PURAVIDA Resort Blau Porto Petro - Mallorca Island

The hotel sits on the headland overlooking the picturesque harbour of Porto Petro and two pretty calas which are pleasant for swimming (though the hotel also has three excellent outdoor pools). The grounds are extensive, the views from the main hotel building spectacular, and it's only a 5-minute stroll down the hill to the waterfront with its many […] bars and restaurants, so it really is a 5-star location. The hotel architecture is rather functional and the rooms are bland but well-appointed and comfortable. We had a junior suite in the creatively named Building 2 which I can recommend as it's only a short walk from the main building and faces west. The air-conditioning in our room worked, but not to the temperature I would have liked, so it was just as well the nights weren't too hot while we were there. I also found it difficult to see into the wardrobes, which were deep and dark! The members of staff we encountered were friendly and efficient. It's worth noting that the indoor pool is a lot smaller than it appears in the photos, and there's a notice up stating that it's for spa treatments, not for swimming. However, we were told that one of the outdoor pools is heated in winter. It was very peaceful and relaxing (even when 300 people arrived for a conference!) and w'ed certainly go back at this time of year. Read more

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at this hotel and I would highly recomend it. The staff are very helpful and the hotel is very well maintained. The only slight negative this year is that there are no longer sun loungers on the beach, due to the beach being a public beach and the hotel are no longer allowed to put sun loungers on there. Für ein 5-Sterne-Haus ist der "Wohlfühlfaktor" bei uns nicht so hoch gewesen wie man sich das wünscht: mit unserem Son (3 J.) durften wir nur von 10.00-13.00 h in den Innenpool, da es sich um einen sog. Spa-Pool handelte. Das ist so nicht auf der Homepage des Hotels erwähnt und für Familien ganz ungünstig. Wir haben den Hotelmanager darauf hingewiesen. […] Wir hatten Ameisen im Zimmer- nur ein paar, aber auch am letzten Tag krabbelte noch die ein od. andere im Zimmer trotz Hinweis an die Putzfrau. Für die Badetücher brauchte man Karten. Da wir an einem Tag wg. des weitläufigen Geländes auch trotz vergessener Karten Handtücher geliehen hatten, wurden uns diese mit 20,-€/Stück auf die Endrechnung gesetzt, was dann wiederum ein Gespräch nötig machte bis dann die 40,-€ gelöscht wurden... Vi bodde här i mars, två vuxna och två barn, men var inte särskilt imponerade. Ett stort komplex som för visso säkert känns mer tilltalande under högsommar då det går att utnyttja det till fullo. Trots att vi bodde i en svit och det var långt ifrån fullbelagt saknade det finessen som ett 5 stjärnigt hotell bör ha. L'Hotel è bello e posizionato molto bene, sul mare all'interno di una pineta e con grandi spazi comuni. Da segnalare il ristorante principale con splendida vista sulla baia. Servizio e ristorazione sono buoni anche se non eccellenti. La zona e lo stesso Hotel sono molto tranquilli e non offrono nessuna alternativa alla vita di mare.
