First off, let me say that the staff are so friendly and accommodating. My only complaints are that the beds are too small and very stiff. I had to use many blankets to create softness. The other complaint is when we arrived, we were in a room (10) that faced the courtyard to Amalfi's center. It was way to noisy to sleep. However, I asked to be moved […] and they did it gladly and with a smile. Thank you!!! My new room (118) was on the second floor and had a gorgeous view of the sea. We enjoyed the Hotel Fontana. It's not fancy, but very comfortable, with a helpful staff, good breakfast, and couldn't have been more conveniently located for bus or boat travel. Right on the main square, across from the Cathedral. We'd stay there again!

Amalfi is awesome, and Luana and her family have the closest hotel to the town, bus, water and all and the shops. yes it is older, but it is perfect. who want to walk steps or miles or wait for a cab or bus when you can just walk into the piazza! we have stayed 3 times and it is just fine.

Hotel Fontana was a great place for my husband and I while staying in Amalfi. The room was clean and the staff were nice. I especially like the location and the view from our balcony. We had an easy time catching buses up and down the coast. I recommend this hotel to travelers that are simple, and like moderate accommodations.

The location was perfect if you want to be in the center. It's right in the center of Amalfi and right in front of the bus stop. The rooms were a bit plain. Just beds and white walls. They didn't have a super comfortable feel but did have a nice balcony.

Generally, I would say that the hotels in Amalfi is quite expensive if you consider what you get for the money. This goes for this hotel as well. I would suggest staying at hotels in one of the towns nearby since Amalfi is way to over crowded! There is nothing but tourists in the town and not much to do. We have stayed in Amalfi before and this hotel is not up the standard of other hotels in the resort. Pros: Location - you couldn't get more central. Cons: Needs updating. The square is noisy, I had ear plugs and still could hear the late night revellers.

Staff is very nice and the hotel is right in the centre. My room had a sea view but was extremely extremely small. (I could not go in with my backpack on the back!) We stayed 6 nights, the location on the cathedral square was great..once you were used to the idea that the hotel has no ground floor and access is via a flight of steps next to a cafe.(there is a lift from one of the cafes underneath the hotel for moving bags). Amalfi is very scenic. We were given a family room for the two of us with a balcony overlooking […] a side street and part of the square which was spacious, clean etc.. Drawback was unispired breakfast... where you did feel the staff were trying to minimise work for themselves. Plastic cups for juice the first few days, yoghurts not being replenished if you were later down. Typical italian rolls/meat/cheese and sweet coissant/cake - but after a few days I would have loved fruit, or a boiled egg or cereal (no milk). The valet parking cost 18 Euros a day in May 2010 but it worked well and we rarely had to wait for more than a few minutes . Warning - the coast road is very busy with hairpin bends, coaches coming the other direction and all the local cars have dents! But we did manage to visit Pompeii, Paestum etc. by car - amazing - as well as local places by boat,bus. Read more

Molto gentili. La camera era pulita ma un pò "vintage", con mobili vecchi e non sempre confortevoli (per esempio il letto). All'interno ben fornito di […] ascensore, ma la reception è al primo piano e si accede dall'esterno da una bella rampa di scala. Un aspetto molto positivo è la posizione, proprio in centro ad Amalfi. Bra läge vid Amalfis pulserande piazza. Är man ljudkänslig kan man störas av kyrkans klockslag. Frukosten består till allra största delen av sötsaker, vilket är trevligt i en eller ett par dagar men inte mer. Trevlig personal på hotellet. Dock behöver det fräschas upp en del på rummen.

ロケーションはすごくいいですが、周辺が夜遅くまでにぎやかなので静かに過ごしたい人には不向きです。また、部屋はこじんまりして清潔感はありますが、古く、特にシャワーはせまく、固定式で使用しづらかったです。Amlfiのホテルはどこも高いので、ロケーション等を考えると値段は妥当な気がしますが、一般的に考えると高い印象です。
