"center of the city"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The hotel was very nice. Very close to Piccadilly station. all kinds of shopping and great areas to see. I had a great time just roaming the city. The only bad experience I had was that one evening at 3 in the morning the next room decided to have a gab fest for an hour. other than that I was very happy with my stay.....
"Great location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Room was very clean and comfortable. The location was great as we took the nearby Oxford Rd train station often. The breakfast was excellent.
"Very spacious"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The hotel/Aparthotel was huge. I was disappointed about being on the ground floor, but other than that it was very good. I would have appreciated the presence of UHT milk with the sachets of coffee. The kitchen was fully equipped with a cooker, microwave, kettle and fridge - could have happily fit four people in the room - which at the rate I paid a night would have been well cheap! The bathrooms were clean, plenty of towels and, importantly free wifi - although one does have to sign up to a website. One passcode per device, but relatively fast.
"Clean and efficent"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Stayed here the night before flying out of Manchester airport. The hotel is very convenient to the airport being within an 8 minute drive. The beds were comfortable, the room clean the tv worked all was good. We ate at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast and were pleasantly surprised at the level of quality and presentation. Dinner was reasonably priced for the quality of the food. The breakfast buffet well stocked and the waitstaff very attentive.

"Reasonable hotel, but watch out for the Internet"
This hotel is very convenient if you're visiting one of the organizatoins in the business park across the way. It's a pleasant stroll to the village of Daresbury, the birthplace of Lewis Carroll. The staff was courteous and helpful in the face of very poor internet service. The Sunday night dinner special and the breakfasts were uninspiring.
"Overpriced and dirty"
Peanuts on the floor in the room and a crusty stain on the sofa bed. We realised when going to bed there was only a sheet on the sofa bed so phoned reception for a duvet at approx 10:30pm as it was quite cold that night. We didn't get the duvet until 11:30 after a second phone call. Noise from plumbing. Overall standard of room was just like a budget […] hotel, but at double the price and dirtier. Breakfast was OK, had nice pastries. Read more

"De Vere VILLAGE Daresbury Park Warrington"
Not what I would expect from the De Vere name and not what I expect from a 4* hotel. Room was old and tired - particularly bathroom where even the overflow pipe to the bath appeared to be missing or broken - as I discovered AFTER my bath! Breakfast was so-so but food quality not up to scratch. Don't think I shall be going back.
"The De Vere Village Daresbury Park, Warrington"
The hotel itself was very good & comfortable, however, the service in the resturant was shocking !!! I was with customers & I had to wait for ages for any service !! In the end we left after 2.5 hours !!

"De vere?"
It was ok but not up to the standard you would expect from a de vere branch of hotel. The worst part of the day was the breakfast dis-organised, dirty plates and bad food.
"Village De Vere Hotel Chester Road"
The staff were very pleasent and refreshing to find they smiled a lot and went that extra distance to ensure they provided good service. There was a slightly musty smell in corridoor en route to bar / dining area which could have been allayed with air freshners that are available today. Pool is small but adequate but breakfast was a nightmare at peak […] time. No juice, no bread, etc clean cutlery kept where dirty dishes stored and long queues. Good large room, clean, with little touches that made it relaxing. Having the right staff for the job certainly helped. Read more
"Pleasant hotel but I think the staff need training"
The hotel itself was very pleasant, the room comfortable and the quality of the food more than satisfactory. Whilst the staff were very friendly the service wasn't quite up to scratch. Eating in the restuarant in the evening (when it wasn't particularly busy) we were left waiting to order for near ten minutes and again waited sometime for the bill. […] The following morning at breakfast was a shambles. Despite it not being at all busy due to the speed it was taking staff to clean tables new arrivals ere being asked to sit in the lounge and wait for tables to free up. When inside plates, bowls etc were hard to come by as was the one person pouring tea/coffee who simply walked around the restaurant rather than asking people if they wanted any. I will stress again though the staff themselves were very friendly which took the edge off and I would give the hotel a second chance in the future incase it was simply a case of new staff. Read more
"De Vere Daresbury"
The hotel looks well presented on the outside and in the reception the modern look to the hotel gives the impression of a modern feel. The hotel is easy distance of Daresbury and a great pub called the Ring a Bells which had good pub food and beer to go with it. We had a standard room but at this stage the experience started to go into free fall. […] The rooms are well presented but have no air conditioning a fan was the only method of keeping cool. We requested a refund but was refused. I will not be staying at this hotel again. For the standards I expect from a De Vere, I would not reccommend staying here during any hot weather as you would be coolier sleeping in a tent. Read more

We want to thankyou for a lovely weekend break away. As it was our first wedding anniversary on the Sunday / It was the ideal rural location and easy access for Chester Manchester and Warrington. Hotel staff more than helpful, Breakfast was excellent abundant choice. Room was really comfortable and short of nothing. House keeping more than helpful Thankyou […] very much Read more
A comfortable bedroom with excellent breakfast menu marred by the cold shower experience - not pleasant especially with a fixed head shower in a basically dated looking bathroom. What made it worse was the assurance that the problem had been resolved only for the same unpleasant surprise the following morning !
"nice hotel but no air con"
the hotel itself was very nice, the staff friendly and food good. the gardens were very well kept. the room itself looked nice, the bed however was very springy, as a light sleeper i woke p everytime my partner moved. it was a hot weekend when we stayed and the room was very very hot the window only opened a couple of inches and there was no air con, […] i therefore was far too hot and could not sleep, so if your visiting in summer ask for a north facing baedroom!
