We had a room booked in Granada, about 50 miles away but were so unhappy with the hotel when we got there that we left even though we paid for it. Decided to drive towards the sea for the night instead and used the hotels.com app on my phone for the first time. Found this hotel and read the reviews and decided to take a chance. Reserved and paid for […] the room and got there less than an hour later. Sven was at the desk and seemed like he was expecting us. We got a great room on an end overlooking the beach. Just beautiful. Wish we could've stayed more nights. Bed was comfortable and loved having the balcony, kitchen and especially the family room with a couch. Missed not having CNN but did have some decent English speaking channels. Some reviews said it was loud from familiesand said there were too many old people. We found a good mix. The breakfast buffet was the best we had in 15 days in Spain and Portugal. Huge, clean and big variety. I would stay there again anytime in the area. Read more

If your looking for a quiet, relaxing place to get away this is perfect. Located right on the beach, this hotel is perfect for relaxation. The hotel was beautiful and staff was very friendly. The short ride to town allows you to get the best of the beach and town in one trip. I definitelty recommend staying here.

The resort was very nice, clean, and comfortable, and the very pretty beach is literally right there. However, for the price we paid, it didn't have enough to offer. The hours of the restaurant seemed sporadic, the Spa was an extra cost, there was no Wi-Fi in the rooms, etc. It was extremely pricey and not very luxurious. Don't expect great amenities […] if you come to this hotel and beware of the "all inclusive" promise not including a lot...nonetheless, if you don't mind the expense, it's a great piece of property situated not far from a cozy beach town. We just stayed for one night in late May. We spent the day on the beach, and then went into Nerja for dinner, then came back for drinks at the bar. All in all, a wonderful day, the hotel was spacious, clean and very accomodating. Would we come back? A resounding yes!!

The resort and its facilities were excellent for families but if you're an over-fifty couple looking for a peaceful vacation, this isn't the place for you. There wasn't an adult-only retreat in the evening. Children were running and screaming through the bar and there was a "Mini Disco" just for them every night at 8:00pm in what should have been an […] adult environment. This hotel is fine if you know what you're getting. It's right on the beach, which is great (although it's a rock, not a sand beach). The clientele are mostly older, foreign tourists and a few families, so it's a quiet place. A couple BIG complaints, though. First, although hotels.com specifically says all rooms are air conditioned, the hotel does […] not activate their air conditioning system until June. This was a bit of a problem for me, as I was six months pregnant when staying there at the end of May. It was pretty unbearable in our room, and the folks at the front desk weren't too helpful when we complained. We had to insist that they give us a fan. So we ended up leaving a day early. Hotels.com gave us a refund because of the air conditioning issue. Second, the food is AWFUL. It's an all-inclusive type of place and you really need a car to get to Nerja. The restaurant is a buffet for all three meals, and I found the food inedible. Lots of nasty-looking hamburgers and wilted vegetables. When my husband and I are in Spain, we're pretty easy to please. A little, simple Spanish food and we're happy. You won't get that at this hotel, and it's actually hard to even find in Nerja (at least at the places we went). We ended up driving to Almunecar one night to find good food. I wouldn't stay there again. Read more

Caters to older British and German tourists and some families with young children. Pool area large with separate children's pool. Room was adequate but could use updating. We used hotel as 2 night stopover on our drive to Granada. Buffet meals were good. Outrageous 31 euro charge special offer for daily use of health spa facility for 2. The good - the room was a massive apartment with all appliances, sofa, balcony and a view of the pool and beach. The breakfast which was included was amazing, and parking was free. The bad - we asked for a quiet room, was put 2 doors down from reception, wifi was slow, paper-thin walls, an old person band belting out tunes till 11pm on a Wednesday??! […] Night. People in the next room having a loud conversation til 1am - even after calling reception to ask them to quieten down, they started abusing us through the walls!!!!! Never Ever Again! Room are spacious and clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with plenty of Choice, easy access to beach and pool. We had a great time and perfect for a big family break. Would definitely go back, Free wifi around lobby and pool , even better if it was in bedrooms as well.

Only here for five nights, but very enjoyable. Hotel very clean, & all staff excellent. Fantastic choice in the buffet style restaurant, & can go as many times as you like. You can even take food to your room, which is equipped with a fridge, microwave, two ring hob, & all utensilst / crockery. Hotel not sound-proofed, & unfortunatly pool not heated. […] Nice little shop in hotel sellinng newspapers, groceries, & souveniers. Veldig fornøyd med oppholdet, men synes det var litt tungvint å reise inn til nærmeste by hver gang vi skulle på restaurant. Bør velge all inclusive her, men vi liker å variere, så vi valgte taxi inn til Nerja de fleste kveldene. Ellers bra hotell med god mat og hyggelig betjening, hyggelig underholdning på kveldene.

Schönes Hotel mit direkten Zugang zum Strand. Das Wetter war im April nicht entsprechend, daher haben wir keine Badmöglichkeit im Pool oder im Meer nutzen können. Ondanks dat wij een stilgelegen kamer hadden aangevraagd kregen wij een kamer direct naast een paviljoen (van het hotel !) waar het gehele weekend bruiloften en andere feesten werden gehouden en waar tot na 2.00 hr s nachts keiharde muziek kwam. Hotellet er super. Vi fik et rigtig dejligt værelse til 2 personer med masser af plads. Dog var vores udsigt ikke noget at skrive hjem om. Vi boede på 1. sal med udsigt til hotellets oversvømmede parkeringsplads mod nord. Men vi kunne dog se stranden og havet.. Det er et jeligheds-hotel, og man forventes selv at vaske sit service op, hvis man bruger […] det. men der var ikke noget opvaskegrej af nogen art - det fandt vi en smule mærkeligt. Hotellet ligger helt ned til strandkanten. Vi var der i april - og havvandet var for koldt til at bade i - synes vi. Poolen var ikke opvarmet - men så indbydende ud til en varm sommerdag. Hotellet ligger ca 2 km fra Nerja, som er en meget hyggelig mindre bý - absolut et besøg værd. Man kan sagtens gå derind på en halv times tid. Hvis man har bestilt billetter til Alhambra hjemmefra (kan anbefales) - så er der "Caixa" automater i Nerja - ganske tæt på "Balkon Europa". Maden på hotellet er buffet med et udmærket udvalg. Det eneste minus var juice-automaten. Juicen smagte som gammeldags "orangeade" - dvs. forfærdeligt. Men alt-i-alt et ganske dejligt hotel. Hvis vi skal på de kanter igen, vil vi helt sikkert overveje at bo på det hotel igen. Read more
