The only bad thing i can say is that the breakfast downstairs was incredibly overpriced! $25 for a buffet in which there were not too many choices, they only had 3 hot dishes, 1 in which was finished and I asked if they could restock, in which they never did!!! other than that!!!! the hotel was amazing!!! i highly reccomend this hotel!!

This is a very nice hotel, but once we checked in we quickly found out that this is a party hotel. A room a couple of doors down from us quickly filled up and spilled out into the hall with about 30 or 40 people all drinking and having a good time. Once we complained to the hotel they did quickly come up and disbanded the party. But later, after the bars closed the party quickly returned. Again the hotel responded to the noise complaint and had the quest not staying in that room leave. I think if you a looking for a happening party spot this might be the hotel for you. Otherwise, you might want to try a different hotel.

We've grown rather fond of the Westin brand, but occasionally consider staying at other premium hotels (if they offer a better deal.) We did shop around, but decided the price difference was not large enough to sway us away from Westin... and as an added bonus, this Westin allowed small pets, so we took our little dog along. The staff were polite, and helpful, the lobby was elegant, and it smelled great (Westins always do). The service was excellent, quick, and on target. The room was perfect, and the heavenly bed and bath were... heavenly. Why would you stay anywhere else?

Reviewed by Kathy of Kapaa on Jan 18, 2009
I came for a "girl's weekend" since the hotel is right by fabulous shopping and has a Spa in the hotel The hotel is very clean and nice with great service, but not the kind of hotel ambiance that makes a girl feel like she is having a special weekend. So I personally was a little disappointed. If the ambiance at this price is not important to you, then this is a perfect place to stay for shopping and dining. I ignored another reviewer's advice about making reservations, and I was sorry. I went to 4 restaurants that I could walk to and they all had a 2 hour wait. I managed to find one that I was able to get into more quickly, but it was my last choice and I was considering just going back to my room and getting room service. I did order room service for breakfast as there is not much in this area to walk to for breakfast. I just bit the bullet and paid the money. The "Heavenly Shower" is a nice two head shower in a regular hotel bathtub. So not that fancy. So for a business traveler, conference attendee, or shopper this is fine. But if you want a fun girl's weekend out, I would get something else.

The hotel is everything you expect from a Westin. As other reviewers have noted, that does mean an additional charge for extras that some hotels include, but that is pretty much the norm for hotels in this class, so I don't count that against them. As for location, this is THE location in Bellevue. It is connected to plenty of great restaurants and shopping via a set of unmarked doors on the third floor that exit out to to Lincoln Center. A skybridge from there acesses Bellevue Square.

Overall, was a great hotel in a great location. 2 problems: their internet service was down almost all of 3 day stay with no sense of urgency to get it fixed! (never was fixed during my stay which is inexcusable for a business hotel). They also charge $25/day parking when their competitor (Hyatt Bellevue) on top of the same garage has free parking on weekends. $25/day is too expensive and adds up to a big part of your bill.

I think the shower, alone, is worth the visit. My girlfriend and I stayed there as a "stay-cation" and loved it. We had stayed there before and decided to not even look at other properties, as the Westin is great. Their Heavenly Shower is amazing. The bed was comfy, the view was nice, the room service was great. It has a great central location in downtown Bellevue. It is a new hotel, so it does not have any of the wear and tear of older places. The only downside is that Trader Vic's is gone (but that has nothing to do with the Westin, so no points lost).

Many reviews question the quality of service at this hotel, and from what heard around town when it first opened the service was low. When I stayed they seemed to have listened to those reviews because my experience was drastically different. Everything I would expect staying in a high end hotel. Each employee greeting you, ask about your day and if the stay was going good. They even called the room when we checked-in to verify if the room was to our liking. I did notice they charge for every little thing . . . room service seemed a bit expensive with added fees, but there are plenty of places to eat around the hotel so we decided to go out.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Bellevue Westin but what really bothered me about my stay was the price for all the extras. I would have ordered room service for my meals but instead I went to a Whole Foods nearby for their buffet. The prices were unreasonable, which was to be expected but then they added a 20% mandatory charge and a $3 delivery fee. I went elsewhere simply out of protest. Also, I had to pay seperately for wifi access and that was not cheap in comparison with other providers. I would expect a building, especially this one that claims to be part of an "experience" to provide this at no cost to it's guests. Aside from this, the room was very clean and extremely comfortable. I would definitely go back to this hotel but only if I could find a better rate. By the time taxes where added in, I could have gone elsewhere and enjoyed the air conditioning I went in there for. I liked it's location more than anything else.

My only disappointments were the cost of parking and toll-free phone calls. Unfortunately I was there during the American Airlines MD-80 fiasco so had to make 32 calls to AA to see rebook my flight. I was unpleasantly surprised to see my bill upon check-out included over $40 in charges for toll-free calls. Westin graciously refunded my parking when I explained the situation, but how can they justify charging for toll-free calls?
