Hotel is a bit on the old side but they seem to have kept it up well. Pillows were not comfortable. There was a woman outside our room smoking when we first arrived and later in the night 2 men were talking loudly outside our door but I guess the hotel can't really control the manners of who stays there.

Rooms are very small. They did not have the 1 bed we ordered. They gave us 2 beds. They also do not have breakfast as advertised.

Refrigerator didn't work so they changed our room to a room where the air conditioning didn't work. It was very hot and humid in SD and all we had was hot air blowing at us. Breakfast is a joke. It consists of a muffin and bitter coffee, small juice and a dish of frosted flakes. We needed a cheap place (with free parking) to crash after long days at the beach, snorkeling, kayaking, and hiking. This place is a great inexpensive clean hotel right near the marina at Shelter Island. We got up in the mornings and walked to nearby restaurants (Red Sails) and ate on a patio overlooking the marina. The hotel's "continental" breakfast […] consisted of an individually wrapped muffin and coffee, so definitely find breakfast elsewhere. We found a nearby fresh juice place and had an amazing hip dinner at the Pearl across the street. We walked at night out to Shelter Island to see downtown San Diego lit up. The hotel is a great place to shower, sleep and put your things, but it is not for those who like to "hang out" in their hotel room all day. The remote control was broken, but we don't watch much TV so we didn't care, and they forgot to put sheets on the bed one night, but we had no other problems. Read more

Convenient location to local attractions. Continental breakfast is somewhat of a joke and you have to ask yourself because they won't remind you but the Inn was just what we needed to stay in Point Loma for the night. It's not high quality but it's good for the price and where it is.

Prepare for a ghetto corner of Rosecrans St in Point Loma. That being said good cheap place to use as a headquarters for drunken activities. You get what you pay for though, seriously. But my biggest complaint is not having a flat sheet. They put the comforter down over the "flexible" bed sheet. I know the comforter isn't washed everyday like sheets […] are. So I should probably go to the STD clinic now that the comforter has touched my privates after 1,000's of other peoples. I guess you could sleep under the towels. I would not recommend this hotel. The management was friendly and would seem like they cared. Upon arrival we found the coffee maker with the previous days bag still in the filter basket , there was still a roll away bed in our room , which made it very crowded. I'd like to write a better review for this hotel, but I can't. It was well located and reasonably priced (for San Diego prices at least). It was certainly not the cheapest hotel we've stayed in, and was quite tired inside for the price. However, our main complaint was with the front desk and the noise. We did not get any sleep whatsoever. There were […] very noisy guests above us and to the side of us, who were in the car park shouting and screaming (and I mean REALLY shouting) between 1am and 4am. When we tried to phone the front desk to complain, the line was permanently engaged. When we complained in the morning, the woman at the front desk explained that she had heard the shouting (there's no way she couldn't have - it was so loud), but had assumed it was from another hotel. Although the hotel cannot be held responsible for the behaviour of the guests, I do not feel they took adequate steps to deal with the situation. The 24 hour front desk was non existant. We had a 12 hour drive the next day, on less than 2 hours sleep. Very disappointed. Read more
