The customer service here was amazing - from the room service delivery person being incredibly kind to the maid service looking up and saying "Hello" every time you pass someone - everyone was incredibly nice. "Not the best downtown option"
The hotel location is in the downtown area, but not really near any desirable spots. The noise from the traffic on I-4 and the trains are fairly horrendous. Stayed two nights and did not receive housekeeping service one day. "Not what I expected"
When I first arrived I was given the wrong room however I didn't realize it until the next morning. The staff quickly corrected the mistake and switched my rooms. I feel that all rooms should be equipped with a fridge. I am a diabetic and I carry medication that needs to be refrigerated and the room I was initially put in did not have a fridge so I […] had to leave my medications out. I also feel that the location of the hotel was out of the way and not necessarily in a good neighborhood. I also felt that the room I stayed in, the room I had reserved, has small and did not match what I was paying for it. Went here for Valentine's Day with my girlfriend and the stay was amazing. "Don't Use the Bathroom"
Extremely strange to have an open air window from the bedroom to the bathroom. After an incredible night out, I got to have my girlfriend listen to all of my bowels the next morning. We were in downtown Orlando for business and extremely exhausted from driving up from Miami. The hotel was very clean and our standard room with L shape coach was very spacious. We left our iPhone somewhere from valet to the free shuttle they offer every half hour. The valet woman found it and brought it to where we were. My girlfriend got re-routed to Orlando on a late night flight. So I drove from Tampa and needed a room and wanted one near downtown Valet was great; Put my car upfront while I took a quick shower. Toilet broken, close to the highway, they have balcony doors but all are locked shut...were in florida and not even a door or window to open. "Great spot for Bowl game"
Room was very nice, the L-couch was great for watching TV, napping, and the it was a pullout sleeper as well. The free shuttle left every 1/2 hour and would take us anywhere within a couple miles of hotel, this was GREAT since cabs seemed a little expensive in Orlando. Shuttle drivers were awesome and very courteous, even gave us suggestions on places […] to eat. Front desk staff was very helpful -- I was trying to print my boarding passes for an early flight and another person was using the complimentary workstation (for a very long time), I told the front desk and they let me use one of their computers at the desk (not in use) to print out my boarding pass -- very helpful!! The hotel was easy to get to, although the valet parking was expensive as typical, there was a shuttle to all of the downtown sites. We did wish it ran later given the late night city life. Got this room through Expedia. The hotel is right off I-4, which is good news and bad news. The good news - easy to find. The bad news - noisy. The guy who checked us in was friendly and accommodating. The woman who checked us out was not, although, in her defense, it busy at the desk and she was by herself. The elevator was scary. "Average hotel, great location."
First I would like to say that I've stayed at this hotel once before and it was a nice experience. This time around, not so much. I understand that there was an event going on and the staff tried to accommodate everyone in the best way possible, but I got a room on the 2nd floor with a broken ac unit. It took me literally 3 times to call the front desk […] before they sent someone up. When the maintenance guy came up, he opened up the unit and said it was frozen and that we should leave the ac at 75 until it worked again (Assuming that we were the ones who turned it all the way down). We were without ac for the whole 2 days that we were there! How uncomfortable was that? VERY! The hotel staff should've checked all the ac units and made sure they are put back at a certain degree before new guest arrive. I asked for a new room and was told that every room was booked, which is understandable, so they offered to not charge me for 1 of the 2 cars for the 2 days that i stayed there. Couple days later, I checked my bank statement, they still charged me for both cars for both days. Therefore, I will not be staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel again. We stayed two nights at this location and it was the worst experience ever! We had two rooms. Between the two rooms we had three adults and not one of us got any sleep. The I-4 traffic was so loud that with horns and semi's blowing by all hours of the night that it was simply impossible to sleep. We called down for a floor fan to attempt to block out […] some of the noise and the hotel does not have any. That is a huge mistake because for that reason alone, I will never book a room at this location again. If you have a property with a particular problem, you should do everthing within your power to make customers as comfortable as possilbe. When I called the front desk they did tell me that I should have earplugs and eye mask on the bed in a "welcome" bag...which should be called "good luck trying to sleep" bag. From the moment we pulled our car up to register I knew this was going to be a great visit. The valet drivers were very courteous and engaging. The front counter staff were equally as friendly. We were taken to our room that was absolutely gorgeous with it's upgraded furnishings. The view was of I-4 and surprisingly, the traffic noise was not an issue. Plan to have parking issues, there is not an obvious way to enter the parking lot. Only after being confronted with secured arm will you realize that you need to reverse go back to the entrance, get out of your vehicle and ask someone to open the gate for you. The room and cleanliness was great however the service was far from acceptable. The front desk gave us brochures for local food places. We ordered pizza from Paninos over the phone and paid over the phone with a credit card. When the pizza arrived the delivery man said we did not pay yet and wanted the credit card again. The delivery guy then took a […] picture of the credit card with his phone claiming he needed it to process payment. We called Paninos and they would not help us. We called the front desk and they said they couldn't help us claiming they were management and still couldn't help us. How can you give us brochures for places in town that do business the way Paninos did?
