The price was right.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is ok and reasonably located. The best part of my stay was the service the woman at the desk that evening was the most professional and kind individual to me. If Americas Best Value wants to flourish in their industry they would take tips from the woman who assisted my stay on the evening of 4/9/2014.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient and basic"
Very friendly staff and great Mexican food in the quaint area. Across the street from the Budweiser plant! Really cool.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A not so cheap bed. That is all"
I called a few hours prior to check in to let them know that we were on the road and wouldnt be checking in until about 2:30am. The man who answered just yelled "We dont have any rooms for you!" I tried to explain that I had already booked the hotel room earlier that morning and he still protested that he had no rooms. I freaked out thinking that I'd […] have no where to sleep that night so I tried explaining again... and again.. and again that I'd already purchased the room and that they had no reason to give away my room. I gave him my name and we finally got it figured out but he was so curt and rude that I almost gave up. When we did arrive we discovered that there were no parking spaces left, even tho we specifically asked about it. He instructed us to park behind someone else and said he would call us in the morning when that person decides to leave. Of course that person decided to leave early the next morning so we got a call at 7am, asking us to move our car. The air conditioning also wasn't working very well and when it did it smelled foul, like smoke. We opened the windows to get some air while we slept but was kept up all night by the loud freeway noises! ... never again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"DON'T DO IT!"
I guess I should have taken the hint when I called the hotel a day prior to arriving to change some information on my reservation and the employee that was assisting me barely spoke a lick of English and didn't really understand my problem and refused to let me speak to the manager. I chose it because of the close distance to USC where I was taking […] a board exam and should have thought twice when we arrived and it was in a pretty rough area of LA. The rooms were old and poorly kept and the most offsetting aspect was the smell of urine that lingered. I itched throughout the night which had me thinking there were bugs crawling all over me. I had booked the room for 4 nights but after only getting 3 hours of sleep the first night I couldn't bare thinking about staying any longer so I stayed up making arrangements at another hotel. We ended up moving to a hotel near the airport which was 10x better than this place and in my opinion well worth the extra money and slightly longer drive time. Save yourself the disappointment! "A nice small room, but beware tax doesn't included"
I was happy about the room, but not Hotels.com. It showed $0.00 in tax when I was booking the room , didn't realize that the amount that Hotels.com showed me didn't included taxes and service fees. Free parking , very simple breakfast, walls were a little bit thin, air-conditioner was a little bit loud . Overall not bad for the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"AMERICAS BEST VALUE INN in Los Feliz / Eco Park"
The hotel was clean and quiet enough to get a goodnights sleep. We did have to change from our original assigned room because it had a foul sewage order. We were quickly given a new room and all was well and fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good budget stay"

Stayed with a friend a couple of weeks ago in a room with 2 queens. Cable, good sized TV, fridge, microwave, air conditioning, comfy enough beds. Walking distance to plenty of stores and restaurants. What more do you want? We were happy here.

I stayed here in mid of June. Building looks old. Parking available at two places. Front side parking is very limit. Backside is very narrow. Taking out the car from parking is not comfortable. Inside the room bathroom is very small that has washbasin, toilet basin and shower tub. If you are stout person wile sitting on toilet basin your left shoulder will touch the wall. Shower tub is very small and water gets out from shower tab is very slow. Hence tab fills with water quickly. You need to wait 2 or 3 minute to open shower again. Room has small microwave. It is gives beep nearly every 30 minute once. I was trying seeing the reason but I could not stop the beep sound. Those made me not to sleep properly. In the room they have radio clock. If any one goes near the clock with mobile the speaker from radio gives very much noise. Break fast available in the office room. But only two can sit in the room. Hence you need to bring your breakfast to room. For that they provide small paper plate. On the plate you can keep only one small muffin. Now you can assume how small plate it is. In the breakfast area only muffin, 2 juice, tea available. They charge 100$ room deposit along with room charge. It is not informed before. This is the hotel most unhappy every I stayed.
"Clean and updated"

I stayed at this hotel because it was in walking distance of the workshop I was attending. I did not want to rent a car. The hotel is an older property but the rooms have been updated. My room was clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfy and I slept well. Rooms have a good size fridge and microwave. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. You have to pay for your stay in advance. They advertise a free continental breakfast which consists of wheat or white bread, "Danish" style pastries (the kind you might see in a convenience store), coffee and tea. I ended up going to the McDonalds that is 2 blocks away for breakfast. There is a 99 Cents store across the street that sells groceries. The area around the hotel was described to me as "sketchy". I felt safe walking around in daytime hours but would not at night. There are two hospitals nearby so sirens were common. I always travel with ear plugs so it wasn't a problem for me. This hotel was convenient, economical and suited my needs for this business trip. The pool was closed and there is no fitness center.

