We went as a group of 8 girls who wanted sunshine and relaxation. We went out of season and the surrounding areas were really empty - however we still had a great time and the hotel was pretty busy considering Banus itself which seemed to be struggling. Beautiful hotel, pictures really do give it justice, each room having a lovely balcony overlooking the pool or beach. Lovely pool and right on the beach, great service on the front desk, including offering upgrade prices. They even showed us a better room to see if we were interested in upgrading. BUT - 2 big issues about this hotel. 1: the beds are […] not 5* beds. I had a twin room for 2 of us sharing but the same beds were used for doubles, just pushed together. The mattress was better suited to a 3 star hotel, rather uncomfortable and most days I woke up with hip ache it was so uncomfortable. The Westin chain could teach them a lot on this front. The lovely chez longe on the balcony put the bed to shame! 2: the location. Don't trust google maps - the road in front of the hotel is actually a beach path! This hotel is further up the coast from Puerto Banus - it is a nice if long walk up the beach front from the town centre, if you are driving (cheaper than a taxi from Malaga airport), plan your route carefully, you can not drive between the hotel and Puerto Banus unless you go on the main dual carriageway, which is rather busy. There are cabs in front of the hotel - €14 from hotel to Puerto Banus is rather pricey too. Hint - if you are hiring a car, the hotel car park is €15 a night, but you can park on the surrounding streets for free, I went out of season and it was easy to park, I imagine in high season it would be harder! "A wonderful break"
The hotel is listed as 5 star and whilst some of the decor and furnishings could do with some updating, we could not fault the friendliness or service of the staff. We had a double deluxe over looking the pool and sea and although a little small it was clean and had a nice size balcony. I took my other half here for a birthday treat. The hotel was fab and we were upgraded for free on arrival to a suite which overlooked the beach which was amazing. Breakfast was included in the price and this was really nice. Everything you could think of. We didn't have dinner at the hotel but breakfast really was nice. It is 20 minutes walk to the […] marina along the beach or you can walk along the new path instead of the sand. The marina was outstanding. If flash cars and boats are your thing then this is the place. Drinks can be pricey but as expected here. You can get a 3 course meal for 15-20 euro's as long as you don't want anything too fancy. "Great Hotel Puerto Banus"
I arrived at the Guadalpin Banus with my family on July 12th. Shuttle from the hotel came to pick us up at the airport. Very comfortable and there to greet you. Not too expensive either from Malaga to Puerto Banus. When we arrived we had to wait a little for our rooms but we had a bit of time to walk around and go eat. Got our rooms, love the rooms, […] especially the balcony area. Its like your own little private porch. Rooms are very clean, bathrooms are nice as well. Staff at reception is very friendly and helpful anytime. Staff at the beach is very nice as well. Breakfast is great for having it included in the package, You can get buffet for 20 Euros at night but i personnally rather go out and pay approx same price in Marbella to eat better. Night buffet doesnt have many choices and not too many people are there. Maybe a la carte is better. Beach is nice and I like the fact that it's right next to Mistral beach Club so the beach is never empty and you really feel the Spanish vibe. I've been to Spain many times and I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel is really close to Puerto Banus. You can walk there during the day by the beach or take a taxi which only costs about 6-8 euros. I would def stay here again when I come back to Marbella. However I heard they might build a boardwalk Iwhere the hotel is so I'm not sure how long the hotel will be around or if it will stay and that would be too bad if it doesnt. "Will never return to, or recommend this hotel"
This is not like any 5 star hotel I've ever stayed in. Nothing about the hotel is 5 star! It is rundown and looks like nothing has been updated or refurbished since it was built. We complained as soon as we entered the superior sea view room but had to stay in it till next day as nothing else was available. The next day we moved to a room that was worse […] than the 1st room so we complained again. They said we could leave if we liked but as we had paid in full to EXPEDIA we would have to try to get our money back from them!! We said we don't want any fuss we only want a decent room for the 4 remaining days of our 5 day holiday. They eventually said they would upgrade us for free to a junior suite overlooking the pool area which we accepted after viewing it first. Although it was more spacious as it had a seperate lounge area and mini kitchen and more furniture on the terrace, it wasn't much better in decor or wear and tear! We (my sister and I) booked this hotel for 5 days hoping to be able to pamper ourselves. There is no Hairdresser's or Beautician's anymore at the hotel and we looked in the window of the place where it used to be and it looks awfully dirty and messy, witha few half filled wine glasses and food plates on the counter with other clutter, upside down cardboard display pictures and debrie lying around the dirty floor. Walking distance from Puerto Banus "centrum." To Marbella you need to take a taxi. Really nice balcony in room and pool area. Staff wasn't what i expect from fifth star hotel. "Lite tilfreds"
