This is the 2nd time I stayed at this hotel. The first time the room was modern and more updated than the normal Travellodge standard. Overall i was pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable the hotel property and room was ! The housekeeping staff was absolutely top notch! although i was unprepared for the 260.00 deposit it was just a minor inconvenience. I would still definitely recommend this hotel.

Wanting to walk across the border the next day, I decided to stay somewhere close to the border. Imagine my surprise when the third-cheapest hotel in the entire San Diego area was a mile from the border and had a good rating on Hotels.com! I arrived late at night after a flight and proceeded to my room and was surprised to find a very clean, well-appointed, […] and comfortable room. The room was a tad cozy--the king-size bed took up most of the space, but there was plenty of room to walk around the bed, and there was room for a sitting chair and table next to the bed and a work desk opposite. A standard (not HD) TV was on a dresser containing an in-room fridge. The bed was exceptionally comfortable with some neat pillows that cradle your head--I'd like to obtain some of those pillows for myself! Breakfast was included; although the breakfast area was a bit crowded when I went down, I did grab a bowl of cereal and take it back to the room to finish it. I've stayed here several times for convenience and price. Customer services is no that great, the owner is just plain rude, answers with no enthusiasm and a grouchy face.
