My room was awful! Stains on the floor, musty smokey odor, lopsided bed, and a shower that is also a foot soaker because the drain was so clogged up! And this was not only my room! I was there for a conference and other rooms were the same.......just nasty! The hotel and room were very nice location was amazing. But we had issues with room service and maid service. Our daughter had broken a glass in the room by accident we picked up all the pieces we could and left it on a tray with a note to please vacuum the floor so no one got hurt, we got back to the room the beds were made the broken glass still on […] the tray and the slope not vacuumed. The room was decent and the beds comfortable. We were disappointed in the jacuzzi/pool area. The jacuzzi was half empty and way too hot. Also, it was not working when we first went down to use it and it took about 30 minutes for someone to come and fix it. I grew up in Virginia Beach and travel back a few times a year to visit family. Springtime on the strip with children not always a good idea. I thought staying north beach we would be removed from that scene. Not so. Most of hotel was booked to drunk college kids or young single sailors. Not the family trip I had in mind. Had to call security twice. […] Once for "kids" drinking in the hot tub the other because I was woken at 2:45 by someone who banged on my door mistakingly while looking for the party next door! This hotel is definitely not worth paying $100 or more per night. If you arrive after 9p good luck talking to a knowledgeable staff about restaurants in the area. You have to check in from a different building from which your staying. Once I opened the room door it had a "musty" or old basement smell. The bathroom sink had had hair that wasn't mine […] in it and the ceiling paint was peeling. For this to be an oceanfront hotel I was disappointed at the minimal accommodations. This hotel is no where near the boardwalk or the strip. You have to drive an additional mile if you want food or activities. Nice Hotel, In a residential ocean front area which is nice and quiet. This hotel does allow pets which is a plus and good to know for future reference. Restaurant was good, excellent French toast. We had reserved an ocean front room but got bumped to an ocean view due to overbooking. Even though they offered an "upgrade" to a larger room there were only two of us so we did not need the extra space and the room was not what we expecting.

We stayed here during the Shamrock Half Marathon and the service was great for runners. Staff wore race tee-shirts, shuttle service was offered to and from start and finish and we got a free breakfast to go before the race. We felt very welcomed.

The room was clean, nicely decorated and in good condition. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. The shower was hot and the water pressure was great. The pool and hot tub were OK. The pool area is becoming a bit run down with rust and water damage. It not awful but needs some attention. I was very disappointed with the hotel. I didn't get an ocean front but an oceanview as requested. One of the beds were broken off the frame and half way on the floor. The hotel is in need of a makeover in the room we stayed in furniture wise. The hallway smelled moldy and the ice machine 3rd floor was broken but was running. The front desk staff was nice however I checked into my room to find blood on the sheets. I upgraded to a oceanfront room and the room was rather clean besides the sheets but it took thrm anout sn hour to bring new sheets after i called. My extended family and I stayed at this hotel for two nights for my son's college graduation. The hotel's overall condition is ran down and dirty. We had to move from our first room because as soon as you opened the door, there was an overwhelming smell of urine. As if that wasn't enough, there were hair strands in the bed sheets, the toilet had a pinkish […] fungus along the waterline and overall condition of the room was very dirty. The room they moved us to was not much better but at least it did not smell like a urinal. Other family members requested to be moved from certain rooms too due to the same types of problems. The air vents in the hallways where caked with gray dirt, the carpets throughout needed vacuuming and were stained and there was missing and crumbling tile along the walls. I could go on. This hotel is definitely not a 3 star hotel. I would rate it as a 1.5 at best. Very disappointed and if we hadn't had quite a few family members including elderly folks with us and a packed schedule, we would have left late that Friday night to have found cleaner accommodations. This is the second time I've booked a room at this hotel. The first time, the desk clerk was accommodating and changed my room after I was unhappy with the first. That room was o.k. The second time, I had booked a room a few years later and realized my mistake when I arrived on site. I checked in anyway. When I opened the door to my room I was not happy […] at all.
