Very good stay!

I was running a race in Allentown. The hotel refused to give me a check out later than noon. Never had such refusal before.

Stayed at this hotel due to it being close to a 2 day meeting I needed to attend. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was pretty good and it was walking distance to 4/5 different restaurants. Next time I need to go to a meeting in that area I am looking at this hotel first.

The breakfast was non existent. Sunday we ate out and on Monday we tried the hotel breakfast. There were no eggs and the person before us took all the sausage, which was two. There were not danish, fruit, no english muffins, donuts etc. Also, we did not have our bed made and clean glasses for drinks. The room was good. However, we had a hot water issue which was supposed to have been fixed on the 2nd day of our stay. It was NOT. They did move us to another room. However, we were unable to control the temperature. The breakfast was also good.

My daughter and I wanted a convenient, reasonable, and safe place to stay while visting Allentown. That's just what we found at this hotel! It was a little hard to find off of the road (even with GPS), but once we found it we were very pleased with our choice. The rooms were nicely appointed, athough the mattresses and pillows could stand to be updated. […] (They lacked firmness.) We enjoyed the Cracker Barrel right next door and getting back onto Rte. 78 was a breeze for us after our visit. We would definitely stay here again. Read more

My husband & I thought the room was very nice and clean. I liked the layout of the room. We will be there next year around the same time.

The hotel was fine, except for the smell of smoke in the hallway. The room itself didn't smell of smoke. The breakfast was good.

Front desk staff were very friendly. Room was clean, but a couple of things needed updating. The tub faucet/shower didn't work right. Handle was upside down & not all the water came out of the shower. It was also difficult to find, tucked back in the strip mall. Breakfast was pretty good, except for the eggs-awful. Not bad for one or two nights.

We found the hotel very difficult to find. It was tucked back in a strip mall and could not be seen from the road. Our GPS was telling us we had reached our destination, but there was no hotel in sight. The sign on the corner, which we noticed later, does not give any indication of where to find the building. This is a very good hotel with large rooms. It is convenient to Allentown, PA destinations such as Dorney Park. They provide a good hot breakfast and have a dining area that accomodates everyone. There is plenty of parking. This hotel has a Cracker Barrel restaurant next door. It is close to I-78 which makes it easy to go to either New York or Harrisburg […] PA. It is also very close to the Lehigh Valley entrance to the Pennsylvania Turnpike which makes it easy to get to Scranton, or to Philadelphia. Read more

The room was not too bad for staying in one night, which we did, but not a week long (or longer) trip. However, upon arriving and checking in, the check in clerk was taking care of a group that entered just before we did. It took a good 10 minutes to check them in while my group, coming from an all day college softball tournament obviously worn out […] and tired, had to stand around and wait for this clerk to have a conversation that had no relevance to check in or the hotel. Normally I do not mind this (as I do work in customer serivce) but the fact that my group, hotel customers, was very obviously tired and restless and was disregarded was very off putting. The lighting in the room seemed to be in the entrance area and over in that direction while the other side of the room seemed very dark. Also, the room was stocked with decaf coffee, no caffinated coffee at all. The room was a double bedded room but only had 1 chair, do the math. The hotel only has 1 ice machine on the first floor, we were on the second. Last complaint would be the complimentary breakfast area, there were not enough tables to accomodate everyone and those at tables were so close together. We were in a non smoking room but the entire hallway smelled like smoke. The breakfast was not good - poor quality food and eggs had sour milk in them. The worst was a leaky air conditioner that made the carpet wet and room smelled with mildew and made us sick so we left early. We just got a "sorry about that" - no offer for a refund.

My wife and I needed to stay overnight in the area and wanted a place that we felt comfortable in that was also convenient. This place fit that perfectly. It wasn't our first stay here and won't be our last.

THE ROOM WAS GREAT. VERY COMFORTABLE. ONLY DOWNSIDE WAS NOT BEING ABLE TO FIND A GROCERY STORE IN THE AREA TO PUT A FEW SUPPLIES IN THE REFRIDGERATOR. HOWEVER HAD FAST FOOD PLACES WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE TO AVOID THE CONGESTED TRAFFIC IN THE AREA. BEST OF ALL WAS THE PRICE. WHAT A CONCEPT. The hotel needs some updating but it was clean and the staff was courteous. If you need a place to crash in this area - it's conveniently located right off the highway and price was reasonable.

The Hawthorn Suites in Allentown-Fogelsville was a disappointment. The common areas were clean, but the room was not. The bathroom was in poor shape and the bed smelled odd. We were very displeased. The free breakfast was worth exactly what we paid. We won't be going back to any Hawthorn Suites.

This hotel was very clean, staff was polite and helpful and room was spacious and included a kitchenette. The surrounding area was quite and the location was close to or destination of Topton but also to several other areas including Allentown and Amish / Menonite country. And all of this for a very reasonable rate.

It was nice, clean, and reasonable priced!

Great place, great deal. Convienent to all Lehigh Valley locations. Good breakfast bar. Only issue was in-room coffee maker only had decaf. Check before you go to bed. It is available though the desk. Fortunately the tea was not decaf.

Very convenient to the Interstate. Good restaurants close by and convenient. Breakfast was very good. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

NOISY room - conversations and TVs from other rooms could be heard through the walls any time of day or night. Our room was located right above the main entryway and we could hear the electronic doors opening and closing ALL NIGHT LONG. At our check-in (2:45pm) we requested a different location in the hotel but was denied even though we observed other […] travelers checking in AFTER us. It was obvious that the rooms were pre-assigned (he flipped through a stack of print-outs to retrieve our reservation) and there was no flexibility to accommodate our request even though I was told over the phone in advance of our travel to make such requests at check-in. Breakfast food and beverage items were depleted and not repleished in a timely manner. We had to tell them they were out of food and beverages and then waited 10 minutes for SOME of the breakfast items to be replenished. The ONLY "comfort" were the beds. A very comfortable, clean hotel. Nice breakfast in the morning and coffee anytime. Room was clean and very comfortable. Front desk friendly enough and parking sufficient in a well lighted lot. Located in a mall type area but nothing open on a Sunday.

GREAT HOTEL. THE STAFF WAS GREAT. THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN THE AREA HAD LOTS OF PLACES TO EAT. EASY ACCESS TO HIGHWAY WOULD STAY AGAIN

The only problem with the hotel was that the elevator was out of service and our room was on the second floor. Other than thsat, I was very pleasantly surprised.

Talk about biggest bang for your buck! Large rooms, include couch, coffee table, desk, little kitchen with microwave, fridge, sink (included soap), separate vanity from bathroom and even a lounge chair. Wi Fi was also included with zero glitches. Every morning we had a hot buffet breakfast with your basics. Coffee/juice available all day long, a great […] complimentary happy hour one day of the week and complimentary daily USA Today. It's not the most fancy or gourmet hotel, but you cannot beat the value and it was clean! Business center also in-house. My husband and I had reservations at another Hotel 20 minutes away, but extended our stay at the Hawthorn b/c of the GREAT price and very friendly staff. We've been in 4 hotels in the last month now and felt most spoiled for our money at the Hawthorn. Read more

Hotel room was not very clean - The hotel overall was fine and good location to other restaurants.

This was a very nice place to stay. It was clean, comfortable and close to the toll way. I'll stay here again when I'm in the area.
