I am a return guest to the Estherea. The hotel is quite enjoyable. One can tell that it is a labor of love on the part of the owner and staff. Some visitors from abroad my find the room size cramped but this is, in my opinion, more of an issue with European hotels and less with the Estherea. The Estherea is in a great location, it is beautifully decorated, the service is excellent and the staff is friendly and professional. I recommend it highly.

The staff was very friendly and helpful! My only suggestion would be to give more detailed instructions on how to arrive from the airport to the hotel. It is not included in the hotel shuttles and we had a hard time finding out how to take the public transportation. Ended up taking a taxi which cost €40. But it is worth the trouble. Very nice hotel and includes a nice breakfast. We would definitely stay again if visiting Amsterdam.

Only stayed here 1 night - it was convenient and cheaper than the airport hotels for an overnight. Right acrosss the street from the central train station (5 minutes walk), 4.40 Euro and <30 minutes to the airport, lots of restauraunts in the area and plenty of shops - conevnient for luggage as well! Free wifi new TV's. Would stay here again.

This hotel is good value for the money. The room was big, clean and we had a great view of the canal. The hotel is very close to tram stations, restaurants and super markets. We would definitely consider this hotel again.

We needed a place to crash for a few hours before catching a flight and I was looking for something cheap - I found it. The rooms are small, the beds old, the general hotel condition not too great. On the + side, the staff was courteous, helpful, and had the best english of any hotel at which we stayed during a 12 day tour. I missed that the hotel was […] so far away from the airport (can't explain that one) but the woman who checked us in went through the bus & rail schedule and found the best way to get us there on time so everything worked out in the end. We went during a busy weekend so didn't get much choice on hotel selection. Been to Amsterdam before so didn't expect a lot of space. Be warned, very small rooms. There were 3 of us with 3 beds almost right next to eachother. This isn't in the tourist section of town, but is a 5 minute taxi ride. The hotel is old and not well maintained. Carpet is very worn. Flat screen tv was on floor, no remote. There were bugs in the room/bed. Not sure what type. Doors don't have deabolt or 2nd lock.

The webpage of this hotel cheats: there is no wifi, except for the recepción, no hairdryers, no coffee machine. Moreover, halls are dirty, with old stained rugs, and a strong and unpleasant smell in all the area and the rooms. They give you the card to open the door from the previous guest and do not reset them. It should be rated as 1 star at the most. First port of call: receptionist was not friendly, no smile or greeting. even for a 3* the room could have been better decorated. The reception poorly maintained probably;y reflect the attitudes of the receptionist.i.e lack of training. The bar/dining room has not been painted since the day smoking was banned in eating areas. Yellow tobacco stains still […] visible on the walls and the collage of days-gone-by pictures is a reminder of when the room was last decorated. Final comment: if you want somewhere to sleep i.e check in at 21.00 hours and check out at 08.00am that is fine. The room was small. The maid forgot to stock towels in the rooms beforehand. My biggest concern was the security of the room due to the design of the hotel room locks. I believe the locks could be easily picked open. The hotel kept our luggage in a secure location while we checked out early the next morning to see the sights of Amsterdam downtown again. […] The walls appear to be paper thin too. Noise from the traffic easily entered the room. Several sirens during the night and general volume of traffic made the stay annoying. Wir waren zu viert. Zunächst wurde uns ein ziemlich schmutziges Vierbettzimmer im Parterre angeboten,in dem die Clospülung nicht funktionierte. Das 2. Zimmer war wegen der Hitze unerträglich,da man das Fenster nicht öffnen konnte. Als wir schließlich zwei Doppelzimmer im 1. Stock bezogen hatten,versöhnten wir uns mit unserem Schicksal und waren ganz […] zufrieden.Der Boden ist zwar dreckig,aber Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren sauber und auch die Betten o.k. Das Frühstück ist reichlich und gut.Bei der Rezeption gibt es Stadtpläne und einen Gepäckraum.Man kann auch Eintrittskarten und Fahrkarten dort kaufen. Das Personal ist zwar etwas wortkarg , aber bei dem Preis kann man das in Kauf nehmen. Die Lage des Hotels ist gut. Die S-Bahn-Station ist gleich gegenüber.Mit der Linie 1 kann man in 15 Minuten die Innenstadt erreichen. Allerdings geht die letzte Bahn zurück um Mitternacht. Doch zur Not schafft man die Strecke auch zu Fuß. Noch ein Tipp : Gleich am Anfang eine Mehrtageskarte für die diversen Bahnen kaufen. Damit kann man kreuz und quer durch die Stadt und bequem bis zum Flughafen fahren. Read more

