My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at the Pequot Hotel. Not only were we upgraded to the King Suite, but the hotel staff was so friendly and accomodating. They provided nice beach chairs and towels for us to get in some time on the beach. There were washrooms for us to shower and get ready even after our checkout time. It was a very central location […] to bike paths, beach, and "downtown" Oak Bluffs. I would highly recommend it! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Our room was nicely furnished and neatly kept. Two things needed to be improved. One,the lighting in the room was very dim. Second, would have preferred HiFi Internet connection INSIDE our room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our stay was fantastic. I would stay there again. When I made the reservation I had no idea where the hotel was located. It was just smack dab in the middle of all the action. To the right down the street was the main drag of town, to the left down the street was the ocean. The place just made you feel warm and COZY! I recommend it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Wonderful experience that can never be replace!"
My wife and I enjoyed the accommodations and would really recommend a Refrigerator next time in our rooms to keep drinks cool, especially for health reasons. I can never replace the experience of the Staff and residence in the facility. All were friendly and hospitable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel rooms were recently modernized and very clean. Unfortunately our room was quite small with an extremely loud air conditioner and marginally comfortable bed. No phones in room. We won't be booking any return trips here. Consider looking elsewhere!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"wonderful folks, sterling continental breakfast"

"great stay in Martha’s Vineyard"
The facilities were clean and well kept. I was delighted to be offered a room upgrade upon my arrival. Morning breakfast was a plus. Chocolate chip cookies were available in the aftenoon with ice tea as well. I would recommend other travelers to the area to stay at this hotel. Its location to the center of town was excellent.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the rooms were very small but the service was wonderful. they will give u chairs, towels and umbrellas for the beach. will even give towels and showers even after you check out. it had a very homey atmosphere and the other guests are very friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very accommodating. Allowed for early check in. Only allowed for luggage to be left in the lobby, which made me a little nervous. Otherwise, great experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The Pequot - Oak Bluffs, Martha's Vineyard"
Oak Bluffs is a fantastic area -- in and of itself - as well as its quick bus trips to Vineyard Haven or Edgartown. This gorgeous b& b provides a fantastic location, wonderful service, and the quintesential atmosphere expected on Martha's Vineyard.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
When I travel it is all about a clean hotel and location, location, location. This hotel was old but clean, comfy beds, and the front desk very helpful with menus for local restaurants. It was a few blocks from the ferry, 2 blocks from ocean and 2 blocks from the main street in Oak Bluffs, The hotel was surrounded with many colorful, charming houses […] in a quaint neighborhood. The front porch is a great place to meet other guest, or read a book in on of the many rocking chairs. We'll be going back next year. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great time at the Pequot Hotel"
I went with my family for a 1 night stay at the Pequot and were pleasantly surprised. The staff are extremely cordial and the morning breakfast was over the top. My hat off to the Chef. (The Quiche's were amazing!) I'd highly recommend the hotel if you are not the 5* all inclusive type of person.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Clean comfortable hotel with relaxing surroundings. Very clean with an amazing selection of food for breakfast. Lisa and her team are both friendly & helpful. If you are looking for a homely place to stay this is for you. EnjoyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Loved loved Martha's Vineyard! Rooms at the Pequot Hotel weren't what we were used to (not as modern as what you would get in the cities), but you have to take into consideration where you are. The main thing is it was clean. Breakfast was nice and staff helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Brilliant friendly helpful staff beautiful setting enjoyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful place for first-time island visitors."
09/11/14 Stephen G Cleveland, Ohio
My wife and I decided to visit Martha's Vineyard for our 30th wedding anniversary, and I selected The Pequot based on the many favorable reviews on Trip Advisor. I was also impressed with the personalized responses from the General Manager to many of the reviews and always to the negative ones. This attention to detail was an indication of the A+ service we received throughout our stay. Each member of the staff we met and spoke with could not have been more helpful and informative. I recommend reading the responses to the reviews because they are not boilerplate like you see in many other cases on Trip Advisor and provide a lot of information. For example, it is recommended that you call the hotel directly for reservations to discuss your visit so that the best available room could be recommended, highlighting the features and potential drawbacks to the many different room types. In our case, after I explained the special occasion for our visit, it was suggested that we book a room with a king-size bed (No. 4) that is not even offered on-line. I did so, and we were not disappointed. Based on conversations with other guests during our stay, I discovered that ours was larger than most with enough space to move around in. Yes, the bathrooms are small, but I imagine the same is true with most comparable places on Martha's Vineyard. The highlight of The Pequot is the hospitality of the entire staff which nutures a warm and friendly environment among the guests. I cannot recall another hotel where we interacted with as many guests as we did at The Pequot. I guess there is something about enjoying a glass of terrific lemonade and biting into delicious freshly baked chocolate chip cookies while rocking away on a large porch at the end of the afternoon that leads to friendly conversation. The continental breakfast offers a lot of options and features muffins, scones and quiche prepared on-site. One warning, be on the lookout for the skunk we saw in the garden each of our nights at The Pequot. However, he, too, must be a satisfied guest as he was only seen and not smelt. Finally, in the interest of full disclosure, I must add that, upon entering our room for the first time, we were surprised to find a complimentary bottle of wine in honor of our anniversary. Just another indication of the exceptional level of service you can expect from the start as a guest of The Pequot.
"Very, very nice. Quiet, comfortable and near perfect"

