The heat in the original room did not work, but they happily put us in a new room and we were very comfortable. The pool was filthy, but the sauna was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our room was spacious and clean. Along with the rest of the hotel. Best mattress ever!! Not sure how it was so soft yet firm at the same time. A very convenient location with plenty of great restaurant choices. Only thing I wish was a little better would be the breakfast. It was a little scarce. Also, the hot tub/spa was out of order.

Did not know what to expect. We wanted a quaint place close to Yellow Springs, OH. From the pictures and description it looked really good. Our great... surprise is when we got there and we discovered a true gem hidden in the middle of Southern Ohio. Everything new, sparkling clean, with excellent taste and wonderful staff. The owner is quite an entrepreneur and it shows. Everything, from the architecture, to little arrangements is of wonderful taste. We'll definitely be back. The Hearthstone Inn is just steps away from the Erie/Ohio bike trail, an off-road rail trail that will eventually traverse the entire state from Cleveland to Cincinnati. The Inn is located in a quintessential small Midwestern town, close to local coffeehouses and restaurants. The Inn itself tries a bit too hard in the small-town-quaint department, but […] the rooms are comfortable and the staff are friendly. My only real quibble is that while the price of the room includes breakfast, there is no hot food available and service doesn't begin until 8:00 am.
