Friendly and courteous staff. Within walking distance to PNC Park, downtown, and Heinz Field. Beautifully restored Monastery from 1888. Quiet and filled with ambiance. Would highly recommend for a quiet getaway.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A MUST stay if you visit Pittsburgh"
Drove from Iowa to go to a Steelers game and this hotel was an excellent choice. Great staff and the building itself along with the church was a nice calming environment. Although you could find a cheaper place to stay and the location is just a bit suspect, the benefits outweighed the negatives. Try it at least once to see for yourself. We also liked […] the shuttle service. Will stay there again when we get back to The Burgh!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This place was great- would stay there again-Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Went to Pittsburgh to attend a series of Pirate baseball games. Close to PNC Park. The hotel has a shuttle and it took you and picked you up from the games. Overall the Priory is a charming hotel with character. The bathroom, though large, could have been more upscale with a better bath tub/shower. Bathroom was dark, very little lighting. Tub filled […] with water while shower was running. But loved the old feel to the place. The 1850's to late 1800 architecture is beautiful. One steps back in time when you enter the front door. I would go back again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel has been nicely renovated. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are quaint (former Benedictine priory) and histroic. The bed was a little firm for my taste. Shower was a little small (think dorm room). As others have said, although the surrounding area is known as a german village, it is also surrounded by section 8 housing. […] I would not be out walking around at night. Breakfast was sort of european continental. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The accomodations were excellent. We were concerned a little by the surrounding neighborhood but we were assured it was safe. It is very convenient to sporting venues and downtown. We would definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

very nice hotel close to ball field...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A little farther from PNC then anticapated but still convenient. I would stay here again for sure. Cute little bar. Everybody was friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
Love this hotel. This was my second stay. Rooms are more than comfortable. Breakfast very, very good. Like a European hotel with the cheeses and meats. And Pittsburgh has some great restaurants and breweries. Also a very nice little bar at the hotel. Staff are also great with info and help and there's a shuttle to help out as well on getting to restaurants […] and such. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to ballpark, homey, great service"
I was coming in to catch a Pirates game -- the Priory is an easy walk to PNC Park but tucked off in a neat little neighborhood -- a great alternative to the chains. Service was fantastic -- staff went out of their way to offer a shuttle and get around an early breakfast when my schedule required it. Room was beautifully appointed, high ceilings, lots […] of character with the regular hotel comforts. Would definitely stay there again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cute but not the best location"
The Priory was just as charming as expected, with friendly staff, easy complimentary parking, and a wonderful complimentary breakfast. The only drawback was the surrounding area, which I was warned not to walk around after dark (and I'm from downtown Baltimore).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very convenient and accomodating!"
We enjoyed it very much.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent little gem with a great room"
I was pleasantly surprised by most things about this hotel. I was in the new wing which was added a couple of years prior to my visit. The old and new wings are seamlessly blended together. I had a king room on the first floor and it was very large and comfortable and surprisingly quiet. The room featured a very large sink area in the main room that […] was well lit and offered plenty of space for personal items. The shuttle driver was very friendly but it can be hard to arrange a trip at the last minute at rush-hour times of the day. However, they're very good for getting to and from the train station. I had a midnight train and The Priory let me relax in the front room and bar until it was time to leave, and kept watch on my bags in the meantime. The only thing missing for me was the ability to do personal laundry as I was in the middle of a long trip. However, since I found no mention of this service on their website or other listings, I packed a couple extra days of clothes and was ready. Being in the midst of a long trip, I found the nearby Giant Eagle grocery store handy for restocking on some personal items. I went to two ball games and did a lot of walking and found the hotel's location to be fine, if a bit off the beaten path. Be wary of the bars on nearby East Ohio street if you're arriving in town late and are just hoping for some food. Eat at the hotel's bar instead or ask directions to other nearby places. I will happily stay at The Priory again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A Wonderful Surprise!"
The Priory Hotel is a Euopean style inn in an up and coming area in Cleveland in a very quiet and off the main streets. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Henry the concierge/shuttle driver was delightful and very accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable. The included breakfast was excellent. I would definitely return.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The architecture was amazing. Very clean and everyone so helpful and friendly. They answered all our questions and shuttled us everywhere we wanted to go within reason. Will definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to stay"
The location is very close to the ball parks and the staff is very accommodating. I loved the old fashion architecture, can only imagine what it looked like when it was built in 1888. I will definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very good hotel for couples."
