We were very disappointed with Silvercreek Lodge. The room was freezing. There were no extra blankets and the heater made no difference because the room was so drafty. The ice machines were broken. There are so many places to stay in this area, choose a different one!

We checked in to a standard studio room for a quick overnight stay while on the way to some mountains further away. This was a much more inexpensive option than our final destination. There was a huge lobby with a bar, restaurant and game room attached. The room was a little out-dated, but clean and nice. It was great having a fireplace, full kitchen […] and patio. I would imagine this would be great for a long-term stay. My only complaint is that the sleeper sofa's springs and mattress were shot. Sleeping on that folded out was not especially comfortable. Also the numbers on the heat control had rubbed off, so you couldn't tell what the heat was set for. We never mentioned any of this to the front desk as it didn't affect our stay, so I'm not sure how it would have been dealt with. Read more

You get what you pay for... was clean enough for a few days, would recommend a loft on the 3rd floor, and would also recommend you look at a few options upon check in because some rooms have been redone and its like night and day... amenities could use some updating as well

After making the reservation, I read some bad reviews; so I was a little worried, but we were pleasantly surprised. The exterior and lobby area were quite attractive. Our room appeared to have been renovated somewhat with new carpet, attractive paneling, new bedspread, and cute rustic lamps. The hotel had many amenities, but they weren't all open. The indoor hot tub was nice, but the pool and outdoor hot tub were too chilly for us. The sauna was out of order. The staff was friendly and nice. The only problem was that our room was not quite ready for check in at 4:00. We went to the bar for half an hour, and then it was ready. They seem to be a little short-staffed at this point, but all in all it was a nice place and very conveniently located for the activities we wanted to do. Read more

Overall, the hotel is old, but clean; however, the pool area was dirty and very iced over (even inside.) None of the four hot tubs were functioning properly, there were no jets and the water in the bathtub was probably warmer. The pet policy allowed for MANY barking animals. Nice room, but tv didn't work no matter what we did, and front desk person didn't know how to help. Fooled with all the many remotes for a half hour, then gave up. Cold breeze comes in from outside. Had to change rooms the first night (after 10pm) due to paper-thin walls and the neighbors laughing and conversing rather loudly (not a pleasant task). The gal at the desk was very understanding and even said she would give me a credit (of some sort) for the inconvenience, although when I checked out 3 days later, a different gal at the desk said she […] could not make any compensation. The rooms are small and the bathrooms need more work (like some caulking) -- vice the crude pine trim around the shower/bath. The king bed was actually two, twin mattresses put together. Stayed one night during off season. The bar and restaurant closed For renovations so no breakfast. Staff was nice and courteous but on guy did get kind of snappy with us about the breakfast. Pool and "athletic club" could use a good cleaning but was a nice facility. I recommend the studio as opposed to the standard king. Hotel was accommodating after we arrived and found out expedia had made an error in the booking. It cost us an extra $34 a day but the Hotel was able to resolve the issue. No applause for expedia however! I do feel rooms were a little overpriced. I had to look for approx. 20 min just to find an ice machine. Overall, the complex appreared nice from the outside upon arrival. While the common spaces seemed updated & spacious, our 2 king sized bed rooms were small. These turnded out to be condo units. The first one's bathroom & furniture had been updated and was comfortable. My room had dated decor - based on the light & bath fixtures, I'm guessing from the […] eighties (complete with mirrored wall). I gave the place a bad rating for cleanliness because the tiolet seat was so old, the finish had multiple spider cracks in several places...this just can not be very sanitary. The room also lacked a blind or curtain for the picture window that overlooked the hotel's pond, driveway and main street so I had NO privacy what so ever. I mentioned both of these issues at checkout (even though the clerk did not inquire if I had enjoyed my stay). She didn't seem too concerned although a gentlemen near by who had heard thanked me for bringing the maintenance issues to their attention. The Murphy Bed and pullout sofa were different. I would say for the price this is a good buy, it's not close to Winter Park or Grand Lake but for 20mins of driving you're paying half of what you would in either of those places.

The hotel put me in a room just across across from where they were tearing up all the concrete from the road outside. From 6:30am til 6:00pm all I heard was the crashing of concrete into the dump trucks and the beeping of trucks backing up.

After checking in from a 280 mile motorcycle ride, we discovered the room was NOT big enough for a king size bed and 2 people to stay in and had NO A/C system. Had to open the balcony door and window and get the box fan to pull outside air in to try and cool the room down to at least 90 degrees. No breakfast is also another amenity as well as road construction […] and a one way road to the hotel which makes you drive an additional 2 miles on a gravel road to get back to a main road. This is a bad place to stay. The outside entry door to the hotel keypad is broke and it seems to be in a money bind. Its outdated and the bed comes off the wall.I have never stayed in a more poorly ran place. As soon as we entered the room we found a dirty face towel on the floor. The TV was a old 1980 Magana box, the stations we tried to watch had static, very annoying. The room was small and needed to be updated. The best part was the dinner, very affordable and our waitress was very pleasant and helpful.

I had super low expectations for the Inn at Silver Creek, based on other ratings and its location. My boyfriend and I were beyond pleasantly surprised by the size of the hotel, the bar (which stayed open late), ease of parking, cleanliness of the room, the back deck off the room, and the location. Hotel hot tubs : jets did not work and temperture was not regulated. Toilet and sink linked in the room. Television came with a VHS. No Ice Machines in building. Placed could be great with some up grades and maintenance.

Some reviewers have been overly negative about the age and condition of the hotel. Yes, it's older and the elevator creaks a bit, and the tub has stains, but it was perfectly adequate if you're looking for a nice hotel while skiing. The hotel reminded me of the hotel featured in the movie "Hot Tub Time Machine" it was probably a happenin place back in the day but after 20+ years of age it is time for some renovation. I was thankful we were at the end of the hall with a corner unit, because we could hear the conversations of people walking down the hall, and if more would have been […] passing our room it would have been very noisy. I was un-happy with the noise from the room above, we could hear every step they made and in the morning it sounded like they were walking around in ski boots! This was particularly un-welcome since it was at 7:00 am and my wife and I did not have to wake up with our 2 year old son who was visiting his grand parents for the weekend allowing us to get out of town. On the brighter side, the on-site bar and grille was nicely appointed, the food was lacking, my chicken was not cooked enough, and the Mac and Cheeze was straight from the Kraft box! But the Beer was cold and tasted good. I guess I shouldn't have expected too much from a last minute booking on one of the busiest weekends of the ski season, but would not reccomend this hotel to anyone unless you are assured you will not have neighbors or anyone staying directly above.
