"Vila Sikaa in Trogir, Croatia"Reviewed by Mary T of "Seattle, WA" on Jun 21, 2011
The hotel was very convenient to the marina where our rented boat docked. The staff was friendly and fluent in English and allowed us to check-in early. The room was very comfortable and modern, while being located in a building that was old and historically interesting. The only downsides were the lack of elevator (the rooms are located on the third and fourth floors), and the presence of a disco bar two doors down. The disco only operates on Friday & Sat. nights, so if you are staying one of those nights, request a room on the West or North edge.
"Outstanding!"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Jun 1, 2011
We loved the staff and the hotel, beautiful view from the balcony of our room! Bridge construction in front of the hotel caused some traffic backup, but that is certainly not the fault of the hotel. We expected internet service, and although the staff kept assuring us wireless was available, we were never able to connect to it. That was the only downside to our stay.

"Wonderful apartments in a wonderful location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Sep 23, 2009
If you after a very relaxing holiday in a safe, friendly and beautiful location then I cannot recommend Okrug Gornji on the island of Ciovo highly enough. And the apartments at Villa Kruna Grada are a perfect place to stay. They are very high spec, very comfortable with air conditioning. The couple who run the pace are very friendly. And more importantly they are only 200 metres from the beach and restaurants and bars! We had a lovely stay and will certainly be back.

Sibenik’s centrepiece is its 15th-century white marble Renaissance cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Although many visitors overlook this industrial seaside town, the spectacular waterfalls of Krka National Park lie just 16 kilometres away, and in summer local agencies offer one-day boat trips to the scattered islands of Kornati National Park. Regular ferries serve the nearby islets of Zlarin and Prvic, perfect for bathing.

It's a shame that a resort with so much to offer in such a beautiful place has to have rooms that leave much to be desired. Outside our room, we felt like we were staying in a 3-4 star resort. Inside our room, we felt like we were in a semi-derelict youth hostel. We had to make our own beds, find our own toilet paper, ask for clean towels, etc. The […] housekeeping service amounted to dumping sheets on our bed but NOT cleaning the bathroom, which had no ventilation and years worth of mildew/grime in it. The beds and pillows felt like bags full of wadded t-shirts, and the shower water was only warm in the very early morning. We thought we'd left the university dorms behind us! As for the resort, while it had a huge amount of activities available, a number of restaurants, etc., we felt we were being nickel and dimed wherever we went--being charged for this and that constantly. As for administration, the hotel was on the whole understaffed, but the staff were nice and I believe were trying their best. However, our passports were left out on a desk, unattended for ANYONE in the hotel passing by to take. We had to ask the reception staff to move them to a safer place behind the reception area.
