good enough. Lovely B&B, quiet. Went in March, so flowers not yet in bloom-- would be worth a trip back to see the garden! Relaxed atmosphere, with Amish farms nearby. One caution--- if you have trouble with stairs, make sure you ask for a room on a lower level.

My husband and I had a fabulous time! It was our first bed and breakfast and we will definitely visit Greystone in the future. The room was cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The experience of the Lancaster area was great---Amish dining, sightseeing, horseback riding, shopping, etc.
