First not enough towels in the room again. Then the people in the room next to us had children the children wake up at 5:30am that morning running screaming and banging on the wall. They never went back to bed. So we were up for the day. The spa was hot enough but had no jets.. Not to sure we will be staying there again.

The room was clean and the in-house restaurant was top-notch. But the indoor swimming pool was very cold and the hot tub was luke warm one day, and too hot the next. We chose this hotel mostly because it had a pool for the children, but after a day of skiing, coming back to a lukewarm hot tub and a chilly pool were a big disappointment. I checked in around 10pm. The person at the front desk was busy chatting with someone on Yahoo. I could see the screen. Clearly, I was bothering her by needing to check in. The room was comfortable once the heat came up. But the heat and ac units are covered over by drapes. The design was riduculous. The lighting in the room was terrible. You had […] to walk across the dark room in order to turn on the lights. They use VERY low wattage light bulbs so the room was always dreary. The lighting in the bathroom was just unacceptable. It's a good value for the money and in a great location overlooking the lake and within walking distance of the main street. The bathroom was huge, but had seen better days. The only complaint was the bathroom was very small. and all though the pool was closed for remodeling, they comped us at the pool next door which was great for the kids. will be using this place again. cleaning lady was pleasant and very accomadating..

very nice. the two room suite was very nice and clean. we wanted a sitting area. there was enough space in one room but it needed two more chairs and a table. We moved chairs from the other room but a small table ( coffee table) would have been good. our party was two adult couples, no children so a sitting area was important to us. We travel as couples […] a lot and try to find these suites so we can unwind and discuss our trip. one room had a bed that needed to be replaced, we just used the other bed, but if one needs two queen beds this would not have worked. The hotel was in a good area at the end of the shops in Lake Placid. The room was very clean, although I got a good laugh over how shoddy the tile installation was in the bathroom. Also, the hallway smelled musty and the hallway carpet had stains on it. But the service was good, and the room was fine.

Our room had a partial lake view, which put us directly on the road. It got a bit noisy every time a vehicle passed, especially a semi or motorcycle. Thankfully traffic was very light at night in Lake Placid. The Internet access was good when it could be accessed, but it was hard to connect to. Maybe too many users at one time? The hotel needs updating. It's in a good location, and the staff was very helpful, but it needs an update. The bed and furniture were quite old, the carpets were worn and the hallways needed cleaning.

Location, Location, Location are the three best features of this hotel. Easy walking distance to resturants, shops, etc. Lots of room to put your ski equipt, hiking boots, backpack and other sports stuff. You don't have to travel far to use all the afore mentioned as well. The furnature and trim showed signs of wear and tear and some painting and remodeling […] would enhance things a lot. We were very surprised it was at the edge of Mirror Lake convenient to downtown and a beautiful hotel. The staff was so accommodating. Every other hotel around was more expensive. Great hotel, great staff, great location, great price!!

Upon checking in, we went to our room which had a horrible odor! I went to the front desk where they not only fixed the problem but upgraded our room free of charge! The new room was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip!

Overall, I feel the staff is just not trying very hard at this hotel. The "continental breakfast" was a loaf of bread for toasting and some muffins and doughnuts in plastic wrap. The juice machine was broken, so the only beverage was coffee.....no milk, juice or even water available to drink! We had to eat breakfast out every morning, an expense we […] had not planned on. We stayed 3 nights & used the pool every day. No one was re stocking towels and after our last visit to the pool, we had used the last clean towel. We were there in the off season (2nd week of May) and the hotel wasn't busy so I don't understand why there was so little attention paid to details that can really make or break a guest's visit. My wife and I stayed overnight with our two young children (2 and 5). The hotel was clean, and convenient to the Lake Placid Main Street. View from our window overlooked the lake and was beautiful, especially a spectacular sunrise over the lake! The restaurant Alegria was the most pleasant surprise. The food was fantastic at very affordable pricing. […] Our children had more choices on their menu than I have seen at many "family" style restaurants. The servers were extremely patient with them, and their food came out quickly. Ours came out later as planned after cocktails. I cannot emphasize enough how great the dining experience was. One minor complaint about the room would be to have more than one garbage can in the room. Little ones generate trash (diapers etc.). We were pleased to have a recycling can in our room as well. We will be back in the fall for the beautiful autumn scenery. Read more

Convenient location to all Lake Placid attractions- clean and comfortable hotel but in need of some updating and could use a general renovation, hot tub and pool not great. Overall, a decent stay for the price.

Cable TV didn't work, plants at the pool were invested with flying bugs, found ants in the room and maintenance staff did not respond to request for assistance. Hotel was in a nice area but would not recommend.

Read some bad reviews but I was pleased with the hotel. Room was clean, bathroom was fine. Only complaint is the parking. Was packed but ther was snow piled so maybe that was the cause. Would return.

Our room was spacious, clean and warm, and there was no shortage of hot water for showers. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Located at the top of Main Street afforded the opportunity to walk out to eat dinner and explore the village. However, the property is in need of repairs and maintenance. There were nail pops in the walls, peeling sheetrock […] around the tub, the drapes froze to the window overnight. The bathroom needs a fan. While the pool is a good size and clean, the pool area needs repairs and upgrades, especially to the floor.
