"Great break on the coast"
Loved this hotel located on the Atlantic. Great beach to walk on, close to the Burren, the Cliffs of Mohr, and other day trips. The room was comfortable and clean and the staff at the front desk, restaurant, and the pub was wonderful. The only thing that did not go smoothly was their internet was down for more than half of my stay.
I stayed in this hotel over the weekend and I will definetly be retuning. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were so friendly especially Marian and Stephanie in accommodation who made sure everything was ok for us in our room and throughout our stay. It's in a great location with great views. I will definetly be returning soon
"Great Post Wedding Barbecue"
My Wife and I had our post wedding Barbecue at the Armada hotel in July 2014. The hotel is nicely decorated and clean. The staff are very nice and helpful. The Barbecue was a great option for us as we had over 100 people attending and it gave them all a good choice of delicious food to try. All off the food was beautifully cooked and there was even enough left for seconds. After the Barbecue the hotel allowed us to bring our wedding cake for desert. That was a nice touch from the manager. We did not stay at the hotel but some of our guests did and they all really enjoy their stay.

Stayed 28th Feb. Very friendly check-in, Triona was very chatty & pleasant. Room very spacious. The hotel was very busy with a local event on. Lively atmosphere in the bar. We ate in the restaurant, only small thing is the menu in the restaurant is not very extensive, more dishes would be better. The restaurant wasw extremely busy & service was slow, however the staff did apologise more than once so it wouldnt hinder our fews only more availabilty of dishes. The hotel is located on the waterfront, the weather was freezing but the heat in the hotel was great. The wifi & phone signal strength isnt great but then your on the west coast & it was actually nice to have a bit of down time from the phone, very idylic location, would recomend a 2 night stay thou to see all the area. Can only
"Wow, My husband wants to go back!"

Ok so I am not a fussy person. I like clean and comfortable but my husband turns into Mr Criticism every time we go into a hotel. However he loved the Armada in fact it is the first hotel he has ever said he wants to go back to- and we have stayed in a few. This hotel is not close to the ocean it is right besid the Atlantic. The view from our room was spectacular and at times while eating breakfast we thought the waves would land at our feet. Also I must mention the staff they should be sent to teach all others in the hotel industry how to do business. From the lovely girls in reception to the excellent bar staff to the fantastic ladies serving breakfast, service was second to none. Also I must give a special mention to the girls in the childrens club, our son's holiday was made by you , he is still talking about the fun ge had. THANK YOU to all at the Armada my husband, son and I had the time of our lives and I truly could have cried leaving.

"Great venue for a wedding"

I recently stayed in the Armada Hotel for a wedding. The views from the hotel are spectaular. Even though the weather was very stormy it added to the effect of the waves crashing against the cliffs. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, one of the nicest wedding meals I have had. Breakfast both mornings was delicious, there was everything you could have wanted and had the most delicious home made bread and scones. We had dinner in the restaurant the second night and again the food was excellent. The reason I marked the hotel with four stars rather than five was I felt some parts of the hotel could do with renovating. While our room was spacious I felt the decor was tired and dated and wasnt worth the money we paid. In my opionion fresh paint, some new carpet and curtains would have made the world of difference. I know some of the rooms have been already updated so perhaps this is something the hotel plan on doing in the future. In saying this the bed was so comfortable. There are no leisure facilities however you are right on the beach. We walked down to the Belbridge Hotel for lunch on the second day and that is only ten minutes walk down the road.
"Truly relaxing, a magical setting!"
I have stayed in this hotel a number of times with my husband. I brought my mother here this time and will honestly say that we had a fantastic time. The staff are so helpful and genuinely nice. The hotel itself is beautiful and I don't believe you could get a more fabulous view than in the pearl restaurant! The views and the sound of the sea are so relaxing and the little touches such as the library areas are just a touch of magic!
"Stopped in for some food - Fantastic"

We stayed here a couple of times before over the years but recently we were staying in a hotel about 30 minutes away and decided to come back over to the Armada to get some dinner as it has never disappointed us. Food as always was excellent, very tasty and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back here to stay sometime in the future and if we are ever in the area or near to it, we will definitely go out of our way to get lunch or dinner here.
"A personal favourite"
We visit annually and are never disappointed. The food and service is top notch and the staff are so welcoming. The location and views are perfect and after many years still have only had one bad experience. I highly recommend this hotel for is caring staff and perfect food, rooms and views

The Armada Hotel is in a great location but unfortunately the hotel itself failed to make an impression. On arrival we were given an upgrade to a "standard double" room with a sea view, quite frankly without this view the room offered nothing else. The window had 2 openings only one of which opened but because of faulty latches this took a lot of effort. The bar of the hotel is a nice old style Irish pub serving a basic selection of food. The most disappointing aspect of this 4 star hotel was the Pearl restaurant, again the menu was fairly basic as was the atmosphere. For our evening meal we were seated at a large window with a view, unfortunately it was hard to see past the filthy smudges on the window panes. Our table had a small night light candle and no table cloth which is not much to expect in a hotel restaurant, photos on the website had given an impression of much more elegant surroundings. The food in both the bar and restaurant was just ok, it lacked flare and imagination, and the presentation was very poor. We did however find the hotel staff available and always friendly.
