We stayed here for the good rates, and were within a 5 minute walk to Doubletree and the other premier hotels and also the awesome Ale House (try the chicken twisters - yummi). The staff at the front desk were awesome, though the sales desk BS'd us by telling us that their tickets were the same cost as at the gate of Universal. Universal gate was cheaper. They also pushed for us to get a 2 day pass saying it takes 28 hours to get thru the two parks. Well we bought the 1 day pass and we were on and off ALL the rides in both parks by 3PM and were heading back to Island of adventure to ride some again. But if we bought the two day pass we would've been bored out of our mind. Granted we did go to Universal on a Tuesday and there were few people there. Also the sales desk told us it was a 15 minute walk. Me and my friends are in marathon shape, it still took us 30 minutes to get there. Lastly they told us that since we are staying in a hotel close to Universal we'd get in at 8, another lie, we arrived at 8:15 and we weren't allowed in until 9, only guests staying in Universal itself at the expensive premier hotels were allowed early entry. So in summation; I would recommend La Quinta but don't go buy your tickets from the liars at the sales desk for any parks. PS - our room smelled like someone smoked in it, it was mild so we didn't complain and the windows opened, that was nice.

This Days Inn is very old and could use a major overhaul. We had booked 2 nights and the first room was uncomfortable and dirty. Plus bugs. In the morning we requested another room and were immediately upgraded to a larger, cleaner, more comfortable room. Front desk was eager to help and maintenance staff also helped to fix a missing chair leg in the new room. Overall we probably would not recommend this Days Inn except for its location and price (be aware of the 'resort' fee added at check-in per day). This is no resort.

Location.
This family-friendly International Drive resort is located on Lake Eve. SeaWorld and Orange County Convention Center are both within 2.5 miles of the property. Orlando International Airport is 15 miles away.
Resort Features.
The Fountains, a Bluegreen Resort, is situated on 54 acres surrounding Lake Eve. The resort includes an indoor/outdoor pool in addition to the 75,000-square-foot Wakoola Springs swimming area, featuring 2 twisting water slides, interactive fountains, and a zero-entry pool. Poolside dining is available. Guests can also take advantage of fishing or paddleboating at Lake Eve. The sizable Clubhouse includes H2O restaurant and Mug O' Joe's coffee shop, as well as a gift shop. Air hockey, video games, and billiards are featured in the kids' center. The property also provides a fitness room, steam room, sauna, and spa tubs. A concierge desk is on site, and staff can arrange dry cleaning/laundry services and express check-out. Parking is complimentary.

"The Fountains a special place"
We all very much enjoyed our stay and all the amenities at the resort. Great location easy access to Disney parks and relaxing spot. Definitllly will return.
The family had an awesome times at your hotel from the clubhouse to the family actives. We would come again.

We had a wonderful stay at the fountains. We wish we could have stayed longer. The pool was a lot of fun for our little ones and older ones. The next time we need a hotel outside of the disney hotels this will be our place to stay.

"Not what I expected"
This hotel was in a nice area, not too far from the parks and restaurants. The unit size which was a 2bed 2 bath was the smallest I've ever stayed in and was in need of some housekeeping. popcorn under the couch, table, and entertainment center. Mold on the shower curtain and even though the jacuzzi was a good size it was not properly clean.

Just make sure they dont try to switch you from the type of room you booked (king two queen to queen two twins) the hotel is fantastic great pools and hot tubs, sauna and steam room. comfortble beds plenty of room for party of 5 teens and adults will stay again

this resort is not set up for travellers with no car - front desk staff have little or no knowledge of surrounding attractions and services - i.e. local busses etc
"Stay Away"
We just got back from a one night stay and I was excited to try The Fountains as I've heard good things. Well let me tell you that was my one and only time ever staying at The Fountains. Checked in at 1:30 p.m. room was not ready, not a big deal they called shortly after to notify us of room being available. Came back got our keys, go in to "room" […] only to find valentine's cards, flowers, cookies and food in the kitchen. THEY GAVE US KEYS TO SOMEONE ELSES ROOM!!! I promptly left went to the lobby and spoke to the "manager" Kevin. I quote the manager as he acted more like this was his first day on the job. I told him about what had happened and he literally just looked at me completely dumbfounded and kept repeating "I don't know how this happened." Took a good 5 minutes and me about turning away before he even half way apologized. Called corporate to complain and the number went to a voice mail not accepting calls. Not an impressive company or stay by any means. Unless you want the front desk to give access to your room to someone else I would stay away. Read more

