The rooms were simple but adequate. The hotel is several blocks from the Baker Street underground station and within easy walking distance of excellent restaurants, a coin operated laundromat, and a gym. It's a good choice for an extended stay.

Good location and average hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful, but you are truly playing for location. This is a guesthouse in the middle of westminster. So if you want to be close to this area then good, but expect and average guesthouse and higher than guesthouse rates

Lobby has a big sign posted saying that if they call to book your cab back to the airport, you'll save 10% vs. normal rate. I had them book and they quoted me L48 (which indeed would have been 10% less than a cab company I checked with). I was very impressed by their breakfast menu and the hotel's overall attention to customer service. eg they had maps to hand, sheets with a large variety of local restaurants of different nationalities, AND best of all in my book, a breakfast menu to cater for a wide variety of tastes. We specifically asked for 1st floor as we have lots of luggage but they did not even read our remarks. We were given 2nd floor. Even though they carried 2 bags up we had to struggle with the rest. We had a triple room. Everything in the room is old. Don't look at corners or under the bed. It looked like it has never been cleaned.

From the pictures, this hotel looks pretty reasonable - but the reality was slight different. I don't mind staying in budget hotels, but this has definitely got a hostel feel to it. Overall it was clean - but not what I had expected.

There was no cold water for brushing your teeth. The fridge next to the bed made it next to impossible to sleep. Plastic plants everywhere were horrible. It was awful to have to pay extra for a cooked breakfast. They did look after our bags however and it was right next to a bus stop which took us straight to Lords.

For the low price, entirely reasonable. But you get what you pay for. I normally stay at 4 and 5 star hotels. My colleague encouraged me to try budget hotels since he thought that they were really just as good as more expensive accommodation. Mmmm really? Mattress did not even have a protector. The bin in our room had the last 3 bin bags inside it under our bin bag. The shower did not drain so would flood the bathroom after a few minutes and the bins had not been emptied. When we checked out the next day I told the receptionist all of the problems we experienced. She merely took out a complaints book (which was thick full of complaints) and started to write. When I was done she said "ok" and I said, "don't you even want my phone number or contact details so the manager can call me and explain/apologise?". She wasn't bothered, but I insisted with the expectation that I might get a phone call, but I didn't. The receptionist didn't even say "I'm sorry about these things", she just took the book out like she had done it 100 times before and when I was done didn't even say anything to me. This was an older property which looked as though guest rooms had been squeezed into what was once a much larger space. A number of fitments were broken or missing e.g.washbasin plug. Drainage was very slow which suggests system overloaded. Overall room was clean and well presented.

Paying the price I Did for 1 night I expected a little bit more .....but how wrong I was. The room was pleseant enough (as in it was tidy) it was cold there was no visable heater & there was only one light bulb working OH and someone had used the toilet and left a rather unamusing smell just before i checked in, the whole place needed a fresh lick of […] paint (It looks like it hadnt been painted since 1945) there was a nice tv on the wall with only 3 channels working and the sink didnt have a plug.. my sleep was ok even though the traffick did keep me awake for awile (but thats noones fault) ......
