"Great view and service, average hotel"
The best part of this hotel is the location. Beautiful views. Hotel bar area in front of the hotel is newly finished and looks great. As you go into the hotel and into the rooms, things start to to dated and obsolete. Front desk very helpful and kind. THe hotel room had two twin beds pushed together with two sets of twin sheets...not really king bed […] as promised. Mattress was hard as a rock. Bathroom was dated but clean and good water pressure. TV was barely operational but who needs a TV with the view out the window. The pool is so small it should be a kids only pool. If you go to Rhodos, go for the beach and other amenities, not for a 4 Star hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to the beach"
Friendly service, room was adequate but outdated. Very close to the beach, decent restaurants nearby, approx 15 minute walk to the Old Town.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location for the price"
Ensure if you are staying at this hotel to ask for a room with a view to the sea (esp if you are in a single room go for 121-521). The rooms with view to the pool are not worth the money. The hotel furniture is old and not for a 4 star hotel, but the staff is friendly and makes up for the services.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Two weeks vacation in Rhodes"
This hotel is not a four star hotel, maybe it was a four star hotel when it was built in 1960s.the condition of beds are very poor, the carpeting in the hallways and common areas needs replacement the refregirator in the room was so noisy that I had to unplug it before I go to bed every night .the best part of this hotel is the dining area staff they […] are very friendly and professional.Nick the manager of the food services at this hotel is a real asset to this hotel.he is the reason many guests feel good about this place. "Little Gem - much more than I expected"
Very friendly staff. Superb service. Great food. Perfectly appointed hotel for the beach and Rhodes town. I will be back.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel gradevole, ben posizionato fronte mare.

Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel Ibiscus Rhodos"
Excellent location. Good restaurants nearby, the beach is 30 seconds walk, very nice bar and the standard breakfast offers a variety of choices. The rooms are not luxurious, but they are very decent. A room with sea-view is spectacular. The rooms have a small tv, a small mini-bar where you can leave water or food. It would have been stupid to choose […] a hotel in the old town. The old town is crowded with people and buildings. I recommend this hotel.
Genuine Expedia guest review

"Central position hotel in Rhodes with lovely views"
07/22/14 MavisD Somerset
After reading all the reviews we booked one week half board at Ibiscus Hotel. Upgrading to a seaview was worthwhile and half board produced excellent food both breakfast and evening meal. Plenty of choice and absence of chips was appreciated. Staff were professional and unobtrusive but friendly. Room was a good size and very comfortable and like previous reports the bathroom needed some updating, but all was clean and towels changed each day if required. Plenty of areas to sit near the bar and outside the hotel watching the world go by and no pressure to buy drinks constantly. Minutes from old town, beach bus stops etc and best position hotel we have chosen for years. Loved it and Rhodes itself is very interesting and lovely.

This was our second stay at the Hotel Ibiscus and it was a great holiday . The staff our this hotels greatest asset they are professional and friendly. George is the cocktail maker and he is very laid back but we had a few jokes with him. We booked a sea view which is worth the extra supplement as the room is also bigger. We loved breakfast there is everything anyone could possibly want hot and cold food.We booked our evening meal too as restaurants in the town our expensive but Rusticos and Romeos are worth the money . The evening buffet was varied and tasty lots of choice we definitely will eat there again next time we go. We must mention the restaurant manager who treated us like special guests at every meal. The waiting staff are quick to bring whatever you may need.

I went to this hotel with my boyfriend, it was fantastic. We stayed half board and we were going to go out for an evening meal one night but decided not to because the food in the hotel was so nice! It was the best breakfast on the island too. The location was great, it is on the Mediterranean beach (which I found a lot better than the Aegean beach), it is very close to Rhodes Casino, very close to Mandraki Harbour and it is in between the old town and bar street so perfectly located for everything you would want on your holiday. Our room was lovely, we had an end room though so it was bigger than the other rooms and the view was absolutely stunning. If I ever come back to Rhodes, I will be staying in this hotel again. We never spent a whole day by the pool as we prefer the beach but the pool area did seem quite small, however it didn't seem to be crowded.

