Hilton Garden Inn Chicago/Midway Airport - Chicago

I really enjoyed myself. The hotel met my needs. The only thorn in my side was they didn't offer "continental breakfast". But I think the Chicago area is all this way and it is a way I'm not used to.

Great hotel. Service was great. My shower head was broken and I told the receptionist and it was replaced before I made it back to the hotel. Very clean. Awesome beds and pillows. Traffic is horrible!! I know this is not the hotels fault but make sure you allow plenty of time to travel on the main road. It was bad at all hours!

My boyfriend and I came to Chicago for vacation. Our first 3 nights we stayed downtown to be close to the city and all if the major tourist attractions. The last 2 we stayed at the Hilton garden inn @ midway. What we were missing in location of being in the city, the Hilton made up for it in customer service, cleanliness, and complimentary shuttle service […] to Midway airport. You are able to catch the train (orange line to the loop and into downtown). It was a nice end to our trip. The indoor jacuzzi was great to have after all day of walking and touring downtown. The water pressure in the shower was adequate. Free wi-fi is always a plus. There was a thunderstorm that was passing through that caused the satellite tv to be temporarily interrupted, ( the boyfriend was bummed about missing the ESPN highlights) but that was the only thing that didn't go our way. We decided to stay here because we couldn't find a reasonably priced room close to Michigan Ave. The drive was about 20 min which was reasonable. Hotel room was clean and nice. Pool was cold but hot tub was nice. Wish our breakfast was included in the price but it wasn't. But we did pay the $12 a person and it was very much worth the price. Choose this hotel due to its location near a friend. Far enough away from the Chicago traffic, yet still close enough if we wanted to go into the city. Staff was very friendly and kept the hotel very clean. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is next to Midway in Chicago so it was convenient and a reasonable price for a very early morning flight. There aren't many restaurants close by. I only saw a McDonalds, a pizza place, and TGIFriday.

Really enjoyed our short stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpul and the room was comfortable and clean. The in house restaurant is someone limited and we elected to have dinner next door at the Marriott (Dempseys), which had a nice dinner menu.

Almost no choice for dining, but the hotel's dinner cook raved up very decent home style cooked food that was prepared perfectly. Breakfast was chaotic. The hotel was sold it and there was inadequate staffing.

My only comment was that we were given one smoking room when we requested both to be non-smoking. Nice hotel, pleasant staff, grounds are well kept. It was close to midway airport and I didn't hear a single plane! Great shuttle to midway to catch the orange line to downtown. Breakfast buffet is 11.95, a bit pricey in my mind, but big variety of food.

This is a nice hotel. Close to Midway Airport with several resturants within walking distance. The suttle bus is good and runs about every 20 minutes. Good value and very handy.

I've never stayed in a Hilton Garden Inn before but the experience at the HGI Midway was great. Room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful including the staff in the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was also great. Definitely recommend this place to any type of traveler. Great place for a layover.

Although the hotel primarily was used just for sleeping and bathing, it was more than adequate. The location was excellent as my mother resides across the street. I very likely will lodge there during my next visit.

The hotel is located 10 minutes from Midway and the Orange line via free shuttle bus. It is located in a cluster of 6 other major hotels. There were many flight crews staying at all of the hotels. The grounds were kept beautifully as was the hotel itself. The staff was super friendly. A great stay!

Staff were fantastic and very friendly. Spent 4 nights, location was OK as you can get a courtesy bus to the Midway Airport and then the Orange train into the city (1 hour travel). Next time may stay in the city it self.

All good but if you're considering a stay, we found two disappointing things. They charge way too much for overnight parking. Also, the breakfast was good but overpriced. I spent too much for an adult and a child breakfast.

Not where you want to be to see Chicago.... but a good hotel for an early morning flight from midway. Good, clean bed and acceptable location in hotel grouping... the shuttle leaves from this hotel every 20 minutes and appears to be first in the lineup of hotels in the complex.
