Cape Point Hotel - West Yarmouth

While this is no Ritz Carlton, that's not what you're paying for on the Cape. Aside from that, "good" and "great" are relative terms - but the simple things are what matter. Friendly staff that took care of every one of our requests, made all the difference in the world. We will certainly stay here again, and hope the most success comes their way.

My stay was satisfactory. I would say that overall the hotel was nice except it was dated. I had traveled here many times in the past and had been about ten years since my last visit and updates lacked. It's a typical Cape hotel. The big complaint is that the room, which had a permanent non-smoking sign on the door, smelled like someone had been smoking 2 packs a day in there for the past 20 years, and then they just sprayed a lot of room deodorizer to cover it up. Nice little hotel with basic rooms. The pool area is big and sunny. The staff was very nice. I just wish I had known that is was "winter luau weekend" or whatever it was because it was teeming with children which made my boyfriend too uncomfortable to use the pool.

We were given a room which faced the parking lot and did request a room change and one was given without any trouble. Those are the worst rooms and should be reserved for last minute walk ins in my opinion. When I checked out my bill was wrong, but they straightened it out, but could not explain what had happened. Overall a good place to stay, clean and cared for. For the price, there is an indoor and outdoor pool which is good. If you can get a room facing the yard it is nice. Im not too comfortable to talk about that but I have to. I brought with me all my make up and I put on the sink's countertop. First night I used my powder from MAC. In the following night I couldnt find it anymore I thought that maybe it was mixed up with my mess then when I get back home maybe would find it. I got back home I looked for in all my things […] and I could not find it . I was thinking myself If I have used in the first night and afterwards disappeared is because someone caught it. In the room was only me and my boyfriend. I can buy another one of course but , what really annoys me is things disappear like that. We enjoyed our stay at the Cape Point Hotel. Staff was courteous and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool, hot tub and sauna were such a bonus! It was close to what we wanted to see and do. The Acapulco Restaurant nearby had good family fare that was reasonably priced. We would stay at this hotel again.

Staff @ front desk was pleasant but made me wait to finish her personal call, while her associate tried to look busy on the computer.
