"Our Favorite Place to Stay in T.O."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Our room had two minor issues which we reported at checkout. (Refrigerator did not work well due to broken seal on door and toilet needed a little tightening) I will trust the hotel will address these maintenance issues. The suite was clean, comfortable and pleasing for our stay. This is always our first choice of accommodations, so much better than a standard room. The Hotel has simple elegance and a top rate, friendly and efficient staff.

GOOD THANKS FOR EVERYTHING
"Adequate, not much more"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
We chose this hotel because it was closer to city center than most others and about half the nightly rate. The room was very clean and bed was pretty comfortable, good water pressure, etc. Furniture and linens were a bit aged but that was no problem. The ice machine wasn't working but the owner of the hotel was kind enough to fill our ice bucket out of her own freezer. Biggest problem with this room was that there was no thermostat, and it was VERY warm the second night. We were able to get the window open a little, but it was about 15 degrees warmer than we would have preferred. Very quick and easy drive to all the major shopping/dining in Burlington. Overall, this motel met our needs and saved us quite a bit of money over the other options. I would stay there again.

"Standard Residence Inn but Lacks Service"
Our family of 3 (child included) typically stay at Residence Inns across the country. This is a standard, clean, nice Residence Inn, nothing out of the ordinary. Although we always give great reviews for Residence Inns, there were issues with this one. Negatives: 1)One of the days we left the room, they did not have it clean when we came back. We left […] at a reasonable time for the cleaning staff to do their 2nd rounds. They claimed that we had a "no service" magnet on our room door which is absolutely false. Nonetheless, they made it somewhat of an issue that we did and we had to call a couple times to get new towels - only to get 2. So the last day and a half we spent our hotel stay with a dirty room/dishes/no towels, etc. In any case, as hotel guests, you should not have to remind the staff to clean your room when you leave around 11:30am or so - you expect the staff to do their rounds throughout the afternoons. We were quite annoyed and highly irritated for the situation, especially when absolutely no remedy was offered (and it doesn't have to be financial - just acknowledge it). The staff didn't seem like they even cared. Big turn off and a big no no. 2)The bed we had was terrible - it would sink in the middle and frankly we did not sleep well for 2 of the 3 nights we were there. 3)Some of the front desk staff was good - but some of the others (the younger ones were just apathetic to help. It seemed like they were just there to collect a paycheck. Positives: 1)The hotel is in Mississauga near western border of Toronto. So if you wanted to stay in Mississauga but visit downtown, it's not a bad choice..you can typically avoid all the Mississauga traffic and shoot down 404? to QEW toward downtown - about 20-30 minutes 2)No real restaurants in the area. Just a bunch of office buildings. However, if you wanted good Indo/Pak restaurants, then it's the perfect spot. I put this as a positive because we love Indo/Pak food! Read more
