"OK for short stay only and few amenities"
As its name suggests, Budget Motel means budget. You get what you paid for. If you are looking for a place just to sleep at a low cost compared with other hotels near by, then this is it. There is NO WIFI. There is no shampoo and hair conditioners that you'll find in most other hotels. You get your basic clean towels, couple bars of soap, and clean […] sheets. There is no evidence of any bugs or pests. The building is old so the room is larger than typical. There is a refrigerator and microwave so that was nice. The TV is probably a 32 inch but because it is located on the dresser at one corner of the room and the bed on the opposite sides of the room, the size of the TV looked small lying on the bed or the couch. The water was nice and hot for showering. The bed mattress was too firm. My body, even though I weigh 180 lbs., did not sink low enough to allow the mattress to conform sufficiently to support my lower back. Needless to say, my back was OK after the first night, but it became sore after the 2nd night. The lights over the night stands did not work. It was a nuisance but since there were other lights available, I could do without. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"I would recommend elsewhere"
Inside looked like it needed a lot of work just to make it semi respectable. Lots of places had repairs that had been done perviously and were never painted, and great eye sores. The plugs were outdated with no grounds makes it hard to use for common electronical devices.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Motel from hell"
This place was terrible. I paid too much for a night sleeping on a disgusting dirty bumpy bed that gave me back pain. Only one channel wooed on the tv. The shower leaked and dripped all night long. The lock on the door did not feel secure. There was no coffee machine.Genuine Expedia guest review
From the outside the hotel looks like a bump, someplace that I would never want to stay, however, I was blown away by how nice, spacious and clean the room was. They need to do something to bring the outside up to the standards of the rooms.Genuine Expedia guest review
"maid service excellent"
The room was OK, however, the bathroom was run down. Toilet seat cracked on surface. The maid service kept bathroom very clean and always had clean towels, also kept room very neat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Yes it is cheap- for a good reason"
I was looking for an inexpensive Motel for a few nights-thought "how bad can it be" The old adage- you get what you pay for is personified by this Motel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I loved it here. Everytime I go to S.F I always stay here. Convinient for everybody. Great pizza place down the street the mall was walking distance. GREAT PLACE OVERALLGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Do not stay here. Disgusting!!!"
Absolutely the worst room I have ever seen. Water smells like a sewer and the carpet is nasty. Everything very very bad. Why is this place not condemned!?!?!?Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My stay at this hotel has been unpleasant.. First off thy took out our microwave and fridge plus the room was hot. Second the door wouldn't stay closed and when you go to the owner about it they do s sloppy job and it breaks again. There is mold all overthe walls in the bathroom and on the shower curtain.. Lastly when you ask for a non-smoking the owner […] looks like you said something wrong.. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
""Very old looking but comfortable""
The unavailability of wireless Internet was the most daunting factor. Staff was usually not in office although you could ring them at any time. Although the building was very old my room was clean and comfortable with extremely high ceilings and huge bathroom and closet space with good traditional bathtub setup. Suitable for long term tenants. Ample […] amount of electrical outlets with TV, microwave and fridge. Very far from looking like or being a luxury hotel (definitely a dive), but for $70 a night in California a great deal. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to the airport."