Bra område nära till stort grönområde.Hotellet sådär. Bra service men saknade att äta då vi kom fram sent på kvällen. Endast drycker i baren.Hotellrummet hade trasigt golv, sprickor i handfatet på toaletten.Överkast smutsigt.Plus för rena handdukar varje dag.

Es ist kein Luxushotel, aber für einen Kurzaufenthalt in Amsterdam völlig ausreichend. Wir hatten ein 4 Bett Zimmer mit 2 Einzelbetten und einem Etagenbett im Erdgeschoss. Das Fenster konnte man nicht öffnen, aber das liegt wohl an der Sicherheit, da es von der Strasse aus direkt einsehbar ist. Das Frühstück war auch ausreichend, Toast, Brötchen, 2 […] Wurstsorten eine Käsesorte, Eier, Marmelade, Nutella, Kaffee, Tee und Säfte. Man wird also satt. Super Lage zur Tram Station, 2 Gehminuten. Ein schönes Hotel, das allerdings für die Lage etwas außerhalb des Zentrums nicht wirklich preisgünstig ist. Der Strand dort ist nicht ganz so schön, sondern nahe am Hafen und dicht bebaut.

Pick the Tram 1 and you will be there quick. Nice price in Amsterdam, close to the center. Basic service, but quite Ok.

Les hôtels à Amsterdam sont très chers en général par rapport à d'autres villes. Je pense que l'hôtel Belfort offre un bon rapport qualité-prix. La chambre n'était pas grande mais bien confortable et a répondu à toutes mes attentes. Je recommande cet hôtel.

Ik had het hotel geboekt vanwege de locatie, omdat ik de volgende dag voor mijn werk in de buurt moest zijn. Ook de verbinding met het centrum van Amsterdam is prima, maar het piepkleine eenpersoonskamertje tussen de opberghokken was veel en veel te duur voor wat het te bieden had. Das Hotel bietet einen sehr schlechten Service. Ich hatte ein Doppelzimmer gebucht und habe die erste Nacht im Keller schlafen müssen, auf Nachfrage und Beschwerde hieß es, dass leider alles Andere ausgebucht sei. Ich habe das zähneknirschend akzeptiert und vereinbart, dass ich am nächsten Tag umziehen kann. Nach Rücksprache wäre das der Fall am nächsten […] Tag nachmittags gewesen. Als ich von der Arbeit zum Hotel zurückkam, waren wiederum alle Zimmer belegt und mir wurde als Alternative zu dem Kellerloch lediglich ein winziges, etwas heruntergekommenes Einzelzimmer zugewiesen. Der Hotelmanager war nicht zu sprechen, so dass ich zwangsläufig dieses Angebot, trotz Bezahlung für ein Doppelbett annehmen musste. Erst die dritte Nacht habe ich in einem normalen Doppelzimmer geschlafen. Ich musste letztendlich drei Mal umziehen, der Service war sehr schlecht und die Hotelmitarbeiter unprofessionell. Read more

Mal entretenu, petit déjeuner pas très appétissant. De plus il y avait impossibilité de pouvoir invité un ami venu nous rejoindre, le gérant voulait nous soutirer de largent par rapport a cettte personne en plus mais ne voulait pas nous fournir un lit en plus ou de nou fournir une nouvelle chambre avec un lit en plus

Jag har aldrig bott i ett mindre rum, kom knappast in med resväskan, badrummet var större! Med hänsyn till priset och standarden var det nära katastrof! Badrummet höll dock standarden men inte rummet och sängen var som ett jordgolv att ligga på så ryggen fick känna av plågan rejält! Frukosten var minst sagt klen och rätt osmaklig och trist!
