"Just love Disney"

Drive took 3 hrs from Calais French roads are fab no accidents or roadworks Arrived just after midnight check in was swift and cleaning pack given, we had a premium cabin for 4 adults, this worked well as both couples had their own bathroom. Cabin was warm and had everything needed except an oven however we managed. Shop was not as well stocked as in previous years but be prepared to e ripped off with the drinks prices €10.99 for a cocktail....... Unbelievable However this didn't spoil our visit. Will we return??? You bet this got to be the best way to do Disney and definitely the cheapest.
"Brilliant self drive stay!"

Travelled with my husbands family, we had 2 standard log cabins as there was 8 of us in total travelling in a minivan via eurotunnel for 4 nights. Check in was very quick and staff were kind enough to make sure are cabins were next to each other. I would agree with previous reviewers definately use junction 13 to come to Davy Crockett. The Ranch is only 10/15 minute drive to the parks so great location, also free parking at Disney for us as residents at Davy Crockett. We self catered as it was easier with the children in the party. We shopped at Carrefour (approx 20 mins from Davy Crokett) as it was massive and value for money. Standard Log cabins are large, 1 main double bedroom (really good storage in both bedrooms), 1 small bedroom with bunks, bathroom with bath over shower, large open plan living area with kitchenette, sofa bed and dining table with 6 chairs. The cabins are very quaint in a wild west theme, spacious and very clean on arrival. The only problem with self catering is that there is no oven!! In the kitchen there is a dishwasher, sink, plenty of cupboards, fridge and microwave. We were lucky enough to have a good weather so were able to BBQ outside. Swimming Pool on site is great! Approx 6 jacuzzi's, flume and massive pool. The only problem was the water is chilly. Character viewing was great onsite, this is outside the main village shop. We met Minnie Mouse, Goofy and Donald Duck! The characters are normally there late afternoon and dressed in wild west clothes. This was great as you have more of a chance of getting a picture with the characters as in the parks its not always possible. Really enjoyed our stay its a brilliant place to stay if on a budget as the facilities are great onsite.

We have just got back from a 3 night stay at Davy Crockett - I would highly recommend this place if you are having a trip to Disneyland on a budget as it works out so much cheaper than one of the onsite hotels, we weren't really budgeting but what it meant was we had more money to spend in the park which was a big bonus! As for the ranch itself, it seems quiet, we did go end of November so I imagine this isn't always the case but it is well laid out, I love the fact it all looks very "wild west" the swimming pool is lovely, didn't have a problem with the water being cold, it was just right, the onsite shop was well stocked, didn't visit any of the other facilities as we were too busy in Disneyland but it did seem very lovely and quaint, if anything it seems a bit of a waste because I guess most of the guests will be going to Disneyland? Their are two reasons I cant give this a maximum, firstly people on here say the characters visit the village - if they do this isn't advertised at all and where do they go? Wouldn't have a clue but my biggest gripe would be to do with the actual holiday homes, its self catering but how can you self cater without an oven? We managed but there is no need for a dishwasher when you have a perfectly good sink, ovens are desperately needed! And you can only fit two/three people on the titchy sofa other than that the beds were comfy all heaters were working, power showers, pretty lovely all round to be fair just a few tweaks and it would be top notch!
"Great Place to Stay"

Just back from visiting Eurodisney, stayed 2 nights here, the staff are really friendly and helpful, we stayed in a premium cabin, 2 adults 3 children. As other reviewers stated - make sure you use exit 13, have an upto date Sat Nat we did see signposts but as we had no French we made a few mistakes. Also the towels are quite small. We ate our dinner here both nights, Buffet style with plenty of choice, great salad bar, plenty hot food choice, our 3 kids really enjoyed picking out their own food, the only thing I would say is that the earlier you eat the better. Our 2nd evening it was 8.30 before we ate and some of the dishes were hanging around for a while. Its good home cooked food is how I would describe it. Would recommend and would return, very positive experience.
"Awesome time at Davy Crockett"

For the money we paid here it was fantastic, basically a static caravan in the woods but ours had recently been refurbished and it was brilliant. Disney characters visit the village each evening so my 4 your old got time with Mickey something on the main park that is very hard to do due to all the people. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Try to avoid buying food in the village shop though as it's really expensive €6 for a loaf of bread!!! All in though a fantastic place and would definitely go again.