The hotel was perfect for my stay. Close to the airport, walking distance. Clean, big room, micro and fridge.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Scary place to stay,,never come back again"
The bathroom was very scary. It has a glass on the wall, that can see through the next room. I was constantly looking up to the glass and wondering if someone was peaking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Old and run down"
I am glad I was there only to sleep for a few hours!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The cleanliness was marginal and there was no service or amenities. The location was the reason the hotel was chosen as it was between the two locations that we had to attend. The manager was very nice but the housekeeper was very rude.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very scary appearance, poor upkeep, our room even smelled unclean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Just a Few Repairs"
All it would take would be a little paint and clothes hangars, towels fro the Dollar Tree etc. It needs some repairs that could easliy be done. If they would make these changes, I would stay there again. Bed slept good and it was quiet.Genuine Expedia guest review
It was cheap. I was in and out so no big deal. Prefer to have a place that is not in need of repair, a crummy TV with just a Spanish language station, no shampoo, or good enough light to have a shave.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The tub facet was leaking terribly, and the T.V. remote control was not working properly (only the volume control and the single advance channel changer button worked). If the T.V. was on channel 10, I had to bush the T.V. control button 98 times to get to channel 108, and I had to point the control with laser like precision. I was told by the front […] desk that it was functioning normally. I had to go to the store to buy shampoo. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The front door did not have a door chain. The air conditioning worked, but not properly. It is an old place, but I wasn’t discouraged by its looks, just that I expected some of the small comforts of a hotel to be met. "For least cost, sleep in car, shower fitness club"
They just don't care. The room was dirty. Stuff that is easy to fix wasn't. The deadbolt lock didn't work. You return your room key to an outside box where anyone can borrow and copy it. I will absolutely look at reviews from now on before paying for a hotel online. If you need a cheap sleep, go to SFO long term parking $10 on Airport Blvd in Burlingame […] between the Red Roof and the Hilton and sleep in your car. The diner at Red Roof is open 24 hours and so is their bathroom. In the morning go to 24 hr fitness in Millbrae and pay the day fee $15 to shower. They just don't care. I didn't have a good experience. Manager was real rude. Not satisfied. Not open 24 hours. Never pick up phone calls during the day, morning, and night.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pleasingly adequate for our needs"
If you keep your expectations low--as we did--and just need a place to park your belongings while you explore the city and/or prepare for a 7 AM flight out of SFO, you will be surprised at the adequateness of these accommodations. The room itself had very high ceilings (looking not unlike a middle school cafeteria). Bathroom is empty and cavernous […] and during our stay had soap only, so be sure to bring shampoo. Far cleaner than your average undergrad housing. Smell of some type of strong cleaner permeated the room. Would recommend if you are staying just for one night and are planning to spend the majority of your time out and about. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"WHAT A DUMP!"
This place is seriously overpriced, for what you get. The hotel buildings appear to have been converted from horse stables, built of cinder-block and strangely slanted roofs. They have not been cleaned or maintained in quite some time, and look shabby and rundown. The bathrooms have strange cupboards high up on the walls, which is very odd. The rooms […] are so-so clean, and not vacuumed; I left a scrap of paper on the floor, and it was there throughout my stay. The management is mostly (non) visible, and are not friendly nor welcoming. The front office REEKS of badly cooked Indian food that makes one want to vomit, or at least get some fresh air immediately. The room is filthy; the walls have not been painted or cleaned for ages. Most of the electric outlets are very loose; it is hard to get your phone charged in the morning. Everything is shabby and run-down, and looks as if it had not been renovated or painted or repaired in many, many years. The towels are threadbare and could be used to sand wooden boards, they are so scratchy. The walls are very, very thin; I could hear my neighbours in the middle of the night using the toilet. As for the plumbing, it is not very well fitted; every time someone else flushes, the shower water turns boiling hot. This place is NOT worth what I paid for it. They should have paid me to stay there. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"LOTS OF ROOM!!!"
There was so much room to move. Bathroom was huge and ceilings were high. I didn't feel cramped at all. A nice place to unwind. Close to the airport.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Okay - no extras."
The lack of internet service is an inconvenience. Where is the lobby with coffee as advertised? Okay for a very brief visit where you just need an overnight accommodation.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very very spacious for what I paid for!"
It's not the best looking place but there's just so much space...it's ridiculous...which is a good thing for me, by the way. Very quiet space and neighborhood...play in SF, eat out at the nearby Carl's Jr, and then snuggle in San Bruno with my best friend. 'Tis the good life.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel surrounding is very very dirtyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Cheap in the bay area"
It was cheap and it was close to a bart station, but thats all it had going for it. The place is clean, but really run down. The sheets had cigarette burns in them and the ceiling was literally buckling under the weight of water damage. If you need a place that is cheap and last minute, this is adequate, but not something I would recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A bit outdated..."
It was fine for a place for me to sleep...and thats about it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall pleasant stay. Desk person needs to learn some people's skills.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Do not go there!!!"
DISGUSTING! There is a hotel 1 block away from there that is the same price and is way better!!Genuine Expedia guest review
The rooms where drafty the beds hard and the pillows where flat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Budget Inn Stay"
The carpet was sticky and filthy. The chairs had what I hope was spilled food on them--gross. Bed was clean and I didn't get any bedbug bites. No obvious roaches. The microwave had a big hole in it. I was disappointed that there was only a shower--not a tub. It was quiet and for my purposes--just a place to sleep for the night--it worked out.Genuine Expedia guest review
"3 out of 5, for the Business Traveler!"
