inconvenient location...too far out of town...This hotel should be 2 stars instead of 3....wasn't clean...rather smelly, dirty carpet....terrible bed, TV was small and was't working properly...no air-conditioning, room over the bar and live music until midnight! would not recommend!

Staff was helpful and friendly. We loved The Holy Cross as a place to eat and they had traditional live music in the evening. It was recommneded by staff.

It appeared they were just putting up the Viking sign while we were there. There stay was great, it was just missing some of the polish, like the not-working tv, or the torn bed linen. I am sure the new management will address this with time. A very good value. Thank you.

ok place to stay, convenient location. could not adjust water temp in shower (knob was stuck). room seemed lacking furniture, almost empty feel and bed was uncomfortable. clean place but nothing to write home about.

Receptionist was extremely helpful & friendly. Cooked Breakfast was rather tasteless. Room was spacious & very clean. Location was excellent for us with a free car park which was an added bonus. Overall I would stay there again but would skip breakfast the next time!

The hotel was quite a distance out of th city centre and also difficult to locate amongst the car dealerships. However good car parking facilities and fine as a bse for exploring surrounding area. There was some misunderstanding with our booking terms on arrival which was fairly quickly resolved by Hotels.com, but one member of front of house staff […] was very offensive in her attitude and certainly lacked customer service skills! This hotel looked tired and in desperate need of some money and imagination. It is located out of town amongst a collection of car dealers and retail stores. Although the room was clean, everything in it looked old and faded. Television only worked with a few channels. Really nice hotel, good service, good food. Located on the outskirts of Waterford - useful if you have a car (lots of free parking) and don't want to stay in the middle of town. But also, close enough to town to take a taxi for a night out.

I stayed this hotel for two nights. We were first placed in a non smoking room with a old disabled shower. The bed covers were stained. We were moved to a smoking room, that smelled. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Stayed for one night with my daughter last week while we visited Tramore. Suited our needs more than adequately. Room was very clean and room facilities excellent. My 9 year old was delighted with selection of suitable tv channels. Breakfast was lovely and reasonably priced with good selection for everybody. Would definately stay again.

Leider war das Hotel in ausserhalb, in einem Gewerbepark von Autos. Auch waren die Zimmer sehr hellhörig, und das Hotel ist leicht zurückgesetzt zur Hauptstrasse, hatten aber immernoch sehr viel Verkehrslärm.Restaurant gabs in der Nähe nur das Hotelrestaurant in gehweite.

Points positifs : - Grande chambre, grand lit. - L'hôtel a un parking - Situé à 5 min. en voiture de Waterford Points négatifs : - le site lui-même n'a aucun charme ni intérêt ("banlieue" de Waterford) - le service laisse à désirer. Ex. : une lampe de chevet ne […] fonctionne pas à notre arrivée. Nous appelons la réception pour que l'ampoule soit changée. 20 min. après, pas de nouvelles, nous rappelons, ah oui, ils avaient zappé, ils s'en occupent... Un employé arrive, il s'avère que l'ampoule qu'il a apportée n'est pas le bon modèle (!). Il dit qu'il va revenir avec le bon modèle, mais 20 min. après (il est désormais 23h30), pas de nouvelles, nous devons à nouveau rappeler la réception qui nous répond "oh, désolée, je pensais qu'il vous avait prévenus : nous n'avons pas d'ampoule en stock (!!!), elle ne pourra être changée que demain". Das Hotel liegt im Industriegebiet. Das Personal ist freundlich und höflich. Unser Zimmer war behindertengerecht, wie das Hotel insgesamt. Das Essen im Bistro war gut. Es schien uns, dass dieses Hotel auch bei den hier ansässigen Engländern bliebt sei. Wir haben das Hotel aufgrund des sehr günstigen Preises ausgewählt. Das Frühstück haben wir nicht […] gebucht, weil uns der Hotelpreis für ein englisches Frühstück nicht angemessen erschien. Auf dem Zimmer gibt es die Möglichkeit, sich Tee oder Kaffee zuzubereiten, was in England und Irland normalerweise auch zur Zimmerausstattung gehört. Dafür gibt es keinen Kühlschrank und keine Minibar. Die hoteleigenen Bars sind jedoch normalpreisig und nicht so übertrieben teuer wie in Deutschland. Insgesamt kann ich das Hotel nur empfehlen, wenn wir auch erst etwas suchen mussten, um es zu finden, weil es anscheinend nicht möglich, eine genaue Adresse anzugeben. Read more
