The noise level from the street was awful and began around 5a.m.

Great place to stay
Our stay at the Imperial Hotel was great. If we ever get back to Cork, we will definitely stay there.

Unbeatable location; classic,comfortable,friendly
We had a wonderful two-night stay at the Imperial. The location is unbeatable, so central to Cork, with lovely lanes just around the corner. It has classic grandeur combined with modern convenience and friendly and efficient staff. We will definitely be coming back, and would not stay anywhere else in Cork now that we've found the Imperial.

Well... You see.
I'm going to start out by saying the Location of this hotel is amazing and the staff were really friendly, but that was the only good thing about it. The rooms were horribly small, especially for the "luxury" of the hotel. Our bathrooms wall bulged out making it so the toilet seat had to be held up or it would fall closed by itself. Room was very unclean. Dishware had lines from past beverages, the bathroom had mold growing inside the tub and around the edge of the tub. The paint had chipped off the edges of the tub which collected grime. The street noise went on until about 3am, the window pane was so thin you could've probably broken it with a gentle knock. Other than that the hotel had very outdated furniture and the wifi was so bogged down because it was an open network for the shoppers below that it became practically unusable until about 1am. For the price tag and quality of this room I would certainly never recommend you go there. Unless you want to get sick from mold and sleep rock hard beds.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay. The only real issue with the hotel is the parking situation. They do provide offsite parking within a short walk of the property, but not knowing this in advance and having to double park to offload and the wait to get the garage key card was not expected. We will book again.
