The hotel is a little off the beaten path but it had everthing we needed. my kids loved it because it had free Wi-Fi and cable tv. While we were in Alaska we stayed in 3 different hotels and enjoyed this one the most.

Our room was one of the updated rooms. Talking with others in different rooms ours was better than average for this location. No real lobby, just an office. The location is a little out of the way but cleaner and newer than places I have stayed nearby. For the price, okay for the night.

Candace was very helpfull and professional. There was an overbooking situation which was pleasantly resolved in ten minutes and she gave me an iron for my room. This is important because, I booked the room on-line the night before for 3 nights. The trip was for my grandfathers funeral-the iron was for the dress pants. Candace never knew this, becasue I never had to mention it to get the assistance I needed. I've stayed in hotel rooms next to the autobahn and major us cities streets...road noise was covered by the AC.

This is a very inexpensive option. If we had been staying longer the full kitchen would have been very handy. No place to sit except for the lone barstool, bed or loveseat/sleeper. The room was clean, but had a feeling of needing a deep cleaning -- carpet shampooed (it was stained), curtains washed and that sort of thing. The sofa sleeper didn't want to pull out. We got it open after fiddling with the frame a bit. There was no bedding in the room for it and we had to ask for bedding from the disinterested teen manning the office. He supplied sheets and a bedspread, but no blanket or pillow. The room was very warm in the evening and the AC was helpful, but blocked by the curtains. The curtains had to stay shut due to being on the ground floor where anyone could see into the room.

This is not a pet friendly hotel dispite hotels.com saying that it is. Thankfully, the customer service member called the manager and made an exception because of the late hour. We do have a small breed dog which helped as well. They were very nice and flexable dispite the website error. The rooms was small but has a kitchen with stove and fridge. The location is off the beaten path a bit but is in a nice neighborhood. I would stay here again if I was not traveling with a pet.

If you are getting away on a budget this is the place to go. We go there once a year during the gun show rather than drive back to Anchorage Saturday evening and then have to return Sunday morning. They have a kitchenette so you can cook your meals and keep your foods cold. The rooms are in good condition and the beds are comfy. Parts of the hotel are in need of repair though. We would certainly recommend it to others.

This small hotel is really off the main path, although not hard to find. It is in a very quiet residential location. Rooms are big and have a full kitchen. This is not a typical hotel with hotel staff...it has one staff on during the day and evening shift. The key to my room stuck in the lock badly and I was unable to open the door without assistance. And the hotel staff had difficulty with it too.