We have stayed at this resort about 7 times 3 times this year. we have always had a great experience. great location to disney and universal. The only thing we experienced this nov and last oct was the new pool is not warm enough. I asked and was told there was not enough occapancy to heat the pool.. when i was there last march the pool was wonderful, […] so maybe next year we will look in to another location it's sad not to be able to enjoy the new pool.. We stayed in one of the older rooms and found everything to be in good condition and clean. There was plenty of space for four adults and a toddler. The location was great. Close to the Publix, the outlets, and Downtown Disney. The staff was always curteous if not exactly prompt. My only complaint was that it took 24 hours to get additional toilet paper […] sent to the room. Also, we paid for the mid-week maid service and I personally found that it wasn't expensive but it also wasn't worth the money. I would recommend this hotel to others. Read more

Family of 4 with children 9 & 14 years of age.. We loved it, they had activities always planned.. Great food and reasonable prices.. 10 minutes to Disney and 3 minutes to grocery.. One of our favorite part was how beutiful the place looked and the room had plenty of room. The best part was the POOL area nice temp. and very big we swam every day and […] night.. We liked that we werent in the disney resort to have a break, so if you like some privacy this would be great for you. They did not bug us about the timeshare either.. The only thing my husband was disappointed in was that there was a charge for the internet to your room.. $10 a day.. They need to update this, you can go the club house and use the computers but there are only 3, and you have 30m minutes to use.. We will stay here again that is for sure... Read more
"Great Room and Location for the Money"
Overall very pleased with the hotel, quickness of check-in etc. The pool was exceptional and hotel staff had things for the kids to do around the pool, although most of our time was spent at Disney. The kitchen could have been a little better stocked with a couple of pots and pans to use. We wound up improvising in the microwave for a few planned meals. […] We didn't mind the fact that there was no daily maid service, since it is like renting a condo, not a hotel room. Finding the correct place to dispose of your own garbage was a little bit of a drag. The map in the room showed a container for rubbish out near the parking lot. I couldn't locate it. We did expect it to be clean corner to corner when we arrived. Overall it was, but we did find major dust balls and balls of "someone else's" hair in the corners of the master closet and both bathrooms. Typical of a rush cleaning job whereby it was probably a quick mop job and stuff just gets pushed into the corners. Other than having to use wet tissues to clean it up the room was nicely decorated and comfortable. Plenty of closet and drawer space for a family of 6. The room and general grounds area were very quiet and relaxing. Nice view from the balcony of the pool area and fountains in the pond areas. If the rate were in the same range as this visit, we would book it again on our next trip. Read more

This hotel and the amenities were awesome. the security was a lot to be desired. the night before we left our room was broken into and we had almost $10,000 worth of belongings taken. It made us very uneasy. The resort told us they "never" reimburse people when this happens. It also just so happened there was no survailence on the building we were staying […] in. I say spend the extra money and stay on Disney property, and it is a shame because we had planned on making this our destination for every trip to Orlando. Not now. Read more