Just got back from a 10 day holiday at the ibicus hotel Rhodes. My husband and I do not usually do package holidays but decided to try Thompson, we were both pleasantly surprised. We booked extra legroom and we had plenty. I had checked ibiscus hotel on trip advisor and had seen mixed reviews but still decided to book anyway especially as everyone said the location was good and believe me it couldn't have been better. Right opposite the beach, about a 10 min walk to the town, about a 20 min walk to old town which is a wow factor on when you first walk in. The hotel is very clean, the room was twin beds pushed together we had a balcony which got the sun I the afternoon. The bathroom was rather tired but adequate for what we needed. I would advise you take your own hairdryer as the one I the bathroom was useless. The room was cleaned daily and towels changed every couple of days. We stayed on a b&b basis and the breakfast was good with something for everyone, the restaurant staff were very good. There is a nice bar area where you can get free WiFi but it is very slow. The bar serves all drinks and snacks. We found the drinks quite expensive, the food was not bad we only tried it on our last day and it was very good we could of actually shared as there was so much we couldn't eat it. The pool area is very small and only a splash pool which didn't bother us but I do think that the hotel should not allow guests to put towels on beds as there are not enough beds for that to be done. The staff were all mostly helpful and cheerful. There is a hairdresser on site and is excellent as we both had haircuts and they were good but it wasn't cheap. Mind you we found Rhodes very expensive we ate out every night and yes we do like nice food but we spent anything between 50 and 100 euros a night, we are sure you can eat cheaper but we did not want to eat rice and chips every night. We done two trips with Thompson one was a visit to Simi which was wonderful we loved it and also a trip called simply Rhodes, this was great we loved the valley of the butterflies and our tour guide was fabulous. The trips are quite expensive it cost 190.00 euros for the two of us for both trips. You can book the trips elsewhere but especially with Simi make sure you get the boat from the harbour and they don't take you elsewhere to be picked up. All I all we loved our trip to Rhodes even thou wefound it very expensive. In old town find a bar called socratus garden it is a oasis in the middle of town, the staff are fabulous and so friendly. Also eat at Romeos the most expensive of the restaurants but there king prawns which are massive in period sauce were the nicest ive ever eaten. Also the archipelagos in the square is great and do the best pizza I have ever eaten and good value Plus the staff are great, sit up the top the view is great.
"Great place to stay"

Stayed here in June this year, second visit and still very good. Rooms are a bit dated but the staff are so nice it does not matter. The manager at breakfast is wonderful, the staff are so efficient and always a smile. Hotel has a beach in front of it and a quieter one behind. Sunbeds and parasol 8 euros a day. Did not use hotel pool. Hotel bar great, order a drink and brought over with free nibbles and crisps. We love rhodes town and the people are the friendliest we have come across. We are going back again and recommend it to others. There is so much to see and do, something different round every corner. We have also visited lindos and pefkos but find rhodes town has so much more to see and this hotel is in perfect location.

We have just returned from Rhodes, stayed in Ibiscus hotel for 10 days. Hotel is very good located, right on the Elli beach and 15 minutes from old town. Rooms are big, spacious, perfectly clean. Furniture is bit outdated, but that is something we don't find as relevant minus. Hotel stuff is very polite, doing their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Food at the restaurant is delicious very diverse, so every one can find something he likes. We would return to this hotel gladly and recommend everyone to choose this hotel for a holliday to remeber.
"lovely hotel, great location"

We stayed for a week in June, the weather was fabulous, the hotel itself is in a wonderful location in front of the beach, with plenty to look at whilst you sit and enjoy a relaxing drink. The reception and restaurant staff were very obliging, whatever we wanted was never too much trouble to oblige. However, although the cleaners were polite and friendly, they didn't replenish the toiletries in our room unless asked which i thought was a little naughty as they had plenty on their trolly's, we didn't see them in the hallway every day so it was just as well we had some of our own in reserve. The food was very good, with plenty of choice for each meal, (we stayed half board). The walk to Rhodes old town was only around 10mins, a slow stroll around 20mins, i would not stay anywhere else when i next visit.

Have just returned from a lovely week at the Ibiscus (June 2014) our room faced the sea and was referbished and cleaned every day also towels and beds changed daily, Food was fabulous and head waiter very friendly,we have put on pounds. Beach over the road with sun beds only 4 eur each with sun shade.Rhodes old town and harbour only ten mins walk away, as usual it is cheaper to book any trips yourself and not with holiday rep, A geat Hotel , only one thing it only has a plunge pool .
"Poor hotel with amazing view"
06/13/14 Pavelek24 Gorzow Wielkopolski, Poland
I spent in this hotel 7 days in August 2013, Hotel is beautifully situated. Rooms facing the sea have a beautiful view. Unfortunately I can't say more good things about this hotel. The rooms are outdated. The food is monotonous and tasteless. Canteen manager is rude and insolent. I would not stay in this place again.
"Another Brilliant Holiday in a Fabulous hotel!"
05/29/14 Liz691952 Newcastle-under-lyme, United Kingdom
Just returned from a fabulous 2 week holiday in Rhodes. Stayed in this hotel last year and found it such a warm and friendly place that we stayed again this year and was not disappointed. Everywhere clean and spotless and very welcoming staff. Only bed and breakfast but a lot of choice at breakfast. Has a rear sea view room which we requested which overlooked a peaceful palm tree lined square on the side of the hotel that the sun set so was always warm during the evening (although it can be a mite breezy at times). Bar prices were cheap and service efficient and friendly. Spent a lot of time at the Old Town which for sheer magnetic atmosphere is hard to beat anywhere. One warning though - we were constantly hassled by time share touts around the harbour area and some were extremely rude and aggressive. Many more child street beggars around this year too - some looked as young as 5 or 6 - which should be stopped by the police. They were obviously organised gangs as we watched them being dropped off by adults from the back of a van - but it was so sad. See you again next year!