We stayed here for 4 nights and I do have to say it was not bad to be honest. It is in a quiet location, about a 10 minute drive away from the Disney Parks. The beds were comfy and warm, which was good and the village area, with the big shop was great for a roam around, and the pool was so warm and nice. I do wish we could have went to the sports hall and played a bit of table tennis, but it was closed. The staff were friendly as well, and overall, we are quite pleased with this hotel.
"Lovely family stay on the ranch!"
We have just returned from a four night stay here. We were pleasantly surprised with the ranch for what we paid. Easy to find, well signposted with a lovely, very helpful reception area. Our cabin was basic but clean and warm which was what we needed in rainy November! Lighting was a bit dim but went with the whole feel of the place. Beds super comfy and our boys loved the bunk beds! Only gripe was a toaster would have been handy. We loved being away from the hustle and bustle of Disney. Here you feel like your in a different world. After long days at the Disney parks it was great to spend time in the pool which was superb! The kids also loved having a look round the mini farm, the playground and the wig wams! The restaurant looked nice but we didn't eat there. All in all a fantastic place to stay with children and for a self catering holiday at Disney we will definitely be returning in the future!
"Fab week, ready for Christmas"

Was a bit dubious having read some of the previous reviews...should not have worried. Arrived at reception and was able to book in straight away (before 3pm) and headed off to our cabin. We had a premium cabin. Perfect for our needs...although a little odd for a 6 berth cabin to only have 4 mugs. There were towels provided but these are quite small so would advise bringing your own bath towels. The kitchen utensils were basic, but just sufficient. The cabin itself was spotlessly clean. The heaters/heated towel rails were very useful for drying coats etc after getting stuck in the rain - you cant put items on the heaters but you can certainly hang them over the back of a chair near the heaters to dry. Didnt use the pool etc but ate at the buffet on our last evening and the choice of food was very good and plenty of it. Our son (3 yrs) loved every minute of it. He met all his favourite characters in the park and would recommend the character breakfast...definitely pre-book. It is pricey for what it is, but the choice of food available is good and you cant put a value on seeing the smiles on the childrens faces...plus I got to meet my fave Goofy. The Xmas parades are fantastic...and my son just loved the snow. The show at park close was fantastic.

Me and four friends stayed in a Premium Plus cabin this weekend. When we arrived check in was fast and friendly, our cabin was clean and warm and the stay was lovely. It was really useful for us to have the table and kitchen as it meant we could eat cheese and drink wine playing cards until late in the night! Only down side is we were meant to be provided with a cleaning kit, which we never received so we had to buy washing up liquid etc, and that there wasn't a hairdryer when it said there should be one on the website. When we rang up about this they asked us to collect it from reception, but never mentioned anything about bringing money for a deposit. After the drive back to the front of the site and waiting in a long queue for reception we got told we needed money, and we weren't allowed a hairdryer without a deposit. This was disappointing as we had no money on us and no time to go back and queue again, so we ended up drying our hair on the radiators/heaters in the car on the way to the parks. Not very easy. We had a few drinks in the saloon which were nice, although expensive, and ate at the restaurant one night. A buffet with no real theme to it and a mixture of food. It was okay but nothing special. However minus those minor points it was a fantastic stay and I'd recommend anyone to stay there.
"Use junction 13!"
We are 2 adults, 6yo and 4yo boys. We drove from Calais - easy drive in about 2 3/4 hrs. It is not well signposted from motorway - you need to come off at junction 13! The parks/other hotels are at j14. It is barely a 10min drive from the ranch to the parks. Staff at checkin were friendly. Reading other reviews we knew to ask for a toaster (refundable 30 euro deposit) at checkin. Got there at lunchtime and there was no queue and our cabin was ready. We had a premium cabin. 2 bedrooms (1 double, 1 3 single beds), 2 bathrooms, lounge, kitchen with sofa, dining table/chairs and a large deck outside. It is basic ( 4ring hob, kettle, dishwasher, full size fridge/freezer) but clean and warm. The shower was good and powerful. Can't comment on the other ranch facilities (pool, play area etc) as we didn't use because we were at the Parks all day and only came back to sleep, have breakfasts and make packed lunches to take with us. Most of the food we brought with us but some stuff we bought in the ranch shop - quite expensive ie 5euro for bag of dry pasta! Would thoroughly recommend for families as it was great being able to put the boys to bed in their room and then sit on the sofa with a glass of wine and relax for a bit which you can't do if all in the same hotel room. Having seen the horrendous queues for the shuttle buses back to the other Disney hotels, we would definitely use the ranch again. Lovely peace and quiet in the woods after the hustle and bustle of the parks. We ate twice at Annette's diner in the Village - very good burgers! Eating in the parks seemed very expensive, hence we took our own lunches/snacks/drinks in with us. Our backpacks were scanned and checked but it is obvious that the no picnic rule is not enforced at this time of year. The queues at peak times in the restaurants were huge!!!