A very lovely older hotel that offers free internet, parking, and a very nice German breakfast. The hotel is located within walking distance to downtown Pittsburg, and only 10 minutes to PNC field. It is a changing neighborhood that is safe to walk, and a lot of homes are being remodeled. I would definitely return for another stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"I Love This Place"
I loved this place. I went to a baseball game in Pittsburgh, and this hotel was about a 10 walk from the ballpark. They charged no parking fee, and let me keep my car in their lot so I wouldn't have to pay fees anywhere else. The staff was awesome. If I'm every in Pittsburgh again, I'm booking a room here.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was fine, but neighborhood felt unsafe. There was someone screaming obscenities for hours at night, followed by police yelling through megaphone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We travel extensively. If you prefer cookie cutter hotels , this is not the place for you. It is a refurbished monastery, and the decor was outstanding. The complimentary breakfast was also excellent. The staff was beyond helpful. I highly recommend it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Small boutique hotel. It was very charming and clean. Not in a great neighborhood though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were pleasantly surprised with the uniqueness of the hotel especially when driving into the neighborhood. A real gem blending old building structure with up-to-date amenities and near the highways. .Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great experience, very unique"
The Priory feels more like a European hotel. Much more interesting than a cookie-cutter chain hotel. Good European-style breakfast included. Nice small bar with local microbrews. Quiet. Close to everything.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

This place is amazing. It is a beautiful building and the service is great. We spent valentine's day there and had a great time. I would recommend it to anyone. Planning on staying there again in the future. I love this place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very special, "boutique" type hotel"
Hotel is gorgeous. It resembles an upper-end British B&B, but rooms have a nice shower that you can actually adjust :) The heating system in our room, however, was unfortunately closer to UK-standard, i.e. not so efficient... our room was cold (January). The breakfast was not English style but rather on the healthier, German side (no Nutella, unfortunately). […] Very good breakfast, in my opinion far better than any economy chain hotel, such as Holiday Inn, etc. The building (former monastery) and deco is *very* special, antiques all over common areas and rooms. The bed (mattress) luckily didn't belong to the antique category: it was very comfortable. Highly recommended, specially in the spring/fall when the HVAC system of the hotel is likely not to be an issue. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"great little boutique hotel"
The hotel is in an area that you wouldn't expect to find a hotel. The neighborhood appears questionable but not necessarily bad, but once inside the hotel itself, it couldn't have been nicer. A quaint old building with lots of wood detail and tall doors. It has been completely remodeled. It was like staying in an old mansion. The staff was great, helping […] with any details from reservations to directions. The free shuttle to nearby locations was great and allowed me to have dinner and drinks without worrying about driving. Free wifi in the room and free parking across the street were a big plus and they served a nice continental breakfast. I would definitely return. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Came to see the Andy Warhol museum"
Delightful and charming 42 room botique hotel. Staff was great. They have a shuttle that will take you where ever you want . For dinner we walked to Max's, a great local german tavern, and back again. The neighborhood is a little iffy, but obviously we felt safe. Parked the car full of Christmas presents in their lot across the street, again with no […] issues. The hotel is about 1/3 mile from the museum. Took the shuttle over and walked back. "NO PLACE BETTER - home away from home!"
I cannot say enough good things about this lovely hidden gem! My boyfriend and I had an amazing time in Pittsburgh thanks in great part to the staff at our home away from home. Our stay surpassed all expectations. The room was delightful. Lovely view of the courtyard out our window. Amazing architecture. Great natural light. Comfortable bed. Great […] hot shower and water pressure. Our room was a little cold. I called the front desk and in 3 minutes they brought a space heater! LOTS and LOTS of little extra touches that made it special. Even the cute little Monks Bar that holds maybe 12 people. Stop in, have a drink and chat with the bartender. It’s like coming home to the living room. The continental breakfast was very satisfying with proteins like yogurt, boiled eggs, meats and cheeses plus fresh berries, sliced melon, toast and bagels, pastries, cereal – even peanut butter for your toast, coffee and tea. It’s true the hotel is just off downtown in an off color area. But with the FREE, secure parking lot across the street we felt safe to come and go. And the best part about our stay, hands down, was the free shuttle service. Henry the concierge drove us everywhere we wanted to go at the time we signed up for, all the while giving us tips on the best places to dine and telling us stories about his living Pittsburgh. It made getting around so easy and saved us a ton of money on gas, taxis and parking. Stop looking. Stay here. You will fall in love with the Priory! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Our experience at the Priory was delightful. It was easy to find. We were welcomed by a friendly front desk. We were shuttled to and from wherever we wanted to go. "What a Gem!"
This is an inn built in 1888...the addition of 17 rooms, in 2008, is, architechturally, in keeping with the rest of the building. The staff was pleasant, helpful and just great! Breakfast was super and the Monk's Bar was fun with a knowledgable bartender and delicious appetizers, salads and sandwiches. The Priory shuttle will take to any location within […] 3 miles of the hotel. The neighborhood is eclectic...but we felt safe walking in the area. "simple and elegant. great staff"
At first we were fearful turning onto the street of the hotel but it turned out to be a perfect stay. The staff there was so helpful when we were experiencing a problem getting a cab. (happens that Bieber fever was causing the delay) Henry the concierge was the ultimate! He made certain we reached our event with 2 minutes to spare. Thank you Henry! […] The room was quaint and peacful. Nothing extravagant but very very clean. And it had an ipad/iphone charger which was a welcome surprise since we forgot out chargers! "Priory Hotel in Pittsburgh"
The Priory Hotel is located across the river from downtown Pittsburgh. It is in a residential neighborhood, though there is a grocery store and gas station on block away. "Charming but questionable"
I checked in late and out early. I was told by front desk it was okay to walk to a nearby resturant... DO NOT WALK after dark. I was approached by three "undesireables" on way to resturant, had resturant owner drive me back after dinner.Genuine Expedia guest review
