It was about 10 euros for a taxi to the restaurants on the beach, and little more to get to the airport. Our room was quiet and clean. 10 minutes away from downtown Barcelona but perfect for the car travalers, parking is free and location near highway. Staff spoke good English, room was clean only one disadvantage- absent of coffee maker in the room.

The hotel staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. When I had a special request to accomodate my ill wife, we were quickly accomodated. The room was clean and comfortable, and had a great view of a nearby artificial lake. We selected the hotel because we believed it was close to the airport and it had a swimming pool. We loved the pool, even in October but were disappointed with location. For the most part, this place felt more like a US Holiday Inn Express than a European hotel... things like exterior, lobby design, room layouts, furniture, etc. Even the location, situated near a business park, just off a main highway exit and 10 min from airport felt like it. Rooms are good/spacious, but nothing extravagant. Breakfast, wifi, and parking […] are included, not surcharges. Prices are quite a bit lower because its a good 10 miles out of the prime tourist area. If you've got your own transportation, or don't mind walking to the nearby (5 min) bus stop or (15 min) metro stop, it can easily serve tourist needs. We had rented a car so it was a better choice for us to stay outside of Barcelona. This hotel is close to shopping and beaches. The location isn't quite ideal for commuting into Barcelona. The gentleman at the front desk had said that the train station was a 10 min walk. But in reality is was almost 20 min at least since we often aren't used to walking. The hotel itself was far from the center of town. It seems that this hotel was really accesible via car. The wifi didn't work […] in our room so I had to often times come down to the first floor. However, they had two computers available so that was good. The front loby itself didn't seem very friendly and inviting. Although it looked modern, it felt a bit sterile. They had I believe a buffet type restaurant for breakfast that wasn't included in the room price. And I felt it was too expensive so we had to wait until we got to the city to eat brunch. The decor in the room was modern. However, the bed in the room was very hard and stiff. There were not enough pillows and I had wished they had a thicker blanket since the room was cold and somehow we could not adjust the room temperature. Turning on the lights was a bit of a puzzle but we bumped into one of the employees cleaning the rooms and she said showed us that we had to slide the key into the wall and leave it in. The staff I felt weren't that friendly and often brushed us off if we had any questions. However, one of the receptionists happily called for a cab pick-up to the airport the day that we checked out. We stayed one night before our international early morning flight. We had already done all the things we wanted to do in downtown Barcelona- so this hotel was perfect for us. Close to the airport, out of the crowds, close to shopping mall and beach. Our room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and the AC worked great.

It is easily reached by L99 bus from the airport for 2 EUR. Exit just before police station. Ask the driver to let you know when to exit (police station). After you exit the bus, continue moving forward few hundred yards and turn left to a walk (road) railway overpass. Continue further until you will see the hotel on your left. It is about 10-15 minutes […] to walk. Railway station is about 25 minutes and the ride to the city is somewhere from 15 -30 minutes depending how many stops. The beach is only 15 minutes walk. I had a great stay, the safe didn't work, and the breakfast was accidentally not included despite I chose the higher rate. Hotels.com told me pay for it and send them receipt to be reimbursed. The hotel is kind of isolated and you can't do much by foot. It's close to the beach and to the airport but kind of far from Barcelona. Rooms are spacious and modern. The lighting system is kind of awkward and I got myself stuck in a dark room for a few minutes. This was a nice place to stay for one night, but it was too far from the airport which made an expensive taxi ride. The subway station was close enough if you knew which stop to get off. The room was very nice and there was a shopping center within walking distance.

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and a short 10 euro taxi ride will get you to the train....(to Barcelona) or right there in the city of Castelldefels. The lobby was decent. We stayed here on our last night in BCN. To get to hotel from train station was a 15-20 minute walk. 20 minute walk from nice quiet beach. We took taxi and not a shuttle to airport, because the shuttle was full and just as expensive, taxi cost 23 euro shuttle is 10 euro per person.

The hotel had very contemporary decoration and the rooms were rather hard and sparse. The beds were hard but everything was spotlessly clean. There was always someone at the desk who spoke a little English which was very helpful. The wifi was very slow and dropped completely often. The restaurant is really only a buffet for breakfast and lunch, extremely overpriced but since it came with the room we did have breakfast there. The coffee is the BEST! they also had juice, pastries, bread, cereals, meats and cheeses. The only hot choices were scrambled eggs and partially cooked bacon.....we ordered room service for dinner one night. They would not charge to the room but demanded cash. The food was pretty bad the the selection was limited to mostly tapas type dishes. The location was excellent for those with a car, right off the freeway exit. It was quite a distance into Barcelona so if sightseeing there is the goal I would not recommend staying at ACTA, We had a rental car and spent our time driving outside the city so for us it was great. The hotel was conveniently located off the C32 about 15 minutes south of the Barcelona Airport. Our room was large, comfortable, clean and nicely furnished. We stayed here for 1 night after our cruise. It was very clean and we were looking for a place to rest before our long trip back home. The hotel staff was very helpful. It was a Sunday night so the restaurant was not open for dinner that evening so took a taxi to the beach area. Overall it was a descent hotel, Don't go to the restaurant, way to expensive, and qualiyt of food not that great. The wiffi was free, but the ice cost 3 euros a glass?? The staff was friendly and helpful, I just kind of get the feeling the hotel tries to make up profits by overcharging you with the restaurant services and misc..

The hotel is about 9 KM west of the Airport and can be accessed to the nearby town of Castelldefels by a number 99 bus from the Airport (1.80 euros) to the Train Station. A taxi from there was less than 7 euros with luggage. The hotel is very clean and has 2 swimming pools and a restaurant on site. Buffet closes at 4PM, but a Shopping Mall with a large […] food court is only a 10 minute walk away. We had a water leak through the bathroom ceiling that started after check-in, but we were moved, with assistance, to a new room 2 doors down. The breakfast buffet was good, but a bit pricey. The shuttle for the Airport runs on the hour, but for 2 or more people, you are better off taking a taxi for virtually the same price and leave whenever you want. We were only at this hotel for one night - thank goodness. We booked a triple room and the room had two large double beds squeezed in so tightly that we couldn't approach the window or open the fridge door. The window catch was broken and the window wouldn't close, this was in February and it was quite cold. I asked reception if they had another room […] but was told that they didn't. I asked if they could fix the window and was told that someone would come to look at it - they never did. The hotel was outside of Barcelona but with such a great transport system, getting into the city centre was fairly easy and the train station was about 15mins walk from the hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious and the safes in the room were provided free of charge. The breakfasts were fine but nothing to get too excited about and we only went there […] for the convenience. It was great to have a short journey to and from the airport. We hired a car for the whole week but found we did not get a huge amount of use, largely because we couldn't work out where you were actually allowed to park. We had one day at Port Aventura which was well worth the visit and although it took a while to get there by car, it was a fairly easy journey (compared with British roads) but make sure you have enough cash for the plethora of toll booths along the quicker toll road. I really enjoyed the stay here and would happily return but if you want to spend every day of your stay exploring the city centre, a closer hotel might be more suitable. Read more
