Great hotel, but don't forget the daily $25 "resort fee" or the $29 required valet parking. Those add up fast, and are a bit annoying.

My family of 5 had a wonderful time staying at the Hyatt. The service was amazing, the view spectacular, beds were comfy, the only bummer is we couldn't stay longer. The pool was able to entertain all of us, from 10 years old to a 46 year old. The slides at the pool were smaller, so I would say from 4-12 year olds. Beautiful hotel with great service. Be warned that there is a mandatory $28 per day resort fee ("for wifi and spa access") not included in the room rate and parking is about $30 per night. Other than that, I was very happy to have had the excuse to stay here.

The stay was won wonderful. The only drawback is parking! Even with reservations, they charge an additional $30 a day, which you do not find out about until you valet park. Room was very nice, they first put us in a room that did not have an ocean view and we requested that so they did move us to a very nice room. We got room service for dinner and it was delivered hot and was very good! The staff was very nice, too. One of the maids came to our room and brought us our dinner, she was soooo sweet, we tipped her very nicely […] and she returned to thank us with a plate that had 4 large strawberries dipped in chocolate! Upon check-in we were greeted by the staff, with the doors held open and the friendliest staff! The room was a bit of a walk but totally worth it! The waterslides, pools, and fire pits to make smores were a hit with my 10 year old daughter. The grounds are tropical and beatiful. Everything that you would expect from the Hyatt is at this hotel. Although, there is a lot of noise on the far left rooms that face Beach Street. We also had a problem with finding vending machines near the far left end of the hotel. It would not take dollars -only coins?? We stayed at this hotel several weeks ago but our room was located in the center of the hotel-facing the main pool and experienced less noise, better veiw of the gardens and ocean. Even tough we had booked a garden room, we were placed on the second floor with a partial veiw of the ocean. Beautiful room/nice view. I noticed that the first floor rooms would not have much of a view -so ask for 2nd floor or higher. Food at the casual restaurant was so so. Lots of friends in the area and this was a great place to be while hanging out with them. So many pools and hot tubs. Free shuttle to the night life. Bridge to the ocean to avoid traffic. Plenty of space. Loved it.

My boyfriend had major hip surgery in Los Angeles. We stayed at the Hyatt for the weekend. He was on crutches and pretty laid up, but the staff was awesome, the pool was a great place to relax and the location can't be beat for fun in Huntington. Will stay there again.

Awesomeness!!! I stayed one night with my husband and 3 and 1 year olds. We got a room with 2 queens and it was extremely spacious. We even had plenty of room with the crib. The bathroom was also roomy. It came with a fridge too. Nice to keep milk for the baby! We played at the beach all day Saturday then checked in, got cleaned up and had dinner at […] Pete's. Yummy food! After dinner there was a band in the courtyard. The next day we checked our luggage with the bell desk and swam all day. It was a lot of fun... Multiple spas, 3 water slides, a toddler pool that was only 1 &1/2 feet deep and 2 more pools. They have BMW rentals on site and can arrange for surf lessons too. This place has everything! Horrible air conditioning, not enough towels in the room, and unorganized valet system! Very over priced! No prices on the room service menu. Our new go-to place!! On a weekday it took just an hour from Burbank to Huntington Beach - and when we drove home Friday night the drive was exactly an hour, too. It was like going to Hawaii - or another planet! We stay at the Hyatt in Huntington Beach two times a year for about one week each time. Service is fabulous -at the front desk, with the valet, housekeeping, restaurants, everything. Associates actually run to get to you if you are waiting! The pool is clean and mostly quiet except on particularly busy weekends, such as Labor Day. Weddings look gorgeous […] and well organized...and they don't "get in the way" of regular guests. Right across the street from the beach & walking path. The place is definitely pricey, but we've found that saving a couple of hundred dollars is not worth the often uncomfortable rooms, less friendly & helpful service, and longer walks to get places. The only downside is feeling like you need to tip the valet every time they get the car for you. It certainly isn't mandatory, but we just feel like we should give a couple of dollars. This adds up along with the "resort fee" if you take the car out even a couple of times a day. We won't stay anywhere else though. Read more
