"Perfect Stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The Westin was perfect! Stayed in a suite with friends for a weekend away. The hotel was clean and the service was great. The location is perfect for walking and dining in the old port and totally accessible if you want to spend time downtown or further North. No complaints!

Price at the restaurant was high ei $16.00 for glass of house wine. Gym under reno and card for other facility didn't work

"Perfection in Old Montreal"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 3, 2012
We only stayed the one night at Place d'Armes hotel, on our way back to Vancouver and then home, but we wished we had more time, and will return. The hotel staff were both welcoming and efficient (not a combination one often finds), and the hotel itself was immaculate in every respect. The room was flawless in its design, the bed was soft enough to be comfortable, but not so soft as to feel like one is clambering from a bean-bag, upon rising, (as I found in so many hotels in the States!) I particularly appreciated that the designers had eschewed a bath/shower combination in the large bathroom, and installed a large, stone-clad, walk-in shower with a beautiful glass shower screen, instead. The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring Old Town Montreal by foot, which was just what we wanted to do, since we only had the one night. When we checked out, we left our luggage with Place D'Armes, mentioned when we would return for our flight and, when we did, a taxi was already awaiting us. Immaculate service.

The staff goes out of their way and are very friendly. Clean and comfortable. Location is great for walking to Chinatown, old port area, etc. Will go back!
"Great hotel"
This was an excellent choice. I picked it a bit at random, and found the location ideal, half a block from the Berri-UQAM metro station, which was very convenient. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was spacious and very quiet. One minor point: the included breakfast was not the greatest, though it provided sufficient sustenance, which is […] possibly because they were renovating the dining room and lacked space. They served the food and beverages with Styrofoam (which was a bit disturbing), but it was probably because of the renovation. In any case, I would definitely stay there again. Read more
"Close to all transportation"
It's close to everything. Remember to buy a $7 one day pass or a $14 3 day pass at the airport. This shuttle will take you all the way to the major hotels, including this one. Then you may use this pass on the subway system. Which is also near by the hotel.
"Great Location"
I spent three nights at this hotel and was very pleased with the overall experience. Its a great location right off the highways coming in and out of downtown Montreal. It is also in walking distance of many resturants, bars and nightlife. I would have to say that the only negative comments would be the parking which is very tight. The Breakfast is […] nothing to get excited about, but there are numerous places to grab breakfast in the area. Overall I would stay here again. Read more
"Comfort Inn: comfort first"
Don't be mistaken by the rating of this hotel. It easily deserves 3+ stars, and only doesn't get them, I think, because of its location right next to the Greyhound station--which didn't bother me in the least. Even my view on the fourth floor over the bus slips was kind of surreal, in a good way. I ordered a large room with a queen as opposed to a […] smaller one with a king but with a city view (this was last minute reservation). For a total of $3 dollars more, the former also came with a decent breakfast, including Belgian waffles with real maple syrup. Definitely work getting that in your deal. The room was large, comfortable and clean. Sofa, air conditioning, coffee maker, desk with chair, long table, small table, internet--all this made it well equipped. Staff was kind and accommodating. Decor and lobby were simple. Not "ritzy" strictly speaking, everything here is about comfort and convenience. "Tres commode," as the French say. Read more
"review"
clean place and decent location. but parking is absolutely terrible!
"not great"
Stayed one night - would not stay another. Room was supposed to be non-smoking, but smelled of smoke. Bathroom was falling apart & room was old and worn. Location is around the corner from the large bus station, and near a bicycle rental rack (they are everywhere in Montreal). Breakfast is toast and hard-boiled eggs with a few fruits. Would have thought […] a hotel at this level would run significantly cheaper...but Montreal's prices are high in general. Read more
"Decent Room for the money in a very convienent location"
This hotel is reasonably nice, at least for the rooms in the front section of the hotel. The breakfast was a bit sparse, at least by US standards, consisting of a limited selection of fruit, one kind of muffins, boiled eggs, bread for toast and sometimes toaster waffles. On the other hand, this hotel is located adjacent to the central bus station, […] which is also the destination of the airport shuttle bus, and one of the entrances to a main Metro station with access to 3 of the 4 lines. This makes the hotel an ideal hopping off point for most of the main tourist destinations if you are willing to use the metro. The staff was consistently at least bilingual and could communicate very well in English, and was always friendly and willing to offer assistance. Read more
"Great for the location"
Visited MTL for DiverCite event, was walking distance to everything that the Village had to offer. Rooms were quiet, clean and spacious. Room service was fine. Concierge was helpful in recommending tourist locations and how to get around. The bus station is right next door, couldn't be more convenient. Thumbs up!
"awful breakfast"
The buffet breakfast in the morning consisted of frozen waffles, toast, muffins, and cantalope on plastic plates with plastic silverware and no water! I would recommend going out for breakfast.
"it is the worst hotel that I have been"
- the beds are not clean some sheets had yellow spot on that. - there is city bus terminal just behind the hotel and whole night you have the noise of buses and terminal announcement speaker location is not to close to downtown you need steel driving or take a bus.

"Great Stay"
The hotel and our room were very nice and very true to the photo. The location was perfect. Right by St Catherine in the gay village and around the corner from the subway. The only negative is the parking lot. It's very tight and a little expensive comparing to parking garages around. Otherwise a wonderful place to say,
"Walking distance to Old Montreal"

"Comfort Hotel & Suites Downtown Montreal"
Read more
"a conseiller"