We are here for 5 nights and found Perquot to be perfect for a quiet vacation stay. The room is comfortable, the grounds very colorful and nice. The service and continental breakfast has been outstanding. Pequot has been a very restful place.......sort of like an old pair of slippers......not pretentious or ostentatious........just comfortable and very nice.
"Great location, close to town, beach and the tabernacle"

Rooms are ample enough in size, bathrooms too, furniture is room I.e bedside tables and chest of drawers showing signs of a dated makeover, bed linens are a fresh design. Breakfast is an ample self serve continental buffet. Appreciated the "English" touch, with self serve tea station, with individual colour teapots and bone china cups and saucers, as opposed to cardboard cups. Friday night porch party, with wine and cheese was very enjoyable, and a great chance to chat with other guests. We stayed in an annex room, accessed by external stairs on the second floor. Some noise between rooms, but consistent with layout of hotel. Reception staff very friendly and helpful at all times. Lemonade and choc chip cookies in the lounge each afternoon a nice touch.
"Great food, clean environment, courteous service"

Great find and good location close enough to Circuit Avenue without the noise. Some rooms are located up stairwells and I would only recommend those rooms for travelers that are in good physical health. Afternoon lemonade and fresh baked cookies a nice touch and the morning buffet really makes this place such a good value. Also, a very clean pool.

Great location, just a few blocks from the heart of things in Oak Bluffs but far enough away from all the noise. Beautiful patio and gardens! Good size room for MV. The staff at the hotel was super-friendly! Will definitely stay here again. Am giving very good not excellent because of the thin walls. My neighbor snored all night long an kept me and my husband awake all night long.

My room is AWFUL! No closet, or safe or fridge. No elevator: we are on a third floor with pretty high stair case. Unloading the car was a challenge. There bugs, flies, and all kind of spots in that room. The air conditioner is very loud, old and room is stale and smelly. If it can be worse, not much though. Can not wait to get out of this place: where all those good reviews come from is a mystery. I will not trust TA reviews after this accident.
"Excellent Weekend Stay"
09/02/14 Joanne S Hamilton
We were visiting our son who is working on the island for the summer and the Pequot just happened to be on the same street where he was living! What a beautiful, quaint hotel! My husband and I both thought it was the best. Granted , our room was small but very adequate for our needs. Yes, the price was high, but it was August and we were forewarned. Based on the amount of traffic in and around town, Oak Bluffs is the place to be in August. The breakfast was very good, with several choices. There was always a place to sit, inside or out and the service was very good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They even had beach chairs for us to use, very accommodating. We hope to go back in September!!
"The Pequot Hotel is A-mazing!"

It was our first time on Martha's Vineyard and how lucky we were to stay at The Pequot Hotel. The staff was so friendly welcoming. And the attention to detail was unforgettable, down to the landscaper and his meticulous care of the patio, gardens, and flower boxes! Breakfast was way more than I expected, too. The rooms were on the small side, though you should be outside enjoying the swing or rocking chairs on the front porch anyway! I like that it was off of the beaten path, but still so close to the main street with all the restaurants two blocks down on one side and the beach two blocks down on the other side. It was really a spectacular visit...
"A great home away from home"

We came to Martha's Vineyard for the first time and stayed at the Pequot Hotel. We were both very pleased with it's quiet location yet still close to the towns activities. The room was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast in the morning was satisfying. I really couldn't ask for much more.
"Another Great Stay at the Pequot"
Another great stay at the Pequot! This is my 4th visit to the Pequot, my first time for a whole week. Usually I come for a "Girls weekend" during Columbus Day with 3 other girlfriends. Great Continental Breakfast with new additions of several types of Quiches yum. Chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon, with lemonade or ice tea really make it after an "exhausting" day at the beach! Central location all the shops, "campground", fireworks and illumination. Staff very welcoming and actually remember our names. Can't wait till Columbus Day!
