Great hotel, a little smaller than Mandalay so easier with check in/out. Very nice rooms-really appreciated having 1.5 bathrooms!!! We use to stay there all the time. Changed rooms 3 times. Kept up 1st night until 4am from the MIX lounge 33 floors above us. Standing water in the sink when we checked in, shower smelled terrible, had to call a plumber. Bar drinks were absolutely outrageous. We got a great price on a King suite at THEhotel at Mandalay Bay-it was a beautiful room, very large bathroom, and excellent service. Mandalay Bay is the far south end of the strip, but there's a free tram that takes you to Luxor and Excalibur so it drops you off right in the middle of the action, but it's still easy to drive down and park at Fashion Show mall or Bellagio if you want to walk the strip. Good Hotel. Overall, liked it, especially for the price. Doesn't compare to the newer hotels on the Strip, but again, for the price you can't beat it. Cons, however: 1) SLOW Valet and Bell Desk. We were waiting for Luggage bell-desk to arrive for about 10 minutes when we first valeted our car. The Valet-Parker was yelling "Luggage" for quite a bit […] of time. 2) Make-up mirror bulb was out for the Miss. Good news, however, is that a tech was sent up promptly to fix this. 3) For being 2014, the TVs inside the suite are OLD. The TVs are more than likely 2004-2005 models. Stayed here 5 nights - was with 5,000 colleagues who come here every year to THE Hotel and Mandalay Bay....and they wouldn't allow a late check out. Wasn't asking for much, but they told me to go fly a kite and said I had to leave at 11 (flight was at 4:30 and the reason I needed the late checkout was to go to the expensive brunch at the Four Seasons […] which is inside the Mandalay Bay hotel). We stayed at THEhotel 2 nights for my husband's birthday and didn't want to leave! The room/suite was tastefully decorated, spacious, and very comfortable. The king-size bed was very comfy and we were thrilled with having 2 separate washrooms, double sinks in the main bathroom, a shower and a soaking tub, plus 3 tv's, in the bedroom, the living area, […] and the main bathroom, and a wet bar. We actually made reservations for The Hotel, but upon arrival were told they had re-booked us at Mandalay Bay. We also did not receive the room we requested which was 2 queen beds.
