Schooner II Beach & Racquet Club - Myrtle Beach 33.70098, -78.8703

My new husband and I were very satisfied with this hotel. The pictures online just do not do it justice. When we got checked in our room more than exceded our expectations for our stay. The hotel staff were very friendly and the view from our room was amazing!

Rooms were well kept, and kitchen was well stocked with things to cook and eat with....will stay again

We enjoyed our stay at the Schooner II. Friendly staff. Parking somewhat limited. Hallways to room somewhat blah, but rooms were very nice.

It was very nice, i did not like that there was a coffee pot in the room and not any coffee. The pool outside was really small...

The Good: The room I stayed in was well appointed with a comfy bed, the staff friendly, and the location convenient to the convention center, the beach and numerous local restaurants. The Bad: The bathroom was dirty and particularly the tub. I tripped coming out of the bahtroom on carpet that was coming up at the transition piece. The carpet was gritty and felt like it had not been vacuumed or extracted in awhile. Construction work surrounded the hotel where five or so floors were being reworked. This resulted in construction noise, loss of some snack/ice/drink machines, and a 7:50 AM Sunday morning wake up call as a construction worker whipped a heavy line against my window in his attempt to hoist something up. It also resulted in my parking across the street where it appears my car was keyed. Checking in on Friday evening late and leaving at 10 AM Sunday, I was expecting that the room would be tidied and the towels replaced at least once. No luck. When I returned from conference in the afternoon, I was informed that the housekeeping staff had left for the day. New towels were brought up at once at my request, however, the old ones were left in the floor.

Our weekend stay was wonderful. we enjoyed our condo and the view was spectacular of the beach. We left our patio door open the entire weekend so we could hear the sounds from the beach. They pool & hottub were so relaxing. The area was great for site seeing and eating. The staff was great, we will coming back again and stay at this hotel, also we have recommended to our friends & family to stay at this hotel. Our romantic weekend was so much more than what we thought it was going to be. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and cant wait to return next summer. We hated to leave we were having such a great time and relaxing stay. Our condo was excellent The rooms do need to be renovated and tv's need to be updated. But overall wse couldn't think of a better place to stay. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable.

Great room for the money, close to Broadway at the Beach(excelent place), in the middle of everything.

The hotel has improved a lot since the last time we stayed. The only thing you need to do is remember to bring "extras" like shampoo and what not. When I asked for some, they told me to go next door to Breakers and buy some. Otherwise, the room was wonderful. My kids had a great time.

HOTEL AND ROOM WERE NICE. WE HAD 2 BEDROOMS WHICH WAS GREAT. WE WERE ON THE 14TH FLOOR WHICH WAS KIND OF ANNOYING..WAITING FOR THE ELEVATOR AND STOPPING A MILLION TIMES ON THE WAY UP AND DOWN. HAD GREAT ROOM CLEANING THE FIRST FEW DAYS, HOWEVER ON SATURDAY OUR ROOM WAS NOT CLEANED. I CALLED THE FRONT DESK AND A LADY TOLD ME THAT THEY WOULD HAVE CLEANED THE ROOM BUT THAT I NEEDED TO STAY IN THE ROOM DURING THE DAY. WHAT? I WAS ON VACATION! NEVER MIND THE FACT THEY CLEANED EVERYDAY PRIOR TO THAT DAY. THE SHE ASKED WHAT I WANTED CLEANED IN MY ROOM. AGAIN WHAT? AS OF 4:30 NO ONE HAD EVER SHOWED UP. I WENT DOWNSTAIRS WITH DIRTY TOWELS AND EXCHANGED THEM FOR CLEAN TOWELS. AROUND 5:00 A RUSSIAN LADY FROM HOUSEKEEPING CAME TO CLEAN OUR ROOM AS WE WERE GETTING READY FOR DINNER. WE HAD THE HARDEST TIME TELLING HER TO FORGET CLEANING OUR ROOM BECAUSE SHE DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH! OTHER THAN THAT INCIDENT OUR STAY WAS ENJOYABLE.

My stay at the Schooner Beach II was great. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The only suggestion I would offer would be for a later check out time. 10am is too early to check out it should be 11am the same as other hotels.

This hotel was actually better than what we expected. After reading other reviews on the Schooner II, we were somewhat wary about keeping our reservation there. Even though we didn't get one of the refurbished rooms, we were satisfied with our stay. The oceanfront view from the balcony was awesome. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The service was prompt and always delivered with a smile. They went out of their way to make sure that our stay was a pleasant one. The 2br/2ba was very spacious and the hotel itself was convenient and close to other attractions at Myrtle Beach.

I was so happy when I opened the door to our 2 bedroom condo! We had a master bath and a great view from the master bed. I was so surprised because the condo was so affordable! Although we had some issues with the spa area (never being able to gain access) and they only clean the rooms once a week, I would still make reservations at the Schooner II tomorrow if we were to return to Myrtle Beach. The rooms were very nicely decorated and the flat screens were a nice touch. The balcony was VERY small but what a great view!

Really good accomodations and very good personnel service. Check in is at 4:00 pm check out at 10:00 am not so convenient if you want to spend some time in the beach before leaving but the room itself was very comfortable and neat; after entering the suit we were happily surprised by the size and distribution of the rooms.

Wonderful access to the beach and great room view of the ocean. Close to many resturants and shops. Dated decor

The room was laid out very nicely, however the air conditioning was very noisy and the tub jaccuzi was an absolute joke. Very small even for one person. Our room was not cleaned by housekeeping while we were there and we ran out of towels. The desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean when we got there and had a great view of the ocean.

Good location, the room was very clean and was comfortable. I was only staying one night, but would have enjoyed staying for several nights. The location was convenient both for the beach and for downtown Myrtle Beach. For the price, I don't think you could beat it. If you are looking for a good, comfortable room and not really interested in other stuff like spa and tennis, but just want a good, big room with kitchenette, comfort, cleanliness - this is the place to stay.

This hotel was nice, clean, convienently located and nice view from windows and terrace. Beds were comfortable and hotel staff went beyond duty to insure our stay was comfortable and relaxing.

The room was spacious and comfortable. It was so nice to have the kitchenette and living room separate from the bedroom. The public areas of the hotel were a little dated, but well maintained and neat. The front desk staff was very courteous and helpful.
