Love laying in bed listening to the creek. It's a short walk to the main attractions of downtown Gatlinburg, but worth it not to hear the traffic as much at night. The only thing I didn't like was that the continental breakfast is in a separate hotel, plus when we went to check out there was no employee in the lobby. Relaxing over the water balcony. Weather was just right to let the window open and listen to the river below and the cool air over the water made the AC unnecessary. Great place to stay. The overall experience was great. we had a room with a jacuzzi tub and fireplace, but no fire wood to use. The view was great and very relaxing although the parking was somewhat difficult. There are several things within walking distance and a trolley stop right out front. Big advantages for staying here again.

My stay @ Rocky Waters was good...with a few exceptions. First of all the room was the perfect size for me and my wife. The view of the river was amazing and even the noise level at night was very good. Now for the not so good... the free breakfast was not at the hotel itself but a short drive to another hotel. The biggest problem was the parking...there […] is supposed to be an assigned parking spot for each room...we never got to park in ours and with the weather being rainy and cold, we had to park in another (uncovered) spot and run through the rain. Hotel was just off the strip, and next to a trolley stop. It's an older hotel, so normal wear and tear made it feel a bit cheesy, but it wasn't unclean. Staff was polite although uninterested. Included continental breakfast is at the hotel next door since they're owned by the same company.

I really liked rocky waters,,walking distance to Gatlinburg and you could ride trolley instead if you wanted too,room was very clean,needed more towels was no problem getting,didn't have a chance to try the continental breakfast because my boys slept past 10 o'clock,,,really enjoyed the balcony over the creek ,we should of brought our fishing poles […] next time we will...but will stay here again..... We drove right past the hotel because building signs say "rocky waters motor inn" and parking is right off major congested area. Parking for our rooms required us to drive out of parking lot and repark. Breakfast is included but we had to walk to a different hotel to eat. Walking distance to everything on the strip. Very relaxing, great location, great view of the river. Room was big with lots of room to walk around. We didn't get to use the fireplace but there was plenty of wood available, we just ran out of time.

This was one of the best getaways ive had. The motel was clean and the jacuzzi was awesome! It was in a great location next to the river and the man that checked us in told us about a great resturant..calhouns! They were upfront about the breakfast being across the river at the days inn but with all the great pancake houses we werent worried about it... […] The bed was comfortable...I slept like a baby..the only bad thing is we couldnt figure out how to drain the jacuzzi..and we had to go get more fire starters..twice but were amatures. A bit more than walking distance to the main 'drag'. Room was not cleaned the first day and we had to ask for clean towels when we got back that night. Friendly desk staff and I'd stay there again to save a buck. Closer to main 'drag' would be better since we had to pay $10 to park each time we wanted to eat or visit the attractions.

Had a room with a fireplace and jacuzzi. Hotel a little dated, but very comfortable. Well worth the money we paid for it. Too cold to stay on the balcony for too long, but would be great for warmer weather. Loved the sound of the river running, and there is a small window above the heater/ac that you can open. If you have a fireplace, they will give […] you a small starter log upon check-in and anytime you go ask for another. Plenty of firewood on the balcony. Room phone had too much static to be able to call the office, so put the hotel number in your cell phone. Another travel tip, take a pic of the tag on the car you will be in, in daylight is best, then upon check-in, you don't have to run out to the car to write down the tag #. Be sure to ask for wi-fi password. Only complaint was that the tub is very slippery. Might want to lay a towel in the bottom, or run to a dollar store and get a tub mat. Overall great experience. Enjoyed our stay - the fireplace and jacuzzi were the highlights that we were looking for. Great to be right on the river and looking across to woods rather than other hotels. The room was very clean and neat; not fancy and a bit out-dated but very comfortable and enjoyable.

Hotel advertised free breakfast. You are actually told to get your breakfast to go to the hotel next door, the Days Inn, and eat there, without telling them you're staying at the rocky waters inn. The bed was comfy, and the room looked clean for the most part. The plumbing was a nightmare. The sink took 10 minutes to drain out. The shower also had a […] very slow drain. The shower would not turn off, I feared the room would flood, I had to take apart the handle and fix it myself to get the water to turn off. Enjoyed the stream running behind the hotel and the fireplace. Traffic noise was not good at night. While close to house of pancakes, there was no convenient dinner place. Overall room was pleasant although a bit outdated, but would stay again because of location.
