Our room was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, the restaurant was great, and breakfast was standard but good. However, the walls were a bit... thin and we could hear the guests in the room next door clearly. The unfinished ceiling in the room seemed a bit too rustic for the decor as well, but I guess that's a matter of taste. Overall I would recommend Afton House for a nice weekend getaway. Our stay was lovely, and we would definitely go back! We reserved our room for Valentine's Day evening, for an evening of relaxation and romance. Their dining room was wonderful, and we opted for the 4-course meal - superb! Our room was a well-appointed king suite, with jacuzzi in-room. Breakfast was served in their daytime dining room, which was bright […] and airy - a great wake-up for the day. The staff were lovely and helpful, and while the hotel was renovating their bar-restaurant area, the construction mess was well-contained and relatively quiet.