Hotellet lå litt ensomt til. Det var ingen ting der, bare tomme leiligheter rundt omkring. Hotellet var gammelt, men for så vidt ok. Busser kunne ikke komme til hotellet. Vi måtte gå i 20 min. for å møte sightseeing buss. Det var ingen ting å få kjøpt innen 25 min. gange fra hotellet, der var det en bensinstasjon. Det var ingen salonger bare to lenestoler […] og en sofa i resepsjonen. Det var en liten bar hvor man straks ble overrumplet av en kelner for drink. Hotellets frokost var meget bra. Men alle folkene som var der for å spise, så vi aldri resten av dagen. Få mennesker spiste på hotellet. Det var heller ikke billig. Men det hadde god service. Stranden var like ved med gratis liggestoler og håndkle. Men alt for mange strandselgere. Hotellet ligger langt fra Flyplass, Malaga. Drosje og dårlig bussforhold ca. 1 1/2 time fra time fra flyplassen. Det var ingen aktivitet eller underholdning på hotellet eller i nærheten. Vi måtte ta drosje til alt. Hotellet är generellt bra men försvarar inte alls sina 5*. Det är mycket lyhört och ligger en bit ifrån restauranger osv. Hotellet har ikke økonomi til drift og vedlikehold noe som gjennspeiler seg i alt som skjer på hotellet. Maur var et stort problem, de var overalt men hold seg borte fra sengen. "Andalusien an sich sehr empfehlenswert"
Wir waren zu Zweit eine Woche und hatten ein Standard-Zimmer mit Frühstück. Das Frühstück war wirklich sehr gut, das Buffett immer reichlich und mit allem was das Herz begehrt bestückt. Was wir nicht so angenehm fanden, war, dass peinlichst darauf geachtet wurde, dass keine Picknickpakete (z. B. für Ausflüge) mitgenommen wurden. Von anderen Urlaubern […] wurde uns erzählt, dass sie ermahnt worden, als sie "nur" Obst mitnehmen wollten. Das Hotel an sich ist wirklich sehr schön gelegen, man frühstückt nur von einem Laufweg (Holzsteg) getrennt unter Palmen und Sonnenschirmen vom Strand getrennt. Insgesamt jedoch fanden wir persönlich, dass das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis oftmals nicht stimmte. Unser Zimmer z. B. war relativ klein, gut, darin hält man sich ja nicht weiter auf. Aber Mobiliar war teilweise beschädigt (Kratzer an den Möbeln, Griffe der Schranktür hatte man regelmäßig in der Hand) UND es gab keine getrennte Dusche, nur eine Wanne mit Duschabtrennwand. Teilweise Nässeschäden an den Decken auf den Gängen. Einen Abend haben wir im Hotel Abendbrot gegessen, satt geworden ist man davon nicht, man konnte den Fisch auf dem Teller suchen,das für 1 Person und Geld, wo man in Deutschland mitunter für 2 Personen reichlich + gut essen kann - Cocktails ab 10,00 EUR. Fazit: Für normal arbeitende Bevölkerung ein teures Pflaster. Das Personal ist nett und insgesamt haben wir uns wohl gefühlt, jedoch haben wir von 5 Sternen und den Preis, den wir gezahlt haben, mehr erwartet. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Bien ubicado pero bastante complicado para encontrarlo. El check-in a las 16h00 no olvidarlo porque antes no podrá entrar ! Un très bel emplacement je connais parfaitement les environs et c idéal pour faire BCE de choses à pied. En revanche l'hôtel à besoin de travaux il ne mérite pas ses 5 étoiles. Nous avons changé de chambre car la première, la suite junior était vieille et surtout sale, la baignoire colmatée les plafonds écailles les couverts et frigo sales. Åkte i feb 2012. Fräckt hotell i direkt närhet till Mistral beach, som är fin Fantastisk frukostbuffe och god mat. Trevlig personal. Dessvärre har man inte skött underhållet 100% vilket beror på att hotellet haft ekonomiska problem. Detta faktum verkar dock avspegla sig i priset, som var förmånligt. Es la segunda vez que nos alojamos en este hotel y espero repetir. Destascable el tamaño de las terrazas y la localización en primera línea de una pequeña playa. Como las terrazas son muy espaciosas se disfrutan mucho en verano y dejan las habitaciones a la sombra con lo cual son más frescas. En invierno quizá se queden un poco oscuras por lo que son […] mas recomendable las suites Banus con grandes ventanales, muy luminosas y con unas vistas estupendas. Puerto Banus está a unos 15-20 min caminando por un agradable paseo al lado del mar. En taxi son 8 € aprox. Mejorable la variedad de los buffets. En recepción muy amables y correctos. El servicio en genreal bueno a excepción de una cocinera mayor que da gritos en el desayuno intentando echar con sus comentarios a los comensales más rezagados. Su educación es más propia de una tasca que de un hotel de 5 estrellas. Lo normal es que el maitre o los camareros informen a los clientes de que el buffet se va a cerrar 10 min. antes del cierre, no que la cocinera de gritos incómodos. "Prijs kwaliteit verhouding goed, geen 5 sterren, dat niet!"
Het hotel ziet er goed uit, ook de fitnessruimte was goed en de apparaten in goede conditie. De ligging is niet zo gezellig, wel mooi strand maar in de buurt weinig te doen. De bedden en het kussen zijn niet goed en ook de douche is niet warm te krijgen (is in november toch wel belangrijk!)
