SANA Estoril Hotel - Cascais

Although not the most modern hotel in the area, we felt it had a perfect location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. We didn't realize until after we arrived that breakfast was included. It was a good breakfast. Although we went to the beach most days, we did use the pool one day and it was lovely.

It may have once held a commanding view of the water with a grand ballroom. That time passed a long time ago. It's now tired, next to a loud highway, with everything about it outdated.

The hotel is in a great location close to the beach (5 minute walk) and the views from the upper floor rooms (mine was 6th floor, sea view) are fantastic. All amenites in the hotel were as you would expect of a 3* property. No cpomplaints at all - a very reasonably priced hotel. Would stay again.

Arrived at the hotel and the receptionist gave us our rooms straight away next door but one together on the 5th floor. We had a end room so could see the sea out of the side window and the kids had a room overlooking the back but it was a lovely size. The hotel was in a great position although the hill was quite steep but a short walk to the train station and from there you can get to Cascais and Lisbon easily, Cascais is a nice walk along the sea front and we spent a day there and it was lovely. This is a really good Hotel, centrally located with great views over Estoril from the front beach facing rooms with 4th and 5th floor having both balconies and the great view. We recommend this Hotel and have stayed in Estoril and Cascais 3 times before .This is the one Hotel we will go back to.

We stayed 5 days in this hotel convenient location close to the train station for both Cascais and Lisbon and close to the beach. Room was nice, we were lucky to have one with nice balcony. We (me, my wife and my parents) stayed at this hotel because of it's location. The services was great! But the rest was a disappointment! The Twin rooms were small and worn down. The hotel got a total renovation 1997, but it felt like1979. The furnitures were worn. The door to the bathroom was squeaking and the first thing you meet was the bidet right […] after the door. The carpet was worn and dirty. The small sized twin bed was hard and not comfortable. You lock the door with a key and not by card as a other more modern hotels. Everything was old! When the windows were closed there was a gap so the wind blew into the room. Our telefon didn't work. The guy from the reception tried to fix it but didn't success. Wifi-access is not free. Since the telephone the reception gave me free Wifi access for 24 hours. The breakfast was okey exept the coffee from the machine. There was a constant smell of cleaner because the table cleaning by the staff. There is a small swimming pool. The sun ray didn't reach the pool area after 5 pm in the afternoon so you if you want to get tanned you have to be there before 5 pm. Read more

Booked this hotel as I was at a conference in Lisbon.It's really convenient to train and transport systems ( train 5/10 mins away and 40 mins and €4 to Lisbon;Local bus also goes to Sintra for a great day out!). The staff were very friendly and helpfulat all times.The rooms were a good size, had a bar fridge and were very clean.Breakfasts were great. […] Only issue was road traffic noise as it's on a busy road BUT you get used to it and it was not a real problem.Pool OK for sun worshipping. Bar provides basic food but there are great restaurants nearby and beach is lovely (local and in Cascais). Would be very happy to return- great value! Good hotel, 3 minutes from the beach. I visited in January. It was 4C during the day and 0C at night, so rather cold. The property is not built for this weather. There is only one restaurant nearby. Hotel was very well located for the beach and the train station.Not many restaurants in Estoril but a 5 minute train ride to Cascais gave plenty of choice. It is on the main road so some traffic noise can be heard, but nothing compared with the nightclub noise coming from the basement of the hotel on Fri, Sat, Sun, from about 11 o'clock at night until […] 5 or 6 in the morning. We asked to be moved to the top floor where we were assured we wouldn't be able to hear the noise. However, the bass beat vibration was still a problem and when guests left the club they were extremely noisy. Overall the hotel was very good value with a good breakfast included in the price, but was spoilt by the noise from the nightclub. L Hôtel est bien situé. Proche des transports en commun et de la plage. Le personnel est très sympathique et parle français pour la plupart. La chambre est petite et mal isolée du couloir. La literie est particulièrement dure. Cela rend le lit très inconfortable. Le petit déjeuner est correct sans plus. Rien de très typique, du classique hôtel.

Ligging op zich prima maar de ervoor lopende weg zorgt wel voor wat geluidoverlast als je de balkondeuren open wilt laten. zeer vriendelijk hotelpersoneel. Bra läge i Estoril, men i den orten finns ingenting, knappt några restauranger alls. Man får promenera till Caiscais som är toppen. Sängarna var så hårda att det var svårt att sova. Frukosten var fantasilös, knappt någon färsk frukt, juicen smakade utspädd saft. Det i infon utlovade gymmet fanns inte längre. I infon stod även att alla rum hade balkonger […] vilket visade sig inte stämma (vi hade det dock). Tråkigt poolområde utan snackbar (vilket fanns på hotellet i form av ett par bedrövliga alternativ). Dock kanontrevlig reception, hjälpsamma och serviceminded, jättebra städning. Sana Estoril ligger nära tågstationen, nära till stranden och nähet till restauranger och shopping. Hotellet har en charmig flärd från en svunnen tid över sig. Stort sällskapsrum och trevlig bar. Mitt enkelrum var litet och utan balkong. En pall och sängen var de enda sittmöjligheterna. Rena handdukar varje dag. Emplacement idéal à qques pas de la plage (et du casino)... Sinon chambre petite pas très actuelle dans un hotel un peu vieillot, petit déj complet mais pas très sexy... Das Hotel ist sauber und gepflegt. Wir hatten nichts zu beanstanden. Das Personal ist freundlich, sehr hilfbereit und aufmerksam. Das Frühstücksbuffet war auch in Ordnung aber auch etwas eintönig, da es z. B. nur eine Wurs- und Käsetsorte gab. Wir waren nun 3 Übernachtungen dort und da war es doch in Ordnung. Wir hatten einen schönes Zimmer mit Meerblick. […] Jedoch liegen einige Zimmer direkt an der "Hauptstraße", da kann es durchaus sicher etwas lauter werden, aber da die Zimmer mit einer Klimaanlage ausgestattet sind, kann man gut mit der Türe zu schlafen und man hört nichts. Wir hatten Zimmer mit Meerblick gebucht. Was wir nicht wußten oder sehen konnten, das Hotel lag direkt an einer sehr belebten Straße. Es war also relativ laut. Der Pool war noch ein bisschen kühl, dafür der Weg zum Strand kurz. Auch Restaurants und das Casino waren gleich um die Ecke.
