We loved the overall first impression of the doorman, lobby, and welcome. The hotel is easy to miss right next to McDonald's on a walking street, but once you get inside, it's quiet and comfortable. The Superior room was quite smaller than expected (about 9 by 10ft), and the air conditioning didn't really keep the room cool, but it was clean, comfortable […] and quaint. The customer service was excellent, but one of the lobby receptionists told us to got to the wrong terminal, in turn making us miss our flight, so always double check that information yourself. Once you leave the hotel, you're right in the middle of a walking street that is busy with tourists and locals, and it's very convenient to walk to everything. Read more

We went to Playa de la Americas last year at this time, and stayed at the Iberostar Bouganville Playa hotel, almost right next door. Therefore, I felt somewhat knowledgeable about what hotels to consider and which ones to avoid. The H10 Gran Tenerfe is located as close to the sea as it can get. This was important to me, as many Tenerife hotels claim […] to have "seaview" rooms or balconies, many are actually hundreds of meters from the sea. There is a small beach right outside the rear entrance of the hotel. This was very convenient for those short dips in the ocean, without having to walk a kilometer to the nearest beach. The rooms are recently remodeled, and we chose the seaview side of this hotel. Rooms had a large flatscreen TV, and a couple Russian channels, which was good for my companion. The restaurant buffet was quite good, but like most hotel resorts, can be a bit repetitive after several days. We actually thought that our previous hotel had slightly better cuisine. The service in the dining room was excellent. They have a little terrace where you can dine outside if you wish, but we thought it was too windy or cool for that. In all, this is not the largest hotel, so it was nice that it was a bit smaller. Elevators could get crowded, but didn't really seem to be a bother. In all, the seaview rooms are worth the extra price, as these rooms are right on top of the sea. There was a bit of musical noise from the outside bar late in the evening, but it did not disturb us. Such a disappointing stay, hotel advertises as a 4 star but this is a 3 star at best. Food was horrible, very low quality - so bad even though meals were included we ate out! Location states Adeje but not sure that is accurate. Attached to a Casino so that should tell you something about the general area...would never go back.

This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. It was great to have a lovely sea view and watch the sunset and also the hotel is on a lovely beach with direct access. There is a heated swimming pool as well as other pools. They have lovely wickerwork sofa beds with cushions to lie in the sun as well as very good pool sunchairs. Rooms are big […] and bright with comfortable beds and the balcony is a nice size. Just outside is a lovely promenade for walks and it is near all amenities. The night entertainment is also very good and the restaurant, lifts and entertainment are near each other so you don 't have to walk miles. You can have your meals outside overlooking the beach if you wish and the food is excellent. We were on a breakfast and evening meal basis. They have a nice touch at breakfast, some mornings you can have champagne on the way in and other mornings freshly made smoothies. We were there for a week in early March and the weather was lovely. A very nice hotel, with an ecxellent location. 15 minuts away from the airport, and close to everything. Do yourselves a favor, an get the room with seaview! We stayed on the top floor, and had the most wonderfull sunset every evening! The hotel is not suitable for children, which in our case was great. When you are lying at the great pool areas, you wont be disturbed by children crying or them splashing around in the pool. Stayed here for 4 nights over February half-term with my two teenage kids. We were given a room on the top floor right at the end of the corridor. Huge room, more like a suite with two rooms and an amazing balcony with great views of the coastline and the perfect place to watch the sun go down. The boat trips to see the dolphins and whales are worthwile and usually discounted. The mountainous scenery backdrop is impressive and its a great experience to go up the mountains above the clouds. The local bus every 30 minutes directly between the airpot and the resorts is only 2 euros per person. A week is plenty but a great break with great weather in a resort with decent people Read more

First as usual sunloungers were not being used all day but reserved with towels and personal belongings left on them. My wife and I have visited this hotel several times previously and it is our favourite hotel on the Island. All in all a very good hotel situated on the sea front with direct access to the beach. Sun beds are plentiful and towels are provided by hotel for a returnable deposit. Gangavstand inn til Playa Las Americas for den som vil shoppe og oppleve litt mere. Et minus var dårlig renhold på rommet. Dette måtte vi klage på. De drev også med vedlikehold/oppussing av terassen på hotellet. Det […] medførte ekstremt mye støy på dagene. Så balkongen vår kunne ikke benyttes før den siste dagen. Dette kunne det ha vært opplyst om i forkant. Vi hadde bestilt m/sjøutsikt og betalt ekstra for det. Men de rommene med sjøutsikt vendte ut mot det området med støy og opp pussing. De kamers aan de voorzijde van het hotel hebben last van straatlawaai en geronk van de airco. Als je geen zeezicht neemt(bij ons waren alle kamers volzet) is de zijkant een goed alternatief : het is rustig en je kan de zee zien. Het enige minpunt op de kamer : te weinig verlichting. Aan de receptie werkt een Vlaamse dame, die zeer vriendelijk is. Als je het hotel buitenkomt, kom je op de dijk en rechtstreeks op het strand. Het is een aangename buurt met winkels en horeca.De massage in het SPA-centrum van het hotel was ondermaats : beter ergens anders gaan. De tweede week echter was er maar een bezetting van 80% en dan was het eten lekker, gevarieerd en stukken beter. Leider Doppelbett nur mit einem großen Lacken. Essen auch sehr abwechslungsreich, jeden Tag ein anderes Motto. Im Gran Tinerfe haben wir (Paar zw. 50 und 60) einen erholsamen Urlaub (11 Nächte) in den Pfingstferien erlebt. Frühstück und Abendessen fanden wir gut bis sehr gut, das Restaurant ist dabei gut ausgelastet und am Buffet geht es lebhaft zu. Freie Liegestühle fanden wir immer, allerdings teilweise keinen (intakten) Sonnenschirm dabei und nicht in optimaler […] Lage am Pool. Unseren Mietwagen, mit dem wir Touren zur Masca-Schlucht und zweimal in den Teide-Nationalpark unternahmen, haben wir mehrfach in größerer Entfernung (ca 8 Min Fußweg) geparkt, um Parkgebühren zu vermeiden. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es zahlreiche Möglichkeiten für günstiges Shopping (Sommerkleider, Parfüm) und Getränke (Pint Bier ab 0,90 Euro). Die ursprünglich vorgesehene Teilung in Wander- und Strandurlaub hat sich u.a. aufgrund der Wetterlage und der Entfernungen zu interessanten Wanderzielen etwas zugunsten des Strandes verschoben, was andererseits Anlass für weitere Reisen auf diese Insel gibt.