We stayed for 2 weeks at the end of August and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting really good quality and spacious self-catering accommodation. It lies close to sea world and around 10 minutes(depending on traffic) from downtown disney. On site there are two swimming pools, one a leisure pool with kids water play area and two slides and the […] other a pool which lies half indoors in the club house. The food at the poolside and clubhouse is also good quality and ranges from burgers, tacos, fries, and sandwiches. There is a Dominos pizza on site and an excellent japanese restaurant next door called Behinana. Otherwise you need to drive to restaurants and there is an outback steakhouse, large supermarket, macdonalds and other shops within half a mile on Vineland Ave opposite the premium outlets centre. We needed a two bedroom two bath and kitchen for my wife, four year old daughter, my grandmother and myself. I will NEVER stay on Disney property again. I will stay here everytime i come to Orlando. The price was outstanding. Awesome pools, bars, slides, security, clubhouse,and the pictures don't do this place justice. It is beautiful. On the positive side, the rooms were great (2 Bedrooms, fully stocked kitchen, very clean, screened in porch was great with view of fountains and pools - they replaced towels as requested...service was fast, beds were very comfortable)...each issue was dealt with by the hotel immediately (button on elevator didn't work and was fixed within 30 min)..the […] pools (several of them) were great...they had daily games & entertainment for the kids...the kids didn't want to go anywhere but stay at the pools..waterslide, & spray area..they have numerous arcades, pool tables, ping pong...it truly is a resort in itself..the only negative is that the complex is so big, if you are in Bldg 8, it takes a while to walk to clubhouse where gym is..however, it IS right by the pool. Also, got locked out and security opened my door without checking ID...said I looked honest??? Also, got a key at front desk - they also did not require ID so I felt that security in that area is lax (I had issues with my keys but I think it had to do with my magnetic bracelet). I am very picky about where I bring my family to stay. The whole area seemed new and very nice. I was very happy with how new everything was and how every detail was planned to make the guests happy, including a washer and dryer. I brought home all my clothing clean, which I expected to have to pay for. The pots, pans, coffee pot, glasses, everything […] was new. Overall, the Fountains Resort is a nice place - good property condition, good location, good security, good value, and very spacious "condos". However, the staff was really indifferent to our request (in advance) for a unit near the pool. We were there for a total of a week and made our reservations well in advance. The check-in process is slow and […] very little info is provided to you during the process. The units are more like condo's than hotel rooms. Each unit has 2 (or 3) bedrooms and 2 baths with a living, dining and a full kitchen including a washer and dryer. Each unit also has a screened-in balcony, 3 TV sets, a DVD player and stereo with CD player. To summarize....On the positive side are: Price, location (equal distance to WDW and Universal), spacious 2bd/2ba units, and large pools. On the negative side: Front desk staff service. Read more
"My Week Vacation July 2009"
The registration process was quick and they allowed to checked in early. The rooms were very spacious and really nice. The pools and clubhouse were very nice. i will definetaly stay there again.

The front desk staff were not friendly. I waited about 30 minutes to get my room. The attendant left me for a very long while, without returning to advise that she was searching for a room. We got there right at check in time. The room was not well cleaned, we could not use the pull out sofa because it was all stained and dirty. The rooms are small […] and the bed was uncomfortable. We thought there would be no way it would be as good as the pictures online, BUT it was better than we could hope.Lots of activities for the kids.My only complaint is they shut the pool down at 10pm. and it should be open until atleast 11pm. or maybe midnight.

"Great Place"
We stayed at The Fountains for the first time in April and enjoyed it so much we stayed again at the end of June. We had one issue with the DVD player not working. We called the front desk and within 15 minutes someone was there to fix it. Will stay again.
"romantic hotel for couples"
My husband and I went to the Fountains for our one year anniversary and completely enjoyed ourselves. The clean room, professional staff, large pools made for a wonderful experience. We enjoyed watching the Sea World fireworks from our balcany!

"Outstanding Hotel."
We have stayed in the Olando area many times in the past and the Fountains Resort is one of the best we have stayed at. The room was clean and the pool with waterslide was a hit with the kids. The entertainment at the pool was always fun. This is an excellent place to stay for a Family.

having to wear armbands all the time and use keys for everything (rooms and towels) is a bit much during a vacation. The two pools are very nice; however, are not open that late. Overall, the location and price make up for this resorts shortcomings.

We've stayed at this hotel twice now and would definitely recommend it, especially for larger families. We had a party of 6 (3 kids & 3 adults) and there was plenty of room. Couldn't beat the price either! Will be back!

We recently stayed at The Fountains for five nights. We had asked for the building with renovated rooms but they were not available. Both of their pools are pretty good. Beware to those who are addicted to the internet that it is not available in you rooms. You have to go to the clubhouse to use their computers which are beyond slow and there were a […] line of ppl waiting for the 2 computers. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay (also remember you have to pay more for room cleaning). Worth the price, relaxing atmosphere, and will stay with them again. Read more
"Stay was great except for internet access"
The overall stay was great. The only thing that was missieving is the access to the internet. We thought that internet service was included in the price, but we were sadly mistaken. The fee was outrageous for the amount of time we were there. I have never have had to pay for internet access before when I have been traveling. The person at the desk told […] me that most big hotels make you pay for service. If you think made me feel better, guess again. "Will not be returning to this resort....."
The resort needs a complete over haul. The couch and bed were so uncomfortable, unable to get a good nights sleep, living room fan switch was broken, microwave oven door frame was broken, bath#2 had loose HOT water faucet, carpets stained, and found diabetic syringe on the master bedroom floor. These are issues that should have been resolved long before […] my arrival and I should not have to spend my vacation time awaiting for repairs.
