Brimark Inn - Sioux Falls

Overall great value. Hotel has been redone and is clean and comfortable. Very nice breakfast included. The staff was very pleasant and accomodating.

Overall I thought the hotel was great! I usually don't write reviews but I was very pleased. Pros: fastest internet speed I've ever had at a hotel bar none (and I've been traveling for twenty years); rooms nicely remodeled; HD tvs; includes breakfast; comfortable bed and pillows; GREAT RATE! We found the hotel very comfortable. It has been completely updated. The continental breakfast was very good and served in pleasant surroundings. The front desk lerk was very friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.

Upon arrival the room was set at 80 degrees. Air Cond. did not work to lower temp. No remote control in room. Only one set of towels in bath. They offered to move us but after a long drive, I was tired and did not feel like moving. Staff was friendly.

Hotel newly renovated, comfortable beds, great staff, nice breakfast selection, a little further than I'd normally stay from 41st but for this price I'll drive a few miles!! Easy exit off interstate. My 4th time staying and I will continue to book here. :)

It is an older hotel, but all of the rooms have been re-done. All furnishings were new. Our room was just lovely. New carpet in all of the hotel. They had a really great breakfast and was open from 6:30-10. Most hotel breakfasts are only open until 9:00. Location was just off the interstate and very convenient. We stayed there on 03/15/13.

I booked the Brimark Inn on a whim because of the very nice reviews. For the most part, the hotel definitely lived up to expectations. Clean modern room, comfortable bed, decent shower (I'm particular about water pressure) and a top notch continental breakfast. What I was NOT impressed with AT ALL was the customer service I got when checking in. The […] desk employee Stu would not let me check in and threatened to not let me stay there until I divulged all my personal information which very much bothered me, chalking it up to the "owners preference". The room was prepaid and every OTHER hotel stay I booked through Hotels.com hasn't asked for anything other than a credit card for expenses. Unvelievable! We enjoyed our stay here very much. They were very helpful. I rated the comfort as a 4 instead of 5 only because the bed was too high for my short handicapped legs. The staff gave me a small step stool which helped a lot. However I must say that the comfort of the bed when you are on it is wonderful. It was one of the most comfortable hotel/motel beds […] I had ever slept in. We will definitely stay there again next time we stay overnight in Sioux Falls. It took us a while to figure out how to access the motel however since it is on a frontage road which is a bit difficult to remember where to exit Russel Street to access the frontage road. We missed the turn off almost every time we returned to the motel. The owners could make it easier if there was a sign posted nearer the actual exit so customers could find it easier. Still worth the effort. Very nicely renovated....I just remembered that the marble floor in the bathroom was a mistake however. Although beautiful it is a shock if you walk in there at night bare footed since the floor is very cold. Read more

The greatest issue with the Brimark is its unfortunate location away from other businesses. You really cannot walk anywhere else. However, it may also be its strongest asset if you just need a clean, comfortable place to lay your head for the night. The decor was fairly modern, obviously the product of a recent rennovation. This is the best "inexpensive" motel at which I have ever stayed. I've recently had to stay at a handful of five-star hotels on business, and Brimark (even though two stars) beat them all. Beautiful room, great continental breakfast, wonderfull staff. The motel has recently been remodeled/updated, and it's beautiful. I fear the low cost can't last.

The hotel was very reasonably priced, staff was courteous and helpful. We were stranded due to road closures and required a late check out. They did not charge extra for the checkout, and kept us informed of the road condition status. The breakfast was better than any we have had at more expensive hotels. We definitely would stay there again!

This is the second time we have used this hotel. Last time they were in the middle of the remodel and worked so hard to meet every one of our needs. Now with the remodel finished it is so charming. We felt very much at home and plan to keep using this hotel for future visits!

Great hotel for the price. Nothing fancy, but included all of the basic amenities (wi-fi, refrigerator & coffee maker in room, plenty of outlets to charge our electronic devices, clean bed, etc.) All of the staff members we interacted with were super friendly! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Sioux Falls area.

I did a lot of research before getting into the Brimark Inn and it was exactly the way described by the people. Wonderful and helpful staff including the manager Donna and Pam in the kitchen. Coming to room they were neat and tidy and everything was new I guess because everything was remodeled. The only thing i had problem was with their bathroom floors […] which was very cold although they provided floor mats and heating system is very poor as in it heats too much (guessing their thermostat was faulty) and the placing of vents was in such a way that it comes directly on to your face while sleeping. The man at the desk when I checked us in was very friendly and we had a good conversation about the Viking football game that was being played right then. Beds were good, room quiet and warmed up fast ... Nice complimentary breakfast, excellent biscuits & gravy and waffles plus. The shower in my room didnt work, had to take a bath, hard for me. Thick ice in parking lot. But overall comfortable for my short overnight stay. Close to airport and convention center. Very reasonable cost.

I actually stayed two different nights in different rooms at this hotel. The check-in process was fast and the clerk was friendly. The timer on the security doors is backwarsd as they are locked during the day but unlocked after dark. The room itself was clean and appeared to be newly remodeled. The bed was comfortable. There was a refrigerator in the […] room but no microwave. The carpeting was new and very comfortable to walk on. I didn't notice any external noise from other rooms, outside or the hallways which was very nice. The bathroom had marble floors which was very cold on bare feet in the middle of the night. The problem with this hotel is the plumbing which needs to be redone. In both rooms the tubs were slow drained. Both tubs did not transfer from tub to shower completely and in one it was very difficult to get the transfer at all. One bath room sink had no hot water as the knob was stuck. The other had no cold water even though it was a new sink. The cold water only trickled out of the faucet. The renovations seemed to overlook these important features. The waffles were good but the eggs and biscuits and gravy were not very good and the milk had been frozen and was chunky from ice in the box. I would stay here again if by myself but would look elsewhere if staying with a family as the plumbing problems would be hard to overcome with more than one or two people. I also liked the individual thermostat on the wall instead of a window heater/A/C unit. Read more