Graveyard shift rented my room out and had someone walk in on us. Scared my granddaughters and wife to death when they entered the room at 1 AM. Complained to management, front desk, and nothing. Had this occurred during the day all my stuff would probably be gone, and just a "sorry" to cover for it.....staff incompetent, cleaning personnel very good. Smell in room, very tight parking area in front. East LA not very safe anyway, thought I booked the other hotel with same name in downtown LA. Homeless living a couple hundred yards down the street under Hollywood Freeway (US101). Traffic loud from street. Would not stay here again.
"Turned out to be a great hotel on a budget... Will stay here again."

Stayed here last night while my daughter was inpatient at CHLA hospital just 1 mile up the street. I was leary to book the room at first but went ahead and was NOT disappointed once i parked and was greeted by friendly staff and housekeeping etc.. The room was simple, basic, roomy yet clean and affordable. WiFi was easy to connect to and worked perfect. The shower was also clean and newly remodeled. Nice hot water with good pressure too. Bed was basic but was fine for a good nights sleep. The neighborhood was ehhh but honestly I walked it to grab a bite to eat and no one bothered me and seemed to be pretty much keeping to themselves. I would definately sleep here again.
"Very good for price."

The hotel is placed in a not too salubrious part of downtown LA but the facilities were more than adequate. The only problem was noise from adjacent rooms as it seemed the hotel was a favourite spot for - shall we say - mattress-testing! Still, it was all good fun and good value for money.
"Cheap hotel location could be better"

This hotel was our first stop in LA. The staff here are friendly. The WIFI signal is great. Breakfast consists of coffee and a few pastries. The rooms are big and facilities worked fine. The main issue I have with this place is its location. We wanted to see Hollywood walk of fame etc. We did liook into this before we went however when we got there we had to catch a bus and then a train to the walk of fame. Although this isnt a major issue the area aint the greatest. Its full of homeless people, theres rubbish all over the floor and it just doesnt look like the place you want to be at night,
"Great value for money!"

We really enjoyed our stay in this cosy motel! The rooms are spacious and comfortable with all you need for a pleasant stay including free fast wifi to browse LA amenities. It's not too far away from the city centre - we walked it in under an hour with a beautiful park on the way. And I really appreciated the hospitality of the staff. The specific thing to mention - for family reasons we were obliged to leave one day in advance! The hotel manager understood the situation and agreed to refund the full price of this night! Thank you so much for that! When we are around next time, we will definitely stay in the Americas best value inn Hollywood!

I booked this at the last minute and I was leery. No worries. his motel is clean, safe and well priced ($95 per). It appears to be recently renovated with a Hacienda themed decor. I slept well on a comfy bed; it was quiet at night. There was a microwave and fridge in my room. The breakfast was simple but good (rolls, juice, coffee). The staff is friendly and bilingual (Engliish/Spanish). The area seems central to the L A metro. Sunset BLVD is not far north about two blocks with good restaurants, shops, and bars.
"My recent stay"

I stayed here for 3 days in August. It was the best place i could find for a cheap price. I was surprised to see how nice it was. The rooms were newly renovated and they were clean. the bed was very comfy. There was a tv in the room and free wifi. the shower was good and had good water pressure. There is a pool at this location too, it is very small, but the water was just beautiful to swim in and it is private. It is a convenient location, there is a bus stop right outside the hotel and the hotel is also less then a 10 min walk away from the underground train. Across the street there is a huge dollar store, where everything is a dollar. They have a lot of food their as well, including milk and fruit and veggies so that is very convenient.
