Mike at the front desk was very helpful and answered any questions fully. The room was quite dated and the carpeting worn. However, the pool was scary, with an unnatural green colour that we were hesitant to enter. I was was told that it was because the bottom needed re-surfacing but it was still open for use in this condition. There were no towels […] in the area of the pool or hot tub. The staff was friendly and accommodating - even at 1:00 am when we arrived. I had requested a crib with linens already put on the crib and when we arrived everything was as I had requested. Very pleasant stay. The hotel is nicely kept and clean. It's a Super 8, so it's no Ramada or even a Comfort Inn, but the price was right, it was very clean (more important than anything else in my opinion) and comfortable. The pool area was nice as well. For a 2 star hotel and Super 8, this was a great hotel to stay at. The people working the front desk were nice. They had no problems with us needing extra towels and answered any questions we had. Our room was clean and the window faced a nice wooded area. They had a basic continential breakfast that was good. A woman had spilled her coffee and a girl […] came and cleaned it up right away. "Great value for your money"
We arrived exhausted in Grayling at about 10:30. The hotel is easily spotten from the highway, and very easy to access!! Check in was quick, and we were in our rooms by 10:45. The hotel staff was efficient and friendly. The room was clean, and equipped with basic necessities, as well as a mini fridge. "Pool Hours"
Hotel was nice and clean. Got in late and the kids got up early to used the pool. They were disappointed they could not. The Hotel rents the pool out to the public and there were a number of seniors standing around in the pool drinking coffee (which is also not supposed to be allowed). Part of my objective was to be close to Hartwick Pines for an early morning experience amidst the old growth forest; the Grayling Super 8 is located a very short trip from the State Park, and allowed us the opportunity for some bird watching at the nearby Houghton and Higgins Lake areas.