Clean hotel. Own shower. The Hotel itself was useful if all you really plan on doing in it is sleep. There was no wifi, something that I specifically asked for. Otherwise it was just a hotel room to sleep in. The TV seemed to have issues in that it turned on about an hour after I turned it off, I had to actually unplug it. Otherwise everything else […] was fine. Empty Fridge, Microwave in room. (I did not use them but they were there). Staff was nice though I did not really see them much. Location is a plus, on what seems to be a major bus route into San Francisco. Close to airport via the BART. Overall I give a 3 out of 5 for the hotel. I would use it again but mainly as a place to sleep. Not one to hang out in. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"you get what you pay for"
It worked as a cheap room, but the water smelled like eggs and was intermittely grey(lead pipes?) Very old and beat up. Good location though.Genuine Expedia guest review
Clean, cheap and surprisingly quiet given its by-the-airport location. It ain't the Ritz, but if you need a bed, you could do an awful lot worse.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Budget Hotel's rooms were shabby but clean on the inside providing a basic bar of soap, towels, basic bedding and tiny old TV. There was no bolt on the door. The room did include a fridge and microwave. The outside it was downright scary. The buildings were very shabby and the entrances were down a poorly lit alley.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Works for me"
Though the hotel requires some maintainance (especially front doors), rooms inside are pretty fine. Also I had some problems dealing with the plastic key (you had to apply some more effort to put it in, compared to a regular banding card), but personnel helped me out.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Just about Froze To Death"
This is a very Spartan hotel, but economical. I've learned to bring my own everything-- hairdryer, alarm clock, even backup toilet paper because they can be slow to replace it. I learned to sleep thru being in thexflighr path of SFO planes. The beds are comfortable, the rooms spacious, so it can be OK with a little planning. But NO HEAT when the temperature […] was dropping to 45-50F at night was too much. I couldn't sleep or get comfortable, and recommend that no matter how strict your budget, this is a poor choice in cold weather months. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"No heat! Very uncomfortable stay"
This is a very basic hotel; bring your own hairdryer, soap, shampoo-- even toilet paper isn't always replaced. But it's spacious and the bed comfy enough, and there is hot water, TV, lighting. BIG PROBLEM-- NO HEAT! It was a very cold week, dropping to 45F, and it was difficult to sleep. I spent time in the car, warming up with the car heater. I will […] not be back until spring. we just needed a place to sleep and it worked just fine for that, but no hot tub or pool. I guess I didn't need to pack my swim suit. We went to the 49ers game so everything was good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Large rooms for the budget-minded"
The Budget Motel has big spacious rooms with a comfortable bed, hot water for showers, and is convenient to the SFO area. It is basic, so be warned you're going to need to bring an iron, hairdryer, and alarm clock or iPhone with you. No breakfast, no frills, and the parking can be a bit peculiar across broken sidewalks. There is a small fridge and microwave […] which are also good for the budget traveler. Really the name "Budget Motel" says it all. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not impressed, but cheap."
Many of the basic hotel things that one would expect were not there, like a working blow dryer, or shampoo, but it was cheap.Genuine Expedia guest review
This Motel needs to be shut down. Conditions of the rooms we stayed in were sub standard. We moved to new rooms on the 3rd night which were in worse condition. The bathroom door had no handle, there was an excessive amont of nicotine all over walls, ceilings etc. Carpet was absolutley discusting. The chairs at the small table looked like someone had […] an accident on them. Some mold on walls. Over all the worst motel I have ever stayed in. Service was ok. Front desk Lady wasnt very friendly... The housekeeper was RUDE... I think she hates her job. The list goes on.... The Health Dept should shut this place down!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Budget Motel is Exactly that"
If you need to stay economically in the San Bruno Area, close to South San Francisco or the Cow Palace, this place is basic and spacious. Just remember to bring your ow everything-- clock, radio, hairdryer, or you'll be taking the bus a mile up the road (traffic too heavy for walking to be safe) to buy it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
PROS The bed was comfortable and clean. The motel was about a mile from the San Bruno BART station. The San Bruno Caltrain station was also nearby. CONS The shower curtain was moldy. The phone books and bible were moldy. The bathroom had poor ventilation. The shower-head was poor; painful water spray. The refrigerator wasn't working. The bathroom door […] didn't latch. SUMMARY It was a convenient place to stay, but I don't want to stay here again. This is the worst motel I've stayed in, and I think I'll be more careful about choosing motels. Motel 6 is basic but nice. This place was worse than motel 6. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
