"très bon hotel"
hotel très sympa tout près de la mer, petit déjeuner à prendre face à l'océan. pour la chambre s'est autre chose, faut payer pour regarder l'eau sinon vue sur le parking, c'est moins romantique!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Stayed in the armada hotel to mark our one year wedding anniversary which took place in the same hotel. We also had an evening meal in the hotel restaurant. The whole experience was just faultless from the friendless of the staff member checking us in, the fabulous room (tranquility suite), the gorgeous evening meal, the warm atmosphere of Johnny burkes bar and the delicious breakfast. Many thanks to all at the hotel for their continued brilliance.

We stayed at the Armada Hotel earlier this week & cannot say enough good things about it! We are home from Australia & wanted to get away for a few days with our new baby(almost 5 months). The hotel was beautiful with fantastic sea views. The rooms were nice, clean& warm too & a travel cot ready for us in the room. There was a bad storm when we were there so we couldn't go out and do much so we went for dinner in the hotel and the 2 lads in the bar were just so friendly & it was a nice old Irish pub, very cosy considering the horrible weather outside!! Every time we were about the hotel everyone was lovely & always went out of their way to talk to us & our daughter Willow. It was a pleasure going down for breakfast and chatting to the staff & seen them interact with Willow as some places just honestly don't give a crap & don't make an effort. Anyone looking for a nice getaway to just relax should go here. The sea views & friendly staff will make it worth the trip. Thanks for the fantastic hospitality Marian & staff. Happy Christmas. I was staying at the Armada Hotel in October 2014 on a course being held at the Hotel. The location was awesome and if you are lucky then there are wonderful sea view rooms (which are all very clean and spacious) , although we were hit by a storm coming in from the pacific, it didn't spoil my stay there at all as I could get lost just watching the Ocean. The service and attention that we as a group received by all staff at the Hotel was excellent and professional at all times. Anything that you need, just ask the very friendly and helpful staff and they will be happy to accommodate to the best of their ability. The food was first class and as a group we put in some off the menu requests and I can honestly say that on our last night there, the sticky toffee pudding made at our request was truly the best I have ever tasted. Although Spanish point is fairly isolated, if you have a car then it doesn't take long to drive out and visit the beautiful countryside of county Claire, which I highly recommend. It is a Hotel that I would highly recommend to anyone who needs a quiet getaway at a very high standard Hotel in a beautiful part of Ireland. My thanks to all the staff who made my stay a wonderful experience.

We booked this hotel after hearing great things. The room was ok, the bar was nice, the staff friendly and the breakfast was good, however we didn't get any sleep due to screaming and shouting the corridors all night. The staff can't have been unaware of what was going on yet it continued all night. Wouldn't stay again

We stayed here a few weeks ago on a scouting mission for our wedding. The place is excellent but unfortunately just a bit too far away for us. The staff are fantastic, the views splendid, the food excellent and the rooms nice, big and clean! Go to the bar and get the chowder, its truly outstanding. Have a walk down the beach and then relax in the bath overlooking it. Loved this place and we'll be back.

Very special occasion enhanced by friendly staff and beautiful decor for civil ceremony. Very nicely done. affordable rates, excellent breakfast selection and fine dinner served to large wedding party. We got an excellent room, spotless and very comfy bed. Would love to see plans for a pool and would go again with children but would return as a couple.

We booked this hotel on reading reviews and expecting it to be amazing... Well after a long drive we arrived to a freezing cold room we rang reception and she said she had put it on but none did come on :( room was ok nothing special or great but maybe it was because we booked on a deal website... We had dinner that night in the bar we were served warm beer and food was lukewarm wasn't great at all and took ages to arrive maybe we just dined at a wrong time!!!! Anyway we weren't overly pleased with this hotel but the views were amazing and the staff were nice too

We arrived to a really warm welcome from reception. The room was huge with incredible views of the Atlantic. All the toiletries were lovely including the seaweed bath, which was a really nice, local touch. The pub is fantastic -open fires, cosy snugs and some great trad music. We dined in the restaurant on both nights of our stay and had a lovely meal both times. The service again was outstanding. Unfortunately out second night in the hotel was a disappointment as a function taking place in the hotel had seemed to get out of hand with teenagers running around the corridors, shouting, singing and slamming doors until 4 am, which really disrupted our sleep. Even when security came after them, it didn't seem to stop them. I brought this to the attention of the receptionist on our departure, as she hasn't asked us whether we had enjoyed our stay. I had hoped for perhaps an apology but I was only told that 'there were a few functions last night'. I am aware that it's not strictly the hotel's fault but some empathy from the receptionist would have gone a long way.
