I stayed there for a week and the experience was very pleasant. The complaints I have would be the pillows and the parking lot lights. The pillows collapse easily which makes getting comfortable a bit difficult. I was on the second floor so the parking lot lights would give a glow to the room. I prefer near cave conditions when I sleep so I had to get […] a little crafty by putting a couple of pillows against the window. I had a king room which overall was more than adequate. The refrigerator is small but big enough to fit a large pizza box (I actually did!), and the microwave is a decent size to accommodate most items. TV service is good and internet is wired and wireless (although I only used wireless). The facility itself is very clean and you can see it is well maintained. I did not use the pool or fitness facility so I can't attest to it. It looked nice though. Breakfast is adequate but exactly the same every day. They offer scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, waffles, muffins, bread (bagels, english muffins, etc), yogurt, and assorted fruit and juices. The quality is fine but when you stay for a week, it gets a bit boring. The service staff is very friendly. Every staff member that passed me said hello or wished me a nice day. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay great. The front desk was extremely welcoming and the shuttle driver even took us to grab food on our way back from the airport as we didn't have a car.

Hotel was pleasant. Only complaint is that although I read previous reviews I didn't realize how much noise would be heard from the airport and highway. My nine year old daughter had a hard time resting and was afraid most of the night. We had neighbors that were extremely loud at 3 am which is no fault of the hotel, but the paper thin walls allowed […] for us to hear everything going on and enabled us from a good night's rest. The location was not ideal for a mother and young child. Something I will keep in mind later. Hotel was also further from UNC-C than the 11 miles indicated on Expedia which was unfortunate for us. The desk clerk informed me that there was a Springhill on University which would have been much closer for us to travel. All in all the hotel is nice and clean and would recommend mainly for a business travel stay. Read more

The hotel was beautiful and it was a good stay for the price. It was about 20 min from Concord Mills Mall, meaning there is nothing entertaining around,other than Wal-mart. We still had a good time overall.

Call me silly but I expect the floor of the bathroom to be washed before I check into the room. In my first room the floor had several stains arround the toilet. Makes you think what else they did not clean. The second room was clean.

The room and overall experience was nice. Was VERY disappointed to find out that the indoor pool was closed for maintenance (completely drained) while we were there. No one told us this when we booked nor when we checked in. We didn't know a/b this till we took our kids to swin that evening....that was pretty disappointing, esp to a 4 year old!!

The hotel was clean and comfortable, but appears to be an older hotel that has been remodeled. I couldn't have asked for a nicer staff. They were polite and very helpful. The staff at the hotel were wonderful. The rooms were great with the exception of a hard bed and pillows that were too small. The breakfast buffet was excellent. The pool area was dirty several times my child went to use it, with clumps of hair in and around the pool.

Stayed there on 7/31 and again on 8/6. Hotel selected due to proximity to airport. Comments: The description "includes breakfast buffet" is a real stretch. Very limited selections in a non-kitchen/restaurant setting more like a small hospitality area right of the lobby. Based on the available offerings, I went elsewhere. Jacuzzi was "closed for cleaning" […] for an entire week during and between my stays on 7/31 & 8/6. A nice change from ordinary rooms. Contemporary design with pleasant comfort. Was a great space for us traveling with our teenage son, he slept on the pull out sofa and while the room isn't huge, it felt comfortable. Nice Marriot-style bedding. Will look for Springhill again.

Overall I'd give this hotel a "5" but the lady serving breakfast Saturday morning deserves a BIG "10". I went down to the breakfast area early Saturday morning to see what time they began serving breakfast and ran into the lady over the area....sorry I didn't get her name. She told me what time they opened and what all they had. She was full of energy […] and had one of the best personalities in the world. I told her I’d be back as soon as they opened. When I went back she said what will you be having for breakfast and I said I was going to try a waffle. Although it was suppose to be a self-service waffle cooker – she said ok let me get that for you while you see if there’s anything else you want…..talk about customer service. Later my wife went down and returned to the room also commenting on the lady and how personable she was. She and my wife had struck up a conversation about a gentleman who was fixing breakfast to take back to his room for his wife. She told my wife can you imagine that – I should video that and take it back to my husband at home…..haha. I personally hope this somehow makes it back to him because she certainly deserves breakfast in bed. Later in the day I ran into the “breakfast lady” at the ice machine and told her I just wanted her to know what a pleasure it had been having someone so nice at the breakfast area early in the morning. She said oh thank you and God Bless You! I then gave her a hug and said goodbye. As I was walking off I was thinking of all the ways God had blessed me and one of them was allowing my path to cross with such wonderful lady. Read more
